Hello all! I am the guy who made the last post about having apps on the Gabb Phone Z2. Since I made that post, many sneaky kids and teenagers have come up with ways that we could possibly hack our way into the phone, installing apps.
Now, throughout the development and such, I was gone. I got rid of my Gabb Phone a week after that post was made. I made a video on how you could get YouTube videos on the Gabb phone, by downloading them as MP4s and simply moving them to a folder on the Gabb phone itself. However, even though I can't be exact and close, my brother just got one so I'm back here again! Helo
The original bug was that you could go to PRIVACY -> PRIVACY MANAGER -> Search icon in the top right ->Search "auto" and click on autofill in developer settings, then turn it on.
From there you could install apps by enabling USB Debugging, and installing from ADB. However this was patched in an update. Even if you had developer options and usb debugging enabled, usb debugging was removed from the phone itself. It will not work.
Thanks to Users Howl1346, and ryujin88, we've gotten a guide on how to downgrade. i can't stress this enough, if you have a phone that is on 0B16 and above, was manufactured after December 2020, and hasn't been backed up using mtkclient, don't do this. Always take a backup with mtkclient, just in case something goes wrong.
Ever since then, we've mostly been talking about how we need someone to make a custom rom, or a modified one with Gabb Wireless' apns. (They do not work on the other carrier phone's roms.) I do not know how to make a custom rom and am not sure how to learn, so I'll leave it to some other people. EDIT: this doesn't look like its going to happen for now.
I DONT WANT ANYONE SHARING EMAILS PLEASE, keep it open here, and I'll post anything that we found on our discord to here. https://discord.gg/GhAwuUrvrh

Could you change the system files to allow developer mode to be or maybe enable developer mode through the system files?

Take a look at these tools

We should be able to reverse engineer download mode and get the rom. We can then make changes to it and flash it back to the phone.

Have you tried "oem adb_enable 1"?

I am constantly trying new ways to make this work. Does anyone have any information that will make a 2021 model work? Was talking with @calvertcrew and he says my 2021 model will brick if i follow the google doc. I have also been trying to convinve gabb to send me a personal update to have devoloper options while trying to pass as a devoloper.
Help would be appriciated.

Also, what is the lockdown feature that popped up when I pushed power to restart?

Hello all! I currenlty run a gooogle doc that collboarts ideas on hacking the gabb phone from the inside. However, I now see that there is only one slotuoinm and that is from the outside. So I invite all to collobrate with me on it. Shoot me an email at [email protected]

can anyone make it so devoloper options are always on?

I'm sorry I know nothing about hacking Gabb phones and I don't know what that means. Can you tell me what that means? I am more into coding games.

It's when you use adb/fastboot. It's a command for when you put the phone in bootloader mode. The full command is "fastboot oem adb_enable 1". It allows you to tell the rom to trust the computer when the phone boots and automatically has adb enabled on boot.

Please try them by yourself before telling other people (most likely kids) to do the same. It makes the whole thing more confusing for anybody looking, and floods up the thread.

[Q] Unbrick Phone (Unfortunately, Settings has Stopped)

Is there any chance I can unbrick my LG Realm aka LS620. I rooted the phone with Kingroot and then deleted some Bloatware. Doing that I must have done
something to some vital system apps. Now my situation is as follows:
-cannot access any system settings(error message: Unfortunately, Settings has stopped)
-other apps like Contacts, Messaging, Gallery, E-mail give me the error message: Unfortunately, 'Appname' has stopped.
-phone still boots up
-since I cannot access Settings I can NOT enable "USB Debugging" or "Unknown Sources"
-since I cannot enable those, I cannot connect to a PC to use adb to sideload apks or install non Google Play Store apks like Towelroot
-I still can put the phone in "Download Mode"
-I performed a factory reset which did not fix the problem, actually it made it worse since the phone is not rooted anymore, as verified with Root Check
I tried to flash the phone using kdz and tot/dll files for the LG L70 which is a very similar phone but that gives me only errors. I cannot find the
firmware for the LS620 anywhere as apparently a lot of other people can't. I spent now more than 2 unsuccessful weeks on the internet trying to find a fix
for my problem. My thinking is that if I somehow could install Towelroot by maybe tricking the phone to thinks it is a genuine goole play store apk I could
then trie to root the phone again and re-install the Settings system apk.
At this point I am out of my wits, but I refuse to believe there is no solution. There are a lot of smart people out there and on this forum, the answer
must lurk somewhere. The simplest of course would be to find the firmware for the LS620. So, if you can help please respond and let me know. My apologies
for this rather lengthy post.
Thanks,
Joe

