Hi everyone,
I bought a phone from a friend, turned out the phone was a Russian version but the was thing is that, it doesn't connect to my local network, sim works fine but whenever I try making a call, it says "not registered on network ". I Googled this issue and finally found a way which I hope will work. And that's flashing it with firmware made specifically for my region, but the model number differs. The phone model number is SM-A750FN while the firmware I found online for my country is SM-A750F. Can I flash it without facing any problem? Or if you any better way to solve the network issue I'd be glad to know.
Thanks in advance.

You don't necessarily need to flash the whole firmware, you could probably just extract the modem.img from the A750F firmware and then convert the modem.img to an Odin flashable .tar file and then flash the file using Odin. All you should need to change is the software that controls your radio.

Yes, IMEI changing will definitely cause an issue, the network will not recognize your device if the IMEI is different than the one that should be there. There is more than one tool or method to fix your IMEI issue, I'm not familiar with those tools or how to use them as I've never had a need to use them.
Try doing a Google search for:
"How to repair IMEI on (your specific model number)".
Thanks

I've recently restored my phone to it's stock firmware. Everything works great, but sadly the mobile networking doesn't seem to be functioning and the radio is off apparently. The Sim card is OK, it still has my phone number I me I and everything. I tried to find people who had the same problem, but they either had no results or the threads had no replies.
Is there any way I can fix this problem? My phone model is a XT1032 Retail US 210.12.61 and I,ve tried things like putting in *#*#4636#*#* to gain access to the hidden phone settings., but it didn't really do anything.
Also for anyone wondering where I went to restore to stock it was here

Hi Guys
First of all, i´m sorry my english is not very good and i have to use a Translator.
I recently bought a used SM-G930F. The previous owner had flashed before so although everywhere says SM-G930F in settings in "model information" says "SM-G930FD". Also when a SIM is inserted the "DualSIM Administrator" appears. Had Mashmallow installed and worked perfectly.
I wanted to try flashing the new NOUGAT BTU firmware stock. I did it through ODIN. The process had no errors. When the phone restarted I see that it has no signal. It recognizes that you have a SIM card inserted but "emergency calls only" appears.
The IMEI was not deleted.
Immediately I downloaded a stock firmware from my country ARGENTINA to go back to MARSHMALLOW and I installed it but the same thing is still happening. Then I tried to download another stock firmware from my country and my operator CLARO ARGENTINA, but the same thing is still happening.
I read in forums that the problem may be the modem, but I understand that is modified in the box "CP" of ODIN when flashing.
I honestly do not know what else to do. I also do not remember what firmware I had before doing the whole process.
I understand I should have backed up everything but I did not.
So I ask you please if you can help me.
Thank you very much

try flashing the specific modem and bootloader of your phone. you might want to try mashmallow modem.
You say I try flash only the modem and bootloader that come included in stock firmware from other countries? Must I only check the boxes "BL" and "CP" from ODIN? Thats correct?

I also tested Firmware flash from several countries in America and others, for example Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Germany, Portugal. I also tested with some G930FD firmware from Vietman, Singapore, but there was no case. The only thing that stands out is that with Vietnam although no signal, "allowed" the band 4G, did not allow it in all previous cases, do not know if something to see.
u have any issues with wi-fi?? it looks like a modem problwm to me..
Try flashing the stock rom back with the samsung kies program so it will flash back the original stock rom that came with the phone and see if you then have your connection back. If that works then try to flash the BTU.

Hello Guys, this forum is my last hope. I have a problem with my S7 (DBT Germany), I think after flashing an older stock rom and going back to newest, something happened that my phone doesn't detect any sim cards anymore. If I type *#06# , it only shows the SN Number, no IMEI. WIFI still works without problem, but I can not use my sim card anymore, so it's pretty useless now :crying:
The sim card works on another devices, so it's for sure a problem with my s7, I might have messed up something. What do you think is here the problem and how can I solve it? Any help is much appreciated, I really hope to fix this because my phone is only 2 weeks old.
I currently have the latest Firmware for DBT from updato, (December 14, 2017 for Android 7.0)
IMEI = unknown
SIM Card status: Not avaliable
Have you tried a stock ROM from sammobile.com? Updato and sammobile.com should have the same ROM but maybe there is a difference between the 2?
Did you confirm that the phone is running the latest modem?

