Screen: P11, P11+, and Yoga Tab 11 are similar, but P11 and P11+ screen are interchangeable. It's sharp and bright, and contrast is really good considered it's IPS
Audio: P11+ is actually good even it's not better than Yoga Smart and P11 Pro. However, there's a jump between one step from max and it should be re-calibrated. There's no headphones jack and it's recommended to buy Samsung USB C headphones adapter from Best Buy (it can achieve up to 24bit/96kHz using Poweramp manual audio output setting)
Battery: it's looking good. You can use 18 or 27 watts (5v standard or 9v express) USB-PD charger
Hardware: it's similar with Yoga Tab 11, but I notice some difference
It has some minor issue with Discovery+ with Yoga Tab 11, but P11+ is good
There's no any stuttering nor sluggish problem with Sling and Philo (or other cable TV app) on both P11+ and Yoga Tab 11
Connection: it works fine with Asus router in Wi-Fi 5 mode
Conclusion: if you consider P11, go for P11+ instead, and you'll be glad you did

I usually go for non branded units of eBay they are simply cheaper. But having a look at your two choices I'd recommend the Anker Astro Pro 14400mAh. Neither on the Amazon page nor the Samsung product page could I find the the output amps for the Samsung. For most modern devices you need to have a 2A output. The Anker clearly states that it has

I got an Anker 13000 portable power pack. It works slick.
+1 for anker...i have the 10000 model and it's great, and their support is awesome
I was just reading about the top 5 most popular external battery packs over on Life HAcker and the Anker was the most popular among users polled.

8A/h should be good enough for Note 8. More than that only increases the overall weight.

Good to know. If you're only using the tablet for media who needs more?
The only thing I use that stresses my SD870 is SVP player but tbh I could live without using it.
Does it still have the aluminium body and dolby vision?

I'm torn between this two options. I want the p11 plus because of its better 750g sd (vs 662 sd), but there are some disadventages as well. Both from aliexpress. The seller there told me that the p11 6gb comes with the official global firmware. The seconed option is p11 plus (from two sellers). One seller sells it with regular "global version". In the seconed one, one or two of the buyers wrote that it is not global, but translated. Bo tablets are Chinese of course. Both plus tablets comes with Zui. I'm from europe. My usages are mainly reading, movies and i have a habbit of opening many tabs in chrome. On a smaller note, im a bit concerned of the possible bluish tint and pwm. Thank you
P11 (plus) can set color temperature with 3 settings or use the palette to tune to your flavor.
US version P11+ has MTK G90T which is comparable with 730.
I have Yoga Tab 11 (similar hardware with P11+) and I am satisfied with it, but I hate P11 due to sluggish TV performance

What do you mean by sluggish tv performance? I can only choose between p11/p11 plus from aliexpress because of the total price. So i have to decide between p11 with official global lenovo firmware (without google certification probably) vs the p11 plus that is worse and has only a global firmware. I guess not all settings are inplace and somethings arent translated right. I dont know if the difference in processing power worth it.
I saw that its possible to set temperature to warm in the p11. Im wrong?

Play Sling TV and/or Philo on app and see it yourself.
It was completely unwatchable with Q, and R is better a bit, but it's not smooth enough.
On the other hand, Yoga Tab 11 has no problem playing Sling TV and Philo

Both P11 and P11+ are exactly same in dimensions and cutout/button layout.
P11 cases will fit P11+ and vice versa
Screen protectors for P11 fits P11+ and Yoga Tab 11
However, watch out USB C headphones adapter. Fortunately, Moto Z3 headset adapter (analog) is compatible with P11 and P11+, but Yoga Tab 11 and P11 Pro does not have headphone amplifier.
Granted, Samsung USB C headset adapter sold from Best Buy is the best bet for all. Moreover, Google Pixel USB C headset adapter and Apple USB C headset adapter are compatible
If you need additional charger, make sure your charger supports 18 watts (or 27 watts) USB-PD or QC
My old Z3 TC is getting unreliable and is showing its age. What's a good replacement?
It must be a similar size i.e 8" or 9" screen. I'm considering the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite but the screen resolution is a lot less, 179ppi compared to 283ppi for the old Sony.
My usage is mostly browsing, ebooks, occasional video and occasional GPS.
Has anyone had both and can compare? Any other recommendations to consider?

Thanks for your quick reply. The user reviews on GSM Arena are less than complimetary, and the screen resolution is even lower than the A7 Lite. Do you watch videos on your M9?

Don't confuse screen-resolution ( screen width x screen height ) & pixel-density ( pixels per inch ).
As with all Android devices both the screen resolution and the PPI can get set by you.
Sure, but you can't exceed the manufacturer's maximum.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active3 looks good, but it's very expensive for a tablet.