Yeah,
I knew this site. But before you can download anything you must register which I tried but was unsuccessful to do. Not all the Chinese text on the site is translated with Bing translator and becomes is kind of confusing. I could not find any reference to a firmware file in the link you posted. But thanks anyway for responding. --Joe

[Completed] LGK7 Tmobile FRP/ flash or root

Hello! I apologize in advance if this is the wrong thread to be asking this. I recently bought a K7 off of craigslist. When trying to factory reset it I hit the FRP and am now stuck.
Here is what I tried so far:
1. Bypass by going to settings and adding a new user. We managed to get to settings (I could not get the "dual pane" or overview to work to run the apk) yet we managed to get to settings once. Once there I could not find any "users" button to add one too.
2. Flashing the phone. Now I'm not 100% certain I know what that means. Basically overwriting everything stored in the flash memory with new data? We attempted this with the LG flash tool. I could not find the correct kdz file for this phone. We tried using one for an LGG4 (against googles advice) Yet only got an error message with that.
3. Rooting the phone: Not confident this would even bypass the FRP but figured it might help us??? Downloaded kingroot for pc. Have not tried downloading it straight on the phone although we can't get to file manager right now so... The app, even though I don't speak chinesse, I believe is telling us to turn on USB debugging. We can not seem to get back into settings again.
The info for the phone is
Model: LG-K330
IMEI: xxxxxxxx
Any help or maybe even a "Your out of league stop trying" would be wonderful!

LG Stylo 2(K540)- At this point I'm begging for help!

I'm new to the XDA Forums and even forums in general so if I speak out of place or anything like that I apologize ahead of time. So anyway, where do I start? I'll try to give you the short version. So I bought an LG Stylo 2(model: LG K540) through Cricket the day they came out. It was $170 phone. On the second day of using my new phone I got the bright idea that I'd try and root it BY MYSELF. I knew better but for some reason I had this false burst of confidence & thought I had everything under control. Well, thanks to Kingroot that burst of confidence didn't last long and there I was with a 2 day old phone BRICKED. Reason I never posted on the forums is because I've got a buddy who , in my eyes, knows everything there is to know about Android and thats who I'd normally go to when I wanted to root a phone so he's who I immediately turned to but even he couldn't figure it out. He couldn't help me unless we had the stock firmware or someone with the exact same phone and according to him we could some how use a backup of that phone to fix mine. Cricket just wanted to sell me another phone even though I was standing there with a 2 day old phone and LG just wants me to send the phone in to them, which I have no desire to do. I've searched all over the internet trying to locate the firmware because even I can fix the phone if I had that but nothing. Had hoped by now LG would have released the firmware but at this point who knows when that'll happen. I'd even pay for it at this point. Anyway, just thought I'd give the forum a shot on the off chance someone might be able to help me or point me in the right direction. Oh and if you were wondering what the phone does now, when I turn it on the LG logo appears like it should but then right as it appears you see a message in red lettering that says: BOOT VERIFICATION FAIL!!- CAUSE: MISMATCH_SIG_LEN And it just loops this over & over until you pull the battery out. Please someone help me!

Source code to rom¿?
I ran into basically the same situation as you. I'm currently downloading Android open source project on to a fresh install Ubuntu 16.04. I am currently in the middle of running sync.
I'm curious if there is anybody out there who would be willing to give a few pointers, on compiling the ROM from LG open source code. They told me I had to use it in the readme.txt.
Im a noob with fair knowledge of modding and stylo not stylo 2. There's no way to say for sure if this will work but on lg mm on h631 u need to unlock dev option in settings 1st. Make sure to check off oem unlock and usb debugging. Connect to pc and you will get a popup or 2, one will ask to allow pc to connect to phone, the second is to allow usb debugging. After you allow both, open cmd in your adb fastboot folder. Type " adb reboot bootloader." should reboot the phone to bootloader/fastboot mode. Then you type " fastboot oem unlock." you will see sending.. Once sending is done type " fastboot reboot." when the phone restart you should see bootloader unlocked on splash screen. Then i rooted with kingroot. Then use rashr to flash twrp. Then used twrp to flash supersu to get rid of kingroot.. My h631 now in business and i just started working on a port for lg ux 5.0. This is the guild i use for a better idea http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-stylo/how-to/guide-lg-g-stylo-how-to-root-t-mobile-6-t3333916. You might need lgflashtool and kdz to unbrick..
NO NEED to beg.
I don't know very much but I know $$$ talks and since no one save the few who suggested contacting lg wants to help, Ill try. At the moment I am efforting a solution via the Chinese. I expect to have a working copy in the next 48hrs. when I do, we can arrange for you to get access to the mega.nz cloud and get urs.
say a prayer......

