Hi Community,
Thanks for reading my issue!
I installed Bliss OS as single boot OS on an old 2-in-1 tablet. It works fine but the X-axis is permanently inverted, so if i press left bottom on my screen, it clicks on the right bottom icon. I tried calibrating the screen with the inbuilt calibration tool but without effect. Furthermore, the screen rotation does not work but that could be a separate issue.
I would really appreciate any comments!

I am having problems with the swipe down Notification bar on my Desire HD. I would have posted it in there, but this is a general problem, as I have seen it on several android phones in other forums. However, the ones I have seen are all HTC. Whether this is a manufacturer related issue I do not know.
Put quite simply; it won't slide down in portrait. But when I switch to landscape it works perfectly fine.
One of the suggestions was to use Draw Pad and see if there were any deadspots on the touchscreen. So I go nuts, and find a bar about half an inch on the top of the screen that isn't responding, unless I flick upwards quite quickly. But it's not a deadspot, as when I'm using that part of the phone in landscape it works perfectly. I can also swipe down in landscape from the corner (top right) perfect as well. So I would say it can't be the hardware.
The last time the notification bar worked was when I was in Tweetdeck, and swiped like mad through a load of tweets to class them as 'Read'. I've since uninstalled Tweetdeck, restarted my phone (both by using Restart and by removing the battery), and returned the phone to Factory Settings, but nothing works.
I understand that I can install a ROM as a last resort, but I am pretty sure that there must be an app that can reset the touchscreen calibration or something similar, to reset the dimensions of the screen when it's in portrait, or a hidden setting that can reset it. My phone isn't rooted, so I would much rather fix the problem, rather than overwrite it to save the extra work when I wouldn't really appreciate a rooted phone with a custom ROM.
I am running Android 2.3.3 with HTC Sense 2.1. My Kernel Version is 2.6.35.10-gd2564fb | htc-kernel(at symbol)and18-2 #1. The build number is 2.50.405.2 CL87995 release-keys.
(The (at symbol) is because I am new and outside links are forbidden for new users)
My phone isn't rooted, however I am not averse to doing so if it helps solve the problem. I have minimal experience with the Terminal, however, so if it is required, I could do with instructions rather than 'do X and Y'.
Thanks, and sorry for the wall of text.
I'm in the middle of porting CWM 6.0.0.x to dell devices, and I've gotten all but one.
Background:
CWM 6.0 prefers displays of type:
24/32bpp color Edit: after fiddling around with it, this isnt actually true.
Right side up
Double buffered(?)
My last device I'm having trouble with (Dell Streak 5):
16bpp
Upside down
Single buffered(?)
I've re-added screen flipping (for point 2) and fixed the pixels for point 1, but I have no idea how to fix point 3.
My exact issue: I can get CWM 6.0 to boot with correct colors on my S5, but every other buffer(?) is blank.
So blank -> correct screen -> blank -> correct screen -> etc.
It's just a graphics issue as it still works fine while black.
CWM 5.5 preferred single buffers but had board config switches to enable RGBX_8888 and double buffering.
But the move to 6.0 broke RGB_565 and single buffering.
I have no idea where in the code to force it to single buffer, I've already fiddled around in <CWM>\minui\graphics.c and besides the color-space changes, there's nothing changed regarding single/double buffering in it.
Here's my device tree if it helps:

