Hi, I have seen everywhere and it says 120Hz E4 AMOLED Display and 100% DCI-P3 coverage. But no where i can find it is 8 bit or 10 bit panel.
Can any one clarify this. How does the display quality compare to "Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G "

The Realme GT Neo display panel is 10-bit and I've shared the screenshot of the difference between GT Neo 2 and 11 Lite 5G NE.

I dont think HDR10+ means the display is 10 bit. We can have HDR10+ without 10 bit panel.
From the shared screenshot, Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE says 1 billion colors which means it is a 10 bit panel. there is no such thing shown for GT Neo 2.
Please correct me if i am wrong.
May be it is 8+2 bit panel which is technically a 10 bit panel but not a real 10 bit panel?
After reading lot of reviews i am thinking it is not a 10 bit panel.
But i still proceeded with the purchase just now because of SD870 and currently it is on offer (~330 USD / 26k INR).

I just saw it on google and replied to you but now I'm confused whether it is a 10-bit panel or not? I've compared it with Mi 11 which has a 10-bit display, I'll share the link below,

Thanks for the link.
I can confirm it is not a 10 bit panel. But still it has HDR10+ and the display quality is better than many other phones in similar price bracket but less than few like Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE.
I don't consider buying Mi 11 lite 5G Ne, if I were you ! Display quality is a luck: there are two types and I really don't liked it ! Software is a real mess, and the fingerprint reader is fast but can be faulty.

The youtube channel Geek Love has performed a comparison between 7 popular mid range smartphones:
Jiayu S3+
Doogee F5
Ulefone power,
Oukitel K6000 Pro
Leagoo Elite 1
Umi touch
Elephone P8000
These phones share some similar specifications, as they all have the MT6753 chip, 3GB of RAM, 13MP&5MP cameras. In this video, we see comparisons about:
Design–Back cover & frame materials, buttons
Display–Brightness, color temperature
Screens–Anti-fingerprint coating
Software–OS
Battery–Battery life, battery capacity
Quick charging–Input power
Hardware–Sensors, Storage
Performance–Antutu scores
You can see the whole test in the video below but meanwhile we did a small comparison chart so you can see all details faster:
Here is the full video:
why did u forget great mid-range like these:
redmi note 3
redmi 3
le eco 1s
honor 5x
oneplus x
Le eco 1s eco is a bull **** I am using the phone the ui is crappy also it is full of bloatware.no improvement even after the update provided actually its injecting more bloatware.
Will suggest not to buy this phone

I would definitely recommend Elephone. Had a chance to play wit it for some time and its a great overall phone.
Android phone is really cheaper and cheaper
The letv team is launching a new phone every month this makes me more assured that the buyers are not going to get support for these phones .the ui is buggy and crappy .camera app is worst than a 5k handset they have huge amount of bloatware already loaded that even 3 GB ram is insufficient to handle those terrorists.rather than addressing these issues they are launching new buggy handsets.my advise is to stay away from this manufacturer
Sent from my Le X509 using XDA-Developers mobile app
i would prefer elephone.
i tried elephone s1 and it really looks cool and stylish. downside is, the battery, it can only last up for a day.
Hi,
I am looking for a new phone and i have two mobile phones in my mind that i like in the midrange category but i can't decide wich one i should pick.
My main question is 'Wich one would you choose or recommend?'
- Meizu Pro 7 (MTK P25) (4GB RAM +64GB)

- Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 (SD 636) (4GB RAM +64GB)
Meizu Pro 7 (MTK P25) (4GB RAM +64GB)
What i like on this phone is the back of this phone, with the secondary screen and it have a unique look with on both side a AMOLED screen.
What i have seen on reviews is that the phone have a nice unibody and good build quility and make good photo's.
The screensize of the Meizu Pro 7l is 5.2 inch and it's little smaller then what i am used too (Oneplus One with 5.5 inch). It will fit better in my pockets.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 (SD 636) (4GB RAM +64GB)
When i saw the new upgraded version of the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus i was almost sold till Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 with the Snapdragon 636.
This phone have a screen size of 5.99 inch and it's larger then then the Oneplus One with 5.5 inch. I like the way how the screen looks with the small rounded corners of the screen and the small borders of the phone. Does a 5.99 inch with a flip case fit in your pocket?
Maybe it's just too big but overall i like the performence, photo's and support of this phone.
What would you say?
Is 5.2 inch to small?
Is 5.99 inch to big?
How's the performence between the Meizo Pro 7 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5?
How is the camera between these phones?
Big differences between MTK P25 and SD 636?
Wich company have the best support?
Hope someone can help me out to pick a new one. Just want a phone for daily use with smooth performance with multi-tasking. thanks in advance!

So I did a test between the cameras on these phone, CURRENTLY there is no night mode available, I've seen it on some youtube videos for the same phone in a different region, so I'm sure it'l be included in a future software update. But as things stand now, there's no completion during the night, the image taken with the Mate 20 Pro is clearer, sharper, it's got more detail and less noise than the image taken with the PocoPhone F1.
Anyone know when night mode update will be available in the UK?
Video stabilization is good on both phones although the Mate 20 Pro's is slightly better because it remains sharp during stabilization other than that there isn't much difference in detail, of course the color temperatures are different but everything else is pretty comparable and both phones do well at changing focus between foreground and background objects.
For the price the Pocophone is going for, the photos are great, in daylight the images are sharp and clear, there's good contrast in the images, not overly over-saturated and very true to life. High Dynamic Range is pretty good too, I was pretty surprised at how well it took pictures in very bright conditions. The Mate 20 Pro is still unsurprisingly better in every scenario, it's more flexible with its additional wide angle and zoom lens, it has better High Dynamic Range, pictures are sharper, more detailed and the colors are more true to life. It's not even a contest, but the Pocophone is still a winner if it's bang for your buck that you're looking for.
I also did a video which you can have a look at if you want, otherwise the above covers what's mentioned in the video.

