The right way to show OEM Unlocking in Galaxy A11 SM-A115U - General Topics

I tried all the normal ways to show OEM unlocking in SM-A115U but nothing worked. However, the right way to show OEM is to flash SM-A115U1 Stock rom.
It's kind of risky so I'm not responsible for any damages.
Steps:
1. Download and install samsung drivers from this link
1. Download SM-A115U1 Latest stock rom from Sammobile website or any other trusted website.
2. Go to this thread and download one of the Patched Odins (for me, I used Odin3 v3.14.1_3B_PatcheD)
3. Extract the SM-A115U1 rom files and select them with Odin BL, AP, CP, and CSC.
4. Put your phone on Download mode by powering off first. Then Hold Power + Volume Up + Volume down and release power when the phone vibrates.
5. You will see warning screen, press on volume up to get into download mode
6. Plug your phone to the PC and click on start in Odin
The process will take some time then your phone will reboot and then you should see OEM Unlocking option in developer options.

Unlocking Bootload (Rooting)

I'm writting this to help people looking to unlock there bootload (root). I spend so much time trying to flash a kernel to my S6. There wasn't very proper information out there to actually tell you how to do it, if your phone is already unlock, and errors you were having while flashing the kernel.
Here are some questions you should know. (Experts or people that know please correct me as I just learned)
1. Unlocking a bootload is the exact same thing as rooting. If your rooted already then you don't need to bootload. Try rooting your phone, if you can't then you'll need to unlock the bootload as the device is locked. Which is rarely.
2. Tap build number 8 times to unlock developer options.
3. Toggle USB debugging
4. Find the AP file. Most downloads are .zip files. The can have 4 files or 5. Try finding the AP file or go to www.sammobile.com.
5. So your phone is already went through the first and second step, now you can proceed.
6. Open Odin.
7. Turn off your phone to download or turn it off completely and and click volume down + home button + power buttom. Do it step by step. Hold it until download screen appears and click continue you.
8. Plug your phone. (Sometimes errors can happen because the USB connection is not good. For that you'll have to download a USB patch from Samsung/ (your phone) so it can give better verification to the Odin with the phone.
9. Add file to AP and click start. (sometimes you can't find the file because the AP file is in a zip. folder that you downloaded. So drag it to the desktop screen so AP can find it.
Should just name it How to Root. Unlocking bootloader is a different thing.
And the AP specifically for rooting is the custom recovery. In this case twrp.tar.md5.
I don't know if the current modem/bootloader is rootable easily. Last time I remember has to downgrade to L bootloader, flash recovery, flash back M booloader.

Cant get into recovery mode with buttons

Hey, I changed my passcode and cant remember it. So I was gonna factory reset it. But the button combinations dont work... Have they disabled it?USB and Oen is not disabled ether. So I cant use odin or adb to flash a new rom or use adb to boot into recovery mode. Been searching for many houres now and I cant find anything except Dr. Fone that works but I dont know if its lfit or not. They want 50$ plus for it. So I am hoping there is a way around this.
so you can't go into download mode? i think you can go into download mode even if OEM is not disabled so you should be able to use odin
Fastboot problem
I am with pie ROM and I want to go to fastboot mode but I can't.Under developer options the
USB debuging is ON but when I try to put OEM unlocking ON I got the message that if I do that
the next time the phone starts, will reset to it's factory defaults settings and will erase all data.so I can't put ON the option OEM unlocking.
thanks

to use odin
download odin from here: https://dl2018.sammobile.com/Odin3-v3.13.3.zip
1 - turn off your phone completely
2 - press volume + and volume - at the same time (while the phone is off)
3- connect to pc (while pressing both buttons)
this should send the phone into download mode it will ask you to press volume + to confirm and only them will be recognized by odin
from there i suggest you look at a tutorial online if you don¡t know how to flash a rom

Just a bit worried about not getting into recovery mode and do a wipe/factory reset... If i cant get into recovery mode will flashing the Firmware stock 8.0 for A750FN make the phone fine again? Or do i have to have OEM off to flash it?