So here is the issue. I need to display an app on a 50 inch touchscreen display in portrait orientation. This display should emulate the app running on a handset. It is a simple app that shows news for my company. There is a tiled interface with each tile representing a news story. You can swipe through different pages of tiles.
What I need to do is get this app running on a touchscreen display in the hall way. Users can approach it and open stories and swipe through the pages of tiles.
I have the app up and running on a G Box displaying on a 46 inch regular display. Easiest solution is to get a touchscreen capable display to run input to the G Box.
Question: Can the G Box accept input from a touchscreen device? Which display would be easiest to use? I inherited this project from some rather incapable people who tried to connect a touchscreen display to find that the display is for Windows / Mac only. Suggestions for a 50" touchscreen display that would work in portrait orientation welcome.
If a touchscreen display won't work with the G Box, need suggestions for another way to do this.
Thanks, in advance.
Hi guys
this is my first post, so please excuse if I describe things incorrectly.
First of all I bought the device about 5 years ago and haven't really tried to do anything with it. These are made mainly for battlefield operations, so have 3 attractive features that I wanted.
1. Daylight viewable screen
2. Rugged construction and case.
2. High accuracy GPS
I intend to use this as a navigation aid on a sailboat. It has the advantage of the case incorporating slots so that it can be worn on your forearm using suitable (velcro) straps
So to the advice needed. I recharge it recently and turned it on. It boots to home screen OK
But as soon as I touch the screen I get an errors (typically Application Android keyboard (in process com.android.inputmethod.latin) is not responding))
If iI select Force close I get a 2nd error
The process android.process. acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
If i select Force close, sometimes it just comes back, sometimes the screen changes just to the status bar.
If I wait for the screen to go to power save and then select the power button, the home screen comes back. Then I go around the loop again.
This isn't always the sequence of events and varies, but essentially the device is unusable.
So to my question is there a way of bring this back to life? Possibly by loading a suitable ROM? ( there is no support for this from what I can find on the web)
Or maybe just use as a paper weight?
It does have an SD card slot
It also only has a power button, menu button, home button and a back/return button. No volume buttons.
Thanks in advance for your advice/input

Sorry for not fully reading the thread title (which I should have done).
Unfortunately, your phone is very old. On the spec list it does not even list what Android version it is running. (I assume that it is something like android 1.6). I don't know how to debug these old devices. I could not find any info on how to debug devices this old. The only info I came along is about an old phone with android 1.6 and it has fastboot. Can you boot your phone into fastboot? From there you may be able to reset the phone. Here is the guide for another old phone about resetting it (also look at the 1st reply, don't try the 2nd reply commands they will break your phone).

Thanks for the reply
Maybe I am missing something, was there a link in your reply to the old phone you mentioned? If you provide that I'll have a go at resetting through fastboot.
Its definitely old, I reckon Android 1.6 is about right. I'd be happy to re-flash it with that if possible.
cheers

Hi, I have a intel atom Z3735F tablet - Cube IWORK8. I've installed Bliss OS 11.13 GMS.
The thing is that the touchscreen works only when I turn on the tablet with the USB keyboard plugged into the micro-usb OTG port on the device. Once the tablet loads Bliss OS, I can unplug the keyboard and touchscreen works until I restart/turn off the tablet. When I launch it without keyboard plugged in, touchscreen doesn't work at all. Do you know why this might happen?
What I may add is that on every launch, no matter what I get below error. Yet, system loads.
Failed to initialize input device.
My BIOS Touch Pannel options:
Ntrig
MSSL
ChipOne
FocalTech
Goodix
Disabled
CPU Brand: Intel
CPU: Z3735F
Core: 1.8GHz,Quad Core

To resolve this issue I had to install kernel 5.8 https://sourceforge.net/projects/blissos-dev/files/Android-Generic/PC/gearlock_extensions/
HI! Sorry to bother you but do you happen to have a step by step on how to install Bliss OS on a android Z3735 tablet? I have a chinese (Argentina manufactured or re branded) tablet with that processor and I´m hoping to be able to install Bliss OS to upgrade to at least Android 8. Thanks!

have you been able to solve your issue?
after an installation, everything works well; auto rotation, volume and touchscreen.
but after that touchscreen does not work. auto rotate sometimes does not work.
volume buttons sometimes does not work. sometimes there's no audio.
And some persistent issues:
power button does not turn off the screen.
sometimes I need to long press power button to wake up device from sleep
I have an HP elite x2 G3 (kabylake core I5 cpu) and I also tried installing kernel 5.8 but no real effect.