I did not try sammobile because updato and sammobile were the same firmware. Sammobile does have a newer firmware from 28/01 but it says I need to join in order to download.
Is there a way I can fix a damaged/corrupted EFS ? My phone is pretty useless now without sim card detection
Sorry, I know of no way to fix imei issue if a combination of Odin and a stock ROM does not work. You may have to take it to a cell repair shop that can force flash the ROM and EFS using hardware like an octopus box: https://octopusbox.com/eng/features/models

You would need a way to recreate the contents of the folder. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to create the contents.
Maybe this will help: https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/how-to/guide-how-to-fix-check-drk-imei-issues-t3379516

Hey, I have finally found the solution and my sim card is working again :victory:
It really was just that the firmware was 1 version older.. I downloaded the latest DBT Firmware from samsung-updates (Build Date: 15/01/2018)
Put Bootloader to BL , AP to AP , CP to CP , CSC (not Home_CSC!) to CSC , flashed it and finally my IMEI etc. is back.
Thank you for taking your time trying to help me
Congratulations on your success

First, check your system settings to see if it still shows your IMEI number, if it is gone or is all 0's, you will need to restore your EFS partition or restore your IMEI number.
If you still see your IMEI number, you might need to find a firmware that has a modem.img that works in your region/country, then extract the modem.img from that firmware and flash it on your device.

It might not be a modem.img, it might be a modem.bin or some other type of file extension, the point is, you need a radio/modem file that is compatible with your region/carrier network.
You will have to search for all of the available firmware versions for your specific model number from all of the different regions/countries/carriers, then find out which of them use the same kind of network/radio bands that your region/carrier uses. When you find a firmware that uses the same network/radio bands that your carrier uses, download that firmware then extract the radio/modem file from that firmware then flash that radio/modem file on your device.
If you bought the device used, you might be having this issue because the device's IMEI was blacklisted before you purchased the device. If this is the case, you won't be able to fix the issue until you contact the original service provider to see why it was blacklisted and what they require in order to remove it from blacklist.

Hi all,
I bought this phone from my friend who was using it on ATT. It is global unlocked phone and I activate and register, change new 5gsim and no problem on Verizon Network.
It is working and fine but, it shows ATT logo when phone is boot up and still it has ATT bloatware.
Under the Software information > Service provider software version is showing below
SAOMC_SM-F711U_OYN_ATT_RR_0016
ATT/ATT/ATT
SO THIS PHONE IS legit!! even Verizon told us. They did everything with me for 3 hours. wow!
Anyway, I think it's the problem of other carrier's software is in
Do you guys know how to change provider software to Verizon? should I contact Samsung??
Please help me.
Thank you!!!!!!!!

@iHeartslutsz https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-z-flip-3/firmware/#SM-F711U1
Whenever I flash a new software through Odin after downloading it from Sammobile, the Dark Side RC theme (I think it's related somehow to the so called Star Wars special edition) for samsung, comes as one of two default themes into the system and can not be removed. Hence, even I change the theme from setting, this iron head appears everytime I restart the phone for a few seconds. So I tried different firmwares for my country but nothing changes. So someone from another forum said that my service provider software version differs than theirs. So in short, how to get rid of this silly iron head? Any help would be appreciated.
change csc, use SamKEY (paid) or SamFwFRPTool (free), then flash frimware you need with odin with CSC file (this will wipe your phone and reset to factory), not use home_csc in odin

Thank you. I downloaded totally different firmware files with different CSC code and the problem has solved.
SamFwFRPTool is a tool I use to change my CSC software channel. The way I understand it you need to change the CSC in the program before flashing the u1 software on it so you get a full unlock as opposed to a partial one.
I might be wrong here though so don't take everything I say as being true.
