ShareMe and Mi Share - General Questions and Answers

I'm currently in the process of debloating my POCO F3 but I'd like to know if the apps ShareMe and Mi Share are basically the same. What are they for? Are they safe to be disabled?

ShareMe app is used to transfer files. Disabling it will not hurt anything.

Thanks. Yea, I've looked at that thread. But what's the real difference bettween the ShareMe (also known as Mi Drop) and Mi Share?

Poco F2/ K30 Pro - MIUI 12 - is it possible to uninstall apps with adb - yes or no ?

Some people told me, that with MIUI12 running on POCO F2 Pro (alias Redmi K30 Pro) it is not longer possible to remove apk’s with adb. Is it true or no?
so "adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.browser " doesn’t work any longer?
Can somebody confirm that?
Still works for weekly miui 12 beta 20.7.3.
Still works OK.
I'm not sure would like to know the same thing. How if possible to remove Mi Account and all Xiaomi related features all together. Just got the Poco F2 Pro a few days ago and not going to use it unless I can get rid of this stuff.
Hoping there's some support for custom ROMs. As the phone is awesome, just the software on top I'm not a fan of.

Using the Xiaomi ADB Tools, which apps have you chosen to debloated/uninstalled?

First and foremost, huge thanks for @pnin for allowing me to take his POCO X3 NFC index thread and shamelessly use it as a basis for this one!
Most of the guides made by X3 NFC users have been removed from here as despite the similarities of both devices, it seems like a sound idea to test them on this device beforehand. If you would like to contribute to this thread, guides on:
how to install Viper4Android
how to remove bloatware and ads from MIUI
how to disable dynamic refresh rate
and more can be found in pnin's thread linked above - let me know which one have you tested on the X3 Pro, and I will add them back to this topic with a disclaimer.
While this device is yet to finish its first month of existence on the market, and thus there is not a whole lot of custom software available yet, I thought it would be a good idea to start such a thread early. Should be much easier to update it later on, in contrary to trying to congregate everything when things truly start rolling fast.
DISCLAIMER: all credit goes to the posters; I own nothing and claim nothing (apart where otherwise stated); as usual, your device warranty is void merely by peeping beyond this point, so close your browser and run away if that's not what you intended...

Will you also be pinning custom ROMs to the OP as well such as LineageOS for example when they become available?

As soon as they are posted here on xda, yes.
Pre-release of ArrowOS added to OP - say hello to the first public AOSP based custom ROM for this device ^^
I won't be creating new posts every time something's added, removed or otherwise changed in the first post, so if you want to keep track of changes, keep track of the second post with a changelog.

Per source: https://www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-india-clarifies-bootloader-unlocking-does-not-void-warranty/
Unlocking of the bootloader is made available to make sure that MIUI developer ROMs can be tested by users and will be covered under warranty.
Bootloader unlocking does not inherently void your hardware warranty. But a case where the unlocking results in a brick which cannot be fixed via software, the warranty will be void.

Thank you, but for POCO it was said as below
This policy is applicable to Xiaomi phones in India under both the Mi and Redmi sub-brand. Other regions could possibly have variations to this policy. And before you ask, POCO is excluded from the scope of this article and this policy entirely as it operates as an independent unit and has its own separate policy.

The only difference is that bhima does not have NFC (and in consequence it's also a teeny bit lighter).
As far as ROMs go, builds for vayu should also in consequence work on bhima, including Xiaomi.eu.

Install busybox first... It's working fine on my device mi ui 12.4.0
I think the link to OrangeFox recovery can be also put into the [Recoveries] section, as currently TWRP still have some issues on PC connections after data wiping (not alone with this issue).
In TWRP thread, Kinsoku told a solution which uses both OrangeFox and TWRP.
So I think OrangeFox might still be needed if someone came with this issue.