Xiaomi released a nightmode in the beta updates but it's way worse than Google camera.
Poco and the pixel 3 have the same sensor on the back a imx 363, idk if the ois makes a difference tho here.
Apparently the Google night sight and the mate 20 pro are on par with each other during night shots.

Update 11.7, GSMArena just published some hot info.

You can also follow official xda-developers news about A series, which is updated as new information gets released : https://www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-mi-cc9e-android-one-international/
--–------------------------------------------------------------
There are two new Xiaomi devices launched on 2.jul
CC9 and CC9e.
I have found apperently leaked information related to Xiaomi CC9e on twitter.
What is interesting there is a build ID with following results : lauerel_sprout.
We know that "sprout" in device build names refers to Android One series
Could this be the possible Android One device A3 Lite

The contents are not as sharp as in our A2 lite. Mi CC9e has only 200+ ppi and Mi A2 lite has 400+ ppi it will be noticeable if you watch youtube videos in 1080p resolution.

I have little knowledge about what does that look like, so i gues i will know that if i decide to buy it. Does maybe AMOLED have impact on that sharpnes, i know from my expreience from Samsung S6 (AMOLED) that dark colors were better, and overall picture impresion was that it looked more lively and natural than it is on A2 Lite with IPS LCD, what do you think ? Thanks

The sharpness of the content will be based on how many pixel there is in a display whether LCD or AMOLED. AMOLED displays will have true black display and of course Samsung s6 display is better because it packs Quad HD which is 1440p. Also AMOLED displays had always been over saturated thats why it looks lively but can be tweak depends on the user's preference.
Update from GSMarena regarding A3 and A3 Lite
https://m.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_mi_mix_4_may_have_a_64mp_camera_mi_a3_spotted_at_the_fcc_with_48mp_camera-amp-37964.php
"Meanwhile, the FCC certified an Android One phone with a 48MP camera – it sounds like the Xiaomi Mi A3. This lines up with current rumors that the new A3 models will be based on the Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e (Mi A3 and A3 Lite, respectively)."

"Schematic of the back of Xiaomi's upcoming Android One phone - probably the Mi A3"
"A schematic of the back shows a the same design with a triple camera in the upper left corner. The model number of the phone is M1906F9SH, so when that name appears on TENAA we'll have more details (though we don't expect major hardware changes)"
Cool logos on back, android one icon is nice
Not Full HD display means it's DoA for me. Looking forward for the Mi A3 (regular) this time around, since it will have a 4030 mAh battery (Mi A2 had a miserable 3010 mAh battery).
What if it is possible that they produce A3 series with larger resolution than cc9e

:good:
hi,
I'm owner of OP8 Pro and yes, also my device has the famous black bar issue (dark horizontal bar from punch hole). It is noticeable only on low brightness (~10%) in a dark room and on certain backgrounds only.
Also certain colors (different shades of gray...) are rendered pretty strange at very low brightness.
Truth being told, this is not something I can notice during normal use (I anyway like to have bright screen, even in darker environments) and othewise the screen is fantastic, but it bothers me just knowing the issues are there
Anyhow, today is the last day of my 15 day-no-questions-asked return window and I'm still thinking whether to return OP8 Pro and go with Find X2 pro or not.
So inputs from Find owners how your screen behaves would be highly appreciated.
thanks!
My screen is perfect on find X2 pro especially with 1B colours
They aren't even in the same league, the configuration and tuning Oppo put in to the display is above and beyond amazing.
https://twitter.com/MishaalRahman/status/1280534128354525185?s=19
The OPPO Find X2 Pro has the best display of any smartphone I've ever used.
I have black crush issues on my Find X2 Pro. It's not major, but I see straight lines from top to bottom on gray backgrounds, and from the punchhole. Green tint when DC Dimming is off. Only with low brightness ofcourse.
im coming from s20+ to oppo x2 pro
while the screen is good i cant help feeling the s20 is punchier
i tried changing screen setting to vivid but is still too washed out
the white is very strong vs samsung that is dimmer
i think samsung also uses a antiglaring tech that makes their phones a bit darker
either way - i wasnt blown away and i find the options to calibrate the colour very basic

Suppose it's down to preference & opinions which I'm respectful of, however just to weight in, I feel Oppo restricted the colour calibrations so much because they put so much time & effort in to it themselves, for me, it's the best out right now, at a push, top 3 out.
I came from Samsung note 9 and the screen on Samsung displays is more punchier as it more vivid.
I was testing both phones with number of demo and test material and the Samsung was indeed puncher and is brighter on material by over compensation of brightness but it was also less accurate in colour production, lost shadow detail, less sharp and banding issues than the oppo.
Same results on my galaxy tab s6 tablet.
The oppo screen is calibrated screen so more true to life image display and has much better shadow detail and no banding issues.
Have a read of oneplus 8 pro vs oppo find x2 pro
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....8-pro-vs-oppo-find-x2-pro-1130012/amp/?espv=1
