Hi there,
Can anyone please let me know if android auto is working fine with this device?
Thanks a lot!
Android auto is working for me, but it's not fast, so sometimes you have to be patient and reconnect phone, because car screen gives error "device not responding, try again".
I use it like 3 days a week for many hours.
If you have bigger budget, then go for 9T or something with normal cpu
Thanks a lot!

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me as I have 2 problems with my XDA Exec that have just started happening and I do not know if its a fault or I can change the options:-
1. At the same time each day the phone goes into Flight mode i.e. it basically turns itself off. Is this a fault?
2. When making a phone call or answering one , the speaker option is always on.
Please note for both these issues they have only just started and I have been using the phone for 9 months so far.
thanks a lot
What 3rd party apps do you have installed/running??
None, I Pretty Much Use It Out Of The Box, The Problems Have Only Just Started Happening
will try , thanks
Hi,
First of all I just want to say thank you to all the good people at xda. I am very new to Android and I have found much more useful things on here than anywhere else.
I recently got a Milestone XT720. It was running on Dexters Froyo. It had a whole bunch of issues but most were fixed when I finally decided to try to flash a newer ROM (First time) and went with the CyanogenMod 6.3 RC3 thanks to a Tutorial from this forum.
The only issue that remains now is that whenever you press the power button to return from sleep to just check the time or notifications the music stutters for just a millisecond. And then does the same when going back to sleep again.
I have found that turning off the auto rotate screen option will stop the stutter but that's not really a solution as much as a bad compromise.
Does anyone else have the same issue? Could trying a different rom make a difference? I am really starting to warm up to the XT720 and would really appreciate if someone could help out with this!
Oh and possibly worth the mention is that I flashed the cyanogenmod over Dexters and did not go back to stock in between. I have also tried the supercharger script on aggressive without any luck.
Thanks all!

Music pause is common problem on our devices. AFAIK turning off the auto-rotation sensor is the only solution. I have tried several ROMS but it happens with all of them.
Hello, i`m a proud user of Z3, bought it yesterday and totally happy with it, but i ran into quite big issue for me. GPS turns off whenever i lock my screen, every time i unlock GPS starts to seek for signal and it takes few moments, i would be glad if it would stay on all the time. Does anyone know how can i change this?
Thank you!

Not quite sure, but do you have stamina mode on?
I'm not fully into this, but if mobile data gets cuttted off (by stamina mode), then the GPS will stop working fully (it standards search with both GPS and mobile data).
So try go into stamina settings and allow background data when screen is off.
Sure is something to do with stamina mode where it will off the background data and power usage when screen lock... You can go in the stamina and select GPS or other services to allow it to continue running even after screen lock.

Mine doesn't do that, in fact on the weekend I had google maps doing walking nav for me, I locked the screen and had the phone in my pocket. I had forgot that I had not shut it down, and got a surprise of an american voice in my pocket tell me that I had reached my destination.
I am sure the GPS on all the time will be determined by the application that is using it.
I have another app that tracks my movements to sync up with my camera later for geocoding and works flawlessly.
And as mentioned here also, it could have something to do with stamina if you have that turned on.
So what app are you using to utilise the GPS? It will also need to continue to be running in the background to work as well.
Hey! thank you all for your input, i will look into your advice.
Hi All,
Since last 4 weeks Android Auto isn't working properly with my One Plus 6.
As soon as I connect the USB with the phone, the Car HU shows "Android Auto Connected" & then there's a black screen. Nothing pops up any further in the Car HU.
I've zero clue so as to why all this is happening.
I've tired reinstalling but of no use.
Observation on Phone: When I click Android Auto app on my OP6, the App opens momentarily & then crashes. Second time when I try to open the App again it does open.
Unable to to use AA is very annoying. I'd be more than glad if anyone can come up with a solution.
Thanks in advance.
Ever since updating to ColourOS11, android auto has been freezing on me when the screen is off however activating the screen will unfreeze it.
Is anyone else experiencing this or if anyone knows a fix besides 30m screen timeout.
The issue's been mentioned on a couple of other threads, from what I've read it seems to be a Android 11 issue in general, not just limited to Oppo / ColorOS. Haven't seen a way to fix this so far, seems like one has to wait for an update to fix it and until then keep the screen on...

Yea I had a look through some other threads. Turning off AOD and Fingerprint while screen off seems to somewhat work abiet still glitchly. Been in contact with Oppo who seems to only want me to send the phone into the service centre but I am waiting for Christmas break to be over and send it then otherwise hopefully a update by then but doubts.
I just had the issue, but by leaving it plugged in and letting the connection time out, it reset and connected. Took about a minute.
I finally got the ColorOS 11 update and now Android Auto is having this issue. Really rather annoying as I've only just got a new car and had Android Auto so was enjoying it!
Basically same issue where the car screen just locks up until you unlock the phone screen (i still get audio prompts for directions in google maps etc so Android Auto is still running). Seems to be a standoff between the OEM's and Google. Looking at other forums some OnePlus phones have the same issue (BBK group thing perhaps!)

I solved this issue going into developer options and activating the "keep screen on while charging" mode. The display will remain on, but with a very low brightness level.