i assume flashing a rom should fix it, if you a pie rom you will have to flash a pie rom, if you have oreo you can install oreo or pie, to download the rom just use SamFirm

Have you ever tried the combination file rom for samsung? https://albviral.com/bypass-remove-...-galaxy-a7-2018-sm-a750f-frp-sm-a750g-ds-frp/
I have flashed it and i get into system and when i click build number nothing happens so i cant get developer mode so i can turn off oem... this is making me crazy so close ....
Now i have managed to get usb debug on. I find my device the boot recovery mode command it reboots but just continue into combination fil rom? Is recovery mode disabled on this phone can they do that?

Hi @kkrraazzyy will relocking the bootloader also remove the TWRP and the Magisk root? Thanks.

Relocking will brick phone, if using different unofficial images , only stock works, so, will need to Odin latest or same Samsung stock rom
I can confirm that re-locking the bootloader with custom firmware will brick the phone.
I bought a Samsung S10 (SM-977B) rooted phone (in China), It had Magisk manager installed, the bootloader was unlocked. I thought I should install stock ROM (so I can install google play/services). It turns out that the phone was bricked.
I have been trying to install stock rom (3 different CSC codes) with different Odin versions. Each time either it says that RQT_Close, or Repartition failed, or stuck on recovery.img (all on Odin), where as on phone, it says Blocked by OEM lock (in case of TWRP flash).
I have no idea if Knox is tripped or not. I just wanted Google services/play on my phone and it has been a very frustrating.
Any advice?
I have a weird issue with my device, recovery and its environs; that the thought that comes in mind is to relock bootloader - flash stock updated firmware via odin - then get back to the custom environment again. But am concern will it work - will i get stacked and whole lot because of the issue am facing.
The issue is - After a while after flashing custom firmware with magisk patched - I can't successfully boot into OS without the magisk combo. If i do it gets into recovery.
Until i boot with magisk key combo, i can't get into OS.
That's why i want to relock and do everything again.
Please i need some feeback. thank you
If you just want to start from scratch just flash Stock. Don't change the unlock state. I am not an expert but I think the lock and unlock again will not make things better.

Is it possible to make A125U into A125F? That would be the only way for me i believe. It worked on my A115U when i flashed A115U1 onto it but i cant seem to find it for the A12.

It is possible, and it is the only way for you to do what?. To flash A125F fimware on A125U you have to go through a really complicated method to succeeded, you would have to dismantle the phone and force boot it in to the preloader and disable MEDIATEK's and samsung's own security locks to trick the rollback prevantion (RP) and downgrade SW REV so you can flash A125F fimware. And forgot to mention, you have to go trought some litle pain with SBL aswel.
Wow, seems like a lot. i just want root and twrp. I wonder why it was so eqsy on A11. Thank you for the reply.

Except this doesnt work for every model as the A125U Model is different. Is there any way you can elaborate on how to "force boot it in to the preloader and disable MEDIATEK's and samsung's own security locks to trick the rollback prevantion (RP) and downgrade SW REV so you can flash A125F fimware." Maybe a separate guide can be made? Because i can get it in download mode but flashing AP using odin fails and i have no idea how to disable mtk secure boot which shows enabled and my sw rev says : B1 NS1 K1 S1

A guide for that, maybe some other day. It would require phone disasembely to force PRELOADER. And what error do you when flashing AP file?
Hello, long time forum lurker here but never posted anything before. I recently have been having a headache from several different AT&T phones all being restricted to the point where I can't do anything with them. I have an SM-A125U from att that doesn't have an OEM unlock option.
Through my Ubuntu computer I can run some basic adb and fastboot commands but nothing that actually helps me. Still though the fact that I can make the phone go to recovery and fastboot make me wonder if there is really nothing I can do about this. Frija also won't let me get a firmware file for my device.
Not totally sure how it works but somebody said AT&T encrypts the software so you can't access specific functions. I am just wondering is there anything I can do through adb or fastboot to fix this issue in any way, or if my only real option is to just buy a new unlocked phone or something?
I explained it here, if it still doesn't work then comment again here.

