Wifi connecting and disconnecting automatically - General Questions and Answers

Hi ,
I have recently installed a wifi of bsnl ftth in my home. All devices in my home are working on it except mine and another two devices. I am using redmi note 5 pro and i also have redmi note 10 in both devices wifi is connecting but it is showing notification that wifi has no internet access. So i have to change the ip settings to static and entered the ip address and dns manually and after doing that it connects to wifi but the problem is after 4 to 5 seconds wifi disconnects and connect back automatically and it happens again and again

[Q] WiFi disconnects while showing it is connected only on Android

Hi,
I have multiple devices at home using the WiFi fine (iPad, Laptops...)
But with two android devices (Nexus 5 and Galaxy S 4, both on unmodified) I have the same problem.
It connects to the network, and works just fine, but after some time, there isn't any internet connection, although it shows as if it's still connected.
By disabling and enabling Wifi I get internet connection again, but it's really annoying.
Here's my setup:
Edimax router as AP
2.4 GHz (B+G+N)
Visible ESSID
Channel number 6
Encryption: WPA 2 (AES) pre-shared key (passphrase)
No MAC Filtering
EDIT: This router is a switch with wireless, it is connected to a diffrent router that is connected to the internet.
What can I do? Should I modify any of my WiFi settings?
Thanks!
did you try to disable energy saver?

If asking you're whether I had disabled the WiFi optimization in the WiFi settings, yes I have...
I have just only remembered that this router is actually a switch with wireless. The internet is connected to the other router, which is connected to the router i'm asking about (EDIMAX) which acts as a switch.

Mobile hotspot connect, but no internet connection

Hi, I tried getting help with this on P30 Pro forum here, but no luck. I'm having problems with mobile hotspot on my Huawei P30 Pro. My notebook can see the hotspot, and can connect to it, but the phone just won't share the internet connection.
Bluetooth is turned on, and bluetooth tethering as well, and I tried both 2.4 and 5 GHz.
I tried USB tethering. Tried apps from the store. Tried addin "DUN" to APN type and always the same thing - notebook can see the hotspot, but internet is not working. Any ideas? The notebook is Asus Rog G751. Three months ago internet over hotspot was working, but since I only use hotspot when travelling, I have no idea what could have gone wrong in the mean time.

You have tried USB tethering as well as Bluetooth tethering. Have you tried the 'Portable WLAN hotspot'?
In the Settings of 'Portable WLAN hotspot', there is a 'Data limit' option. Check it and the device list, please.
Switch Airplane Mode On and Off:
This is a method that usually fixes the error and works for most of the Android Users. All the user needs to do is switch the Airplane Mode On and off. The airplane mode basically resets the Signal and Network adapter to help the connection be restarted again.
To switch the Airplane Mode On and off, all you have to do is pull the notification drawer down, and then look for an Airplane icon, tapping on it will activate it. Wait for 5 seconds, then tap on the Airplane icon again to deactivate it and wait on all the Mobile network to appear again and then turn on the data and the Hotspot of the device.
Change from Dynamic IP to Static IP:
Mobile data has a dynamic IP address, which tends to alter every time you turn it on. So sometimes setting up a static IP address will solve the connection problem. The steps are to change from Dynamic to Static IP:
Step One: Navigate to Settings in the connected device, select Wi-Fi connection and long-press the name of the Hotspot, this will bring up a Menu, this setting can also be found under Modify Network of the Wi-Fi.
Step Two: Change the IP setting from Dynamic to Static IP, and then assign an IP starting with 192.168.x.x (Replace with any number from 1 to 255). Do not change anything else from the settings, press apply and this should fix the issue.

Phone can not connect to some airport wifi but works fine in all others?

I have this phone: Xiaomi Redmi Note 4
It can not connect to some airport wifi that requires you to login/enter some info after connection. For example, it can not connect to the wifi at ORD chicago airport. But I have no trouble connecting to wifi using my laptop.
The phone had no trouble connecting to home wifi, or hotel wifi that requires further authentication after connection.
What could be the problem?

wifi connection problemp - solved

We have set up a WiFi router at our summer house and all devices bar my OnePlus 8 connects without problem to the WiFi. My phone connects to the WiFi but not the internet. Have restarted the phone and removed and added the WiFi connection but no luck. Any idea what's going on?
I had this problem with my oneplus 8, European version, where at times internet connection would drop, but wifi was still connected so the phone was in effect blocked since I use VoWiFi both voice calls and data was blocked.
The problem turned out to be between my router and the oneplus 8. I had to go into the settings of the router and disable a feature called "band steering". This setting will make the two different wifi gateways inside the router, the 2.4 ghz and the 5 ghz appear as one and the same with the same SSID name. This is supposed to simplify setting up devices with wifi but is known to cause problems sometimes.
As soon as I had separated the two and given them different names, I no longer have a problem with internet access dropping from the wifi.
I have no idea where the fault happens, I only know that I have had to disable band steering with another router I had before. I think this feature might be a bit unstable.
No idea what's happened but this morning it just worked.

Redmi 9C connected to wifi but no Internet

I just bought this phone and I'm trying to use it in my network. I use Ubiquiti products (16-port switches and a bunch of AP access points). I connected the phone via wifi to my network and it has no problem for a while until it just doesn't have Internet connection. It stays connected with its IP address intact but for some reason it cannot seem to reach the Internet. The workaround is to simply turn off the wifi module and turn it back on. It's randomly happening and the workaround is very annoying.
I have a couple of other mobile devices (iPads, iPhones, Android phones, Windows laptops, etc.) and I never experienced the issue with these. I tried connecting the Redmi 9C to all my wifi networks:
Guest wifi with captive portal
Main wifi with RADIUS authentication
IoT wifi with regular WPA2 personal authentication
I tried resetting the wifi settings of the phone. I tried reinstalling the latest MIUI fw/sw.
and the result is the same, every time. At this point, I can safely consider that there has to be something wrong with the phone. I'm not sure if it's because of the MIUI 12 update because I updated the phone to the latest firmware as soon as I got it out of the box. Is this a known issue with this phone? I have another Xiaomi phone (Mi Mix 3) on the same network without any issues.
Any ideas?
