Can you try the method shown in this guide?
unofficial twrp 3.5.0 Root Itel A48 L6006L - unofficial twrp
download unofficial twrp 3.6.2 root Itel A48 L6006L, user who own Itel A48 L6006L can root it by following the below Instructions

I think it will most probably work. If you succeed please let me know. If the attempt fails, you can always flash the stock firmware using SPD Flash Tool.

From the root process, I had to resign the magisk boot image with ssh key and had to flash a custom signed vbmeta.

Probably the recovery image you are using is faulty. You can compile a twrp from source.

I was following this guide to get twrp, but it says I need root explorer. I can't get that since I'm not rooted. I tried magisk but both the patched boot and recovery images makes my device bootloop. It's an infinix hot 10 x682c. I need twrp to install magisk. So what do I do? And if I can't install twrp, what other rooting methods are there that I can use?

You don’t need to root your device to install TWRP, but you will need to unlock device's bootloader, which will erase all the content on your device.

I’ve already unlocked it, that’s not the point here. Since there aren’t any official builds for my device, I need to build one myself. The problem is there are certain info that I need but can only be obtained by rooting (which I can’t do). Hope this makes sense
Hint: Add infinix hot 10 x682c to this thread's title thus mainly fellow members who own this device get addressed.

Assuming your bootloader is unlocked, once your phone is in recovery mode use the volume buttons to scroll to 'Fastboot' or 'Download Mode', then press the power button to select it. Replace 'twrp-version' with the exact file name of the . img file you downloaded. Hit Enter to install TWRP to your phone.

I managed to find a way. Lol I'm just going to have to squeeze the old brain to to get this done it looks like. Thanks for the tip. The methods provided all require a system dump of stock firmware to patch TWRP for the phones recovery partition. I may have to cross my fingers and flash the generic unofficial boot image TWRP for android 10 and hope it fits lol. There are absolutely no custom fits at the moment. Of course I accepted the security patch update which made this a bit more tricky. QP1A.190711.020. I found a thread talking about almost the same update except it was two digits more than the version I got. It's been 6 or 7 years since I stopped theming for the galaxy s3. Course I was only changing xmls and pngs for custom roms back then. None of my old team are active anymore. Team Venum and team nOObz are long history. I even lost my log in info for my old profile. Anyways. Wish me luck. I'm going to learn how to port and develope this time around.

I managed to patch the TWRP boot image using the Magisk apk and patch tools but I have no luck unlocking the boot loader..
1. find your firmware file by searching this forum for blu stock firmware repository
2. extract your boot/recovery img file using spd flash tool
3. patch img file with magisk, re-sign it with avbtools
4. patch vbmeta file with avbtools
5. re-flash both vbmeta and boot/recovery using spd research tool

Can anyone quickly tell me the easiest way to brick this device? My wife will buy me a new phone "when this one stops working"
Did anyone manage to root this device without bricking it? Firmware is not available in the Blu Repo (at least not yet). Our team would love to find a workable method for this phone. We have access to a bunch and want to be able to run Linux Deploy on them and also write app to automatically reboot the phone if the network connectivity is loss.
Hey, I was able to figure out how to deal with this bootloader stuff after many hours of work
Give this thread a look, it pretty much details every step needed to unlock the bootloader: https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-32287.html
Keep in mind that the OP of that thread is using a way older version of fastboot. For me, r26.0.1 worked best:
Windows: https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools_r26.0.1-windows.zip
Mac: https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools_r26.0.1-darwin.zip
Linux: https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools_r26.0.1-linux.zip
The above step is essential as newer versions of fastboot do NOT have the "fastboot flashing unlock_bootloader <bin>" step
again YMMV, but good luck
Me again, 6 hrs after the fact
Trial and Error enabled root on the V50 - follow these steps
1. Unlock bootloader as above
2. Create a custom signed vbmeta https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-32664.html (I used the same .pem from https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-32287.html to do this) - Make sure the VBMETA IS ANDROID 10 despite G0350WW firmware saying it's Android 9
3. Create custom boot with magisk (plenty of instructions to do this online, go with the github instructions)
4. Sign the custom magisk boot with THE SAME PUB KEY FROM STEP 2
5. Flash your new vbmeta and boot onto your phone via fastboot
6. Reboot, hope and pray it turns on
This is what worked for me, but again YMMV.