BIN File
Hello, I have a Stylo 2 K540 from cricket, it is having issues with the Wi-Fi, it will not connect to either Wi-Fi or bluetooth, MAC address was set at 02:00:00:00:00 or something like that, I opened the phone and it has humidity sensor active, cleaned the affected area but it seems like it was useless, eventhough I was pretty sure that was not the main problem. I looked for some troubleshooting options and found non of use, firmware is sold for $30 online so it is not an option since I am not certain loading firmware will be of any help. I tried repairing MAC address via Octoplus using other addresses but was useless as well.
I have little to no experience with software on phones, but I like to read and learn. I decided to connect the phone to the computer and "Read full flash" on Octopus, I have created the Bin file, I have a perfectly working phone as well, I was wondering if there is any way to get the KDZ file from the Bin file doing some sort of conversion, or if I could do some sort of fix or workaround with this bin file, I can share it if anybody needs it or if it can be of any use to get the firmware

Accidentally locked bootloader -- System destroyed

Hey there! I'm new around here and I'm not sure if this has been asked before... I found this thread but there are a couple differences between our cases and none of the solutions given in the comments seem to work:
"The system has been destroyed" Poco X3 NFC
So here's the thing -- I've been using this phone for a few months as a replacement for an iPhone. I used to be in the custom ROM scene back in 2015-2016 with an old Huawei I had, so I more or less know how all of this works. Since MIUI is visually horrible (in my opinion) I decided to try my luck at installing PixelExperience (great ROM, btw!). Since I've recovered my previous phone, this one has been sitting in a drawer for a couple months already, so I wanted to restore it to factory settings and sell it.
Aaaaand this is where **** happened. I had this weird intrusive thought of using "fastboot oem lock" before doing anything else just to see what would happen. The result? The phone is now bricked. I can access fastbook but that's about it, trying to boot into the system or recovery just gives me a "The system had been destroyed - Press power button to shutdown".
I know you can fix this by unlocking it again, but every tool I find online is meant for Windows and there are barely any solutions for macOS. I have found two of them: XiaoMiTool V2 (but needs adb to be enabled) and XiaomiADBFastbootTools, which seems to kind of work.
It detects the device when put in fastboot mode, but when clicking on "OEM Unlock" it just says "Token Verify Failed, reboot the device" (screenshot attached).
Trying to unlock it from the Terminal does pretty much the same thing (obviously).
Before you ask - Yes, I have all the required drivers installed as this is the exact same computer that I used to unlock the bootloader and flash OFRP. Everything works normally, it's just that I don't have access to the OEM unlock tokens to do it directly from the Terminal the same way I used to do it with previous phones.
So uhh... What can I do? Is it going to stay this way forever? Are there any solutions for macOS users that don't require having to use BootCamp or VM? I don't mind doing it but I'd rather have it as the very last resort, since it's too much of a hassle to do it. I have Xubuntu installed on my secondary drive, so if there is anything that could work on Linux, I'll take it too.
Thank you all for your help!
Edit 1: By the way! If this gets solved, could anyone be kind enough to guide me through the steps on how to mark it as [SOLVED] and close the thread? I'm really really bad at forums.
To the best of my knowledge, MIUI tools check online if the device is currently associated with a MI account -- and in case it isn't, nothing else goes...
My guess would be to try to run MiFlash with its last fastboot stock ROM in a Windows VM.
In case that doesn't work, taking it to Xiaomi tech support would be the best bet...

I'm not really sure about that (haven't done it myself), but it has been the general recommendation here when faced with serious trouble so I would expect so. YMMV, though.

Samsung galaxy A31 (SM-A315G) broken screen and touch. DATA backup possible?

As the title says no input or output possible on the phone only through cable in download mode or recovery but bootloader is locked and recovery is factory so not possible to execute commands to do data backup and also developer mode is not enabled. Only thing I see maybe possible is to flash the boot.img with devepolper mode and usb debuging enabled through Odin but not sure how to make the corrections in boot.img if even possible. I think that the android version is 11.

If your bootloader is locked, you will not be able to flash a modified boot.img via Odin, it won't accept it.
If you did not have USB debugging enabled before this happened and if you don't have root or custom recovery, you will not be able to do anything to recover your data unless you find a professional shop that has the tools and ability to disassemble your device and pull your data directly from the hardware chip itself. Or you can get the screen replaced, if the screen is a verified exact match for your specific model number. Don't get a generic replacement screen that claims to be compatible, sometimes these require modifying your software to get them to work correctly, you do not want this.

Id like to learn how to do the data extraction from hardware. I already looked around a bit and if I understand correctly it should be something like a JTAG box ? Can you give me some direction where to start?

I wouldn't know where to start. If I knew, I would have explained it instead of telling you to find a shop that can do it. If the data is important to you, I wouldn't risk trying to learn because you'll more than likely danage the device or destroy your data before you figure it out.