Thanks I am definitely a few steps closer now. I got the Android 10 installed, and got the OEM unlock option finally. Turning that on and powering off my phone afterward, I started it up with the Vol + - and then the power button. After pressing up it booted into a somewhat different looking download mode where it shows the warranty status and stuff. Just to make sure I'm not doing anything out of order here, what file is it looking for now to unlock the bootloader? The OEM unlock option is still there and activated right now after following the bootloader guide in this post.
so it seems like it's doing something weird I think.

I don't know if I'm just missing something but I can't figure that out so far. This phone isn't reacting to the buttons like the guides suggested. I have the phone powered off to get it to do any of this first, but power and vol + goes to the stock recovery screen. Power and vol + and vol - makes it go to a warning screen about installing a custom OS and asks if I want to continue or not. Long pressing vol+ doesn't do anything from that screen, and only opens odin mode. plugging in the phone to my computer and only holding vol+ and vol- didn't do anything at all, and also just long pressing vol+ didn't work either Is the phone supposed to be powered off already when I long press vol+, or on a different screen from the blue yes or no screen you see before odin mode?

Make sure OEM unlocking and usb debuging have applayed. Boot in to system, reset developer options and then enable them back. After that enable OEM unlocking and usb debuging and restart. After reseting and booting back in to SYSTEM power off the phone and hold VOL + and VOL - at the same time. UNLOCKING MENUE should now be shown and you will be able to get in to it by VOL + longpress.

How To Guide Rooting latest Firmware Issues Work-around (Tested by me on SM-A536B/DS)

As you know, to whoever updated to the latest firmware A536BXXU4CWB1, trying to install TWRP results in a bootloop, this happens due to some SEPolicy issues, furthermore, please wait until the TWRP mainter (Afaneh) gets his hands on the new kernel sources and patches it up to work with One UI 5.1
(I am not responsible for bricked devices after you follow this guide, this was tested by me and confirmed to work on the SM-A536B/DS Variant of the A53)
To those interested in rooting the latest firmware without twrp here is a little guide I made:
(Assuming your bootloader is unlocked)
Step 1:
Visit SamFW Website and grab the latest firmware for your device
Link for A536B
Step 2:
On your phone, go to this GitHub Page and download the latest Magisk Apk on your phone
Step 3: On the device you downloaded your firmware (ex: your phone or pc), extract the files inside and move the extracted AP file and move it on your A53
Step 3: Open up Magisk on your phone, select install, then select your AP file and patch it.
Step 4: After its done patching, rename the file to whatever you want then move it to your pc and open up odin. (Odin Download Link)
Step 5: After you've opened up odin hit the AP button and select your patched AP file you transfered from your phone, then connect your phone to the PC using a USB cable.
Step 6: Power off your phone then power it back on while holding both POWER button and VOLUME UP button, once you reached the Samsung logo let go of the POWER button.
Step 7: You're in recovery mode now, use your volume buttons to scroll down and select Reboot To Bootloader, hit power button then you will be sent to Odin Mode (Download Mode or some call it Bootloader)
Step 8: Your phone is now ready to flash the rooted firmware, make sure your USB cable is properly connected to your PC, in Odin make sure your patched AP is loaded in the AP slot, then click the START button.
!! This will take a few minutes, don't panick, once its done the phone will safely reboot to the OS and you will have root available on your phone, make sure once you've passed the Phone Setup, you go to the linked github page and download magisk apk again and install it !!
This applies to almost all Samsung phones from 2018 to 2023.
If you just flash the modified AP file to root your device without selecting CP, BL or CSC, ODIN could shrink the /data partition doesn't it?

you loose a little bit of storage, its fixable by flashing csc file in odin alongside the patched AP file
How do I get full write permissions? So that I e.g. in the file system/build.prop what can change? I have the latest rom update on it.