Hey bro I am using In 2B as well you getting into bootloop make me feel u have bootloader oem unlock & at the same time you were trying to apply custom recovery & you got stuck in boot loop was that the case? Because in that case you will be needing a stock recovery with scatter file & sp flash tool.
Exactly same thing happened with me yesterday when I was trying to root my Micromax Canvas Tab p681 at evening i got into bootloop & till night I fix it by flashing stock recovery & reflashing custom from after factory reset but in my case my rom was stock & boot.img was stock only recovery file was messed up & I had stock recovery handy.
Before getting stuck in bootloop I had did below silly mistake:
1) perform oem unlock
2) flash recovery right after performing oem unlock
What actually happens after performing oem unlock (in lay man's language), when you perform oem unlock a factory reset is performed from your stock recovery, before performing factory reset bootloader verify previous version of recovery before booting to recovery. When you perform oem unlock you instruction bootloader to perform factory reset but when you flash custom recovery immediately after performing oem unlock (without allowing factory reset) your bootloader verify your previous recovery when it detect previous version is different than that of current version you end up in bootloop. Solution is to flash stock recovery via sp flash tool but your scatter file should be correct. There are step I can guide you.
I had been root my Android seens Android 1.6 I have plenty of experience with bootloops .
But before suggesting you any further & try anything out of desperation answer my questions point wise in detail:
1) What were you exactly doing when you stuck in bootloop?
2) Do you have stock recovery file?
3) From which site you downloaded your resources for flashing (link)
4) Does your hardware specs match with my hardware specifications attached?
Unisoc root is easy and there is no need to unlock the bootloader.
You need to sign boot.img if you have applied the Magisk patch and custom vbmeta.img, flash with SPD Research Tool.

Do you have an unlocked bootloader?
Did I boot into fastboot "adb reboot-fastboot" or bootloader "adb reboot-bootloader" ?
You need to flash in fastbootd, not bootloader.

Realme C21Y (RMX3261,RMX3263,RMX3262) kernel source, boot.img....

Hello and welcomeNOTICE:This thread will be modified when new files are available.
Manufacturer: Rea*me
Device: Realme C21Y
Chipset: UNISOC T610
DEVICE CODENAME: RMX3263,RMX3261,RMX3262
Currently available files:
pre-built kernel(zImage) boot.img
device-tree.dtb(device tree blob)
device-tree-source.dts(device tree source)
kernel-configuration file, sepolicy, prop.default
EDIT:finaaaaally Rea*me released the kernel source for this device, I think it is time for you to compile !
https://github.com/realme-kernel-opensource/realme_C21Y-AndroidR-kernel-source/
unfortunately as you see, there is no kernel source and also a way to unlock the bootloader, the files are somehow not very important but maybe in the future they will be.
actually, you can build any custom rom for this device using the prebuilt kernel(zImage), without kernel source by using TARGET_PREBUILT_KERNEL="Path to zImage" variable, if you understood that's good, if not just search for it, then when you got the zip file you can use sp research tool to flash the built from source rom with a locked bootloader, because it is the only way to flash this phone's files with locked bootloader, these are the instructions that you'll need to do(please note that this is a theory only, i didn't test it and i am not responsible for bricked devices, at your own risk !):
Get the phone's stock rom for example from this link: https://romprovider.com/realme-rmx3263-flash-file-firmware-free/
then install the sp research tool(you need to use this one specifically, the sp flah tool works just in the factory): https://androidmtk.com/download-spd-research-tool
Link: then using this link follow the steps until you replaced the stock system.img to the GSI's system.img one.
then just flash it using the tool and you will success to flash the GSI rom.
Next the file device-tree-sorce.dts is the device tree source file.
To get the boot.img, download the boot.zip below, extract it and you'll have it, if you want to modify boot.img download AIK tool: then run the shell script on the boot.imh file(you can do it only in Linux).
well we hope we will find a way to unlock the bootloader, because it's the key for doing everything.
Have you tried realme Deep test App to unlock the bootloader.
Hey I was thinking of flashing the proton AOSP GSI on Realme C21Y. I have checked that realme c21y has Treble SUPPORT so I thought if you can give it a try if you happen to have a realme c21y available.
Here are the links of file and tutorials that I intend to follow .

