First of all i know there is a thread which concludes with that it would result in overheating and stuff. I am running bliss os 11.13 which comes installed with arm64 and arm support. When i try to install a arm64 app it works fine however there is a app that i want to install that knows something is up and says that it wants arm64 -v8 processor. I thought that by using gl tools it would hide the specs. i chose the profile the most closest to my pc. It still detects it as something else. How can i fake the architecture for the app to run. Please help.

as written, i have motorola atrix (MB860).
I whould like to know if any of you guys operating systems recognizing your 2 cores? is it identifies Cortex A-9 chipset?
all of my operating systems (...includding ics alpha and beta ) so far always showed : arm v7 instead of arm v9.
now, i have two questions:
1: Do you ran into a version which idetifies the correct (arm A-9) chipset?
2: This one is ONLY for who knows for sure - is "arm v7" just wrong tagging name and the system is working and using the changes made from arm v7 to arm v9? (ofcourse in that case i won't mind what's written as long as the device working as it should).

Fedora has released Fedora-17-beta-armhfp-xfce, a system image compatible with Tegra devices. A kernel image is not included. So, my first question is: Are there any kernels being tweaked and developed by xda members that are compatible with the the Fedora release? If not, it appears from the many posts in the forums asking about Linux on arm tablets that there is a void to be filled.
I for one want to be free of big brother "Google" and regain not only full control over my device, but my privacy too. Richard WM Jones describes how he installed Fedora on a Trim Slice with Tegra processors. rwmj.wordpress.com/2012/02/29/trim-slice-pt-3/ Can't this be done with the Xoom using a hacked kernel being tweaked/developed by an xda member? Is a kernel already available with drivers that make the Xoom's hardware fully functional in a Fedora installation?
Can the "U boot" ROM supplied with the Slice be ported to the Xoom? We need help from knowlegeable, experienced developers here at xda to make the possibilities a reality.

May 26, 2013: The short answer is apparently no. Not even Ubuntu Touch will replace the android core. However a growing number of linux distributions can be installed using installers like 'Linux Installer' downloadable for free from GooglePlay. This includes Fedora. What is the point of having Ubuntu Touch on tablets if the rich, robust and numerous existing linux programs will not run on Ubuntu Touch?
hello people, just checking new backtrack versions out there n came to this new rebuild of it called Kali Linux. it is already out for Arm devices. Do u guys think that it can be ported to canvas 2? i think native install will be difficult. but it is possible to run the ARM version on the ROM. it becomes painfully slow as the RAM available for KALI is around 150MB or so

kali linux runs on raspberry pi natively, with only 700mhz processor arm v6 and 512 mb ram. so it will run much better on a110 IMO. the link you provided, am not getting the correct idea does it directly boot the linux or through x server and vnc ?

IIRC, the booting sequence of RPi is different from that of our device. as of now, i am sure it is difficult for native install. the link i provided is through VNC
if there is a way to boot Kali directly, that will be pretty awesome.

First, if i upgrade to 64bit rom, can i play some of the 64bit games that is not compatible with our device. Second, can you explain the process. No need in pointing the link just the files that i need to download and flash. Thank you so much.

Afaik if you have a G610X device then natively the phone supports A64 which means Arm (32-bit) with 64-bit binder. This means that the OS is 32-bit while the hardware is 64-bit capable. There now exists vendors that cater to both Arm64 and A64, Treblue and TheRealVendor respectively. If you like to go Arm64 (A-only), try Treblue vendor and flash some GSI's like Crdroid, LineageOS, or Havoc, among many others. If successful, then yes you can start up 64-bit (Arm64) apps and games, albeit it may be really laggy as the phone, while 64-bit capable hardware-wise, meets the bare minimum to even run these newer games and apps. But at least you can use them to some extent rather than not on Arm and A64...

Thanks for the answer bro. I already flashed HROM by Astrako. Last thing though, can you recommend any GSI/Pixel like rom? I was wondering if there is any semi stable gsi rom. I'm kinda craving for new ui.

Lots of GSI's to choose from like LineageOS, HavocOS, CrDroid, Corvus, Pixel Experience, FluidOS, AOSP, etc.... Just check out each to see which fits your needs. Just make sure that the version you are getting is compatible with your vendor.
Hello, how to install LineageOS on Limbo ARM emulator?
I want to do some development work that needs rooted Android system compiled with ARM instruction sets. I have used several Android emulators on Android, but they all have various problems.
I don't want to use Android x86, because it is incompatible with ARM apps and will cause great performance loss.
I do not intend to root my smartphone, because I do not want to expose my smartphone to danger.
try finding a iso for it!
or tutorial for it?
I have searched for it in the web, but there are no ISOs or tutorials for it.
there is lineage os 14.1 x86 builds. or other android versions too! but i dont think they will work on the arm version. i used to use boschs back in the day with my old tab. i havent used emulators since. you could give it a try. just search android x86 on google. i remember there used to be versions of limbo that emulated x86. anywho hope it works
Running a custom Android OS ( here: Lineage OS ) in an Android based emulator like Limbo requires you need to install an Android version with a KVM enabled Kernel.

it maybe possible since android x86 iso's are availble. including lineage os 14.1
Perhaps the LineageOS development team should make installers for Limbo ARM or other ARM emulators.

i dont know. maybe you could try gsi's? using dsu sideloader? go search it up. the sucess rate on locked bootloaders and non rooted devices is very low but its worth a try.

By the way, Limbo x86 emulator runs as slow as a PC in 1995 on my device. (I'm using MediaTek Dimensity 810 @ 2.4 GHz with 8GB RAM.)

yeah its super slow. better abandon this. and lineage os 14.1 native bridge never worked for me. meaning that some apps wont work at all e.g. some games and will crash.

V8 Box - It's free and ad-free. It provides rooted virtual machines for free. But at present, this software only supports Android 5.1. This software is only available in Chinese.