The problem is that you can't unlock the bootloader. Not about installing a GSI.

Yes , I tried but the App refused to install.
I was able to boot my phone into FASTBOOT by using " ABD REBOOT BOOTLOADER"
fastboot command does work there but when I tried " fastboot flashing unlock"
The command failed .
The problem is that the device's community is dead. You can't find a griup or something like that to discuss.
Unfortuanately, i don't own that device anymore.

Yeah...I guess you're right.
It was a bad decision to buy THIS smartphone.
Unlocking the bootloader requires a key from the company.
I'll give you an advice: don't buy realme, vivo, oppo or whatever company exept samsung , xiaomi oneplus if you plan to install a custom rom...
I have a galaxy a20e and it is awesome i am using android 12.1 now (ofc custom rom)

Have you tried the new method to install GSI on realme c21y mentioned on 4pda.to website..
They told to change the boot file...
But I am not sure...whether it is safe or not ...
I mean what if the file is compromised..

I am one of those people who is the developer of the method, it is COMPLETELY SAFE, of course there are a lot of different tests, and lately we have almost completed twrp.

Thanks for the reply,
One more question, why is that every GSI that is loaded by this method has some kind of audio problem..
Without audio , this is almost a deal breaker....
Is there any method to use headphones on booted GSIs ??

Greetings, the problem with the headphones is partly related to the vendor, which is natural for A11, but for A12 and A13 it is not yet available, or rather it needs to be updated for this, which is comparable to know very well Same Kotlin.

How can a BOOT.IMG be extracted from an Android Phone if there is no Stock Firmware ROM available?

Hi! Are there any pro’s out there that can help out with some issues, we are having with 3 phones.
It would be greatly appreciated. I believe we are not the only ones.
How can a BOOT.IMG be extracted from an Android Phone if there is no Stock Firmware ROM available?
All 3 phones manufactured in 2022.
The Bootloader is unlocked for all 3. USB Debugging is turned on.
- Moxee m2160 MH-T6000 only boots to Fastboot & Recovery. I have tried to restore but it will not restore.
- Vortex V22 has a GSI Pixel Experience Plus 13 ROM installed and is unable to go back to factory ROM image.
- ANS ACK2326 is on a stock Android 12 ROM and hasn’t been modified but has a build number kirk2_v1 2.0_BTM-ST.
Is it possible to get a Generic BOOT.IMG to modify for root?
Are there other ROMS like GSI’s with a BOOT.IMG that could work to try to get root?
Are there other ways to get root without a BOOT.IMG?
Is there a way to parse the entire phone to compile a BOOT.IMG?
The manufacturers were contacted. No system firmware ROM is available online that we could find after searching. We don’t have any experience searching china websites or know where to begin. If someone knows where we could find the stock ROM's on a China website that would be a great help!
Are we SOL? Are phones that don’t publish stock firmware that secure that if you need a BOOT.img from stock firmware to get to access the entire encrypted rom, you are out of luck?
Or, would we need a Jtag hardware reader?
Thank you in advance for your time and help which is greatly appreciated!
The boot image contains the kernel for that specific device; there is no such thing as a "generic boot image", as the kernel has to have the basic drivers for that specific device's hardware.
It's possible to dump the boot image if you already have root, but I'm assuming that the whole reason you want the boot image is to patch it with Magisk to gain root.
The alternative, if TWRP is available, is to use ADB through TWRP to dump the boot partition.
If you can't use TWRP and aren't rooted, there is no way to dump the boot partition through fastboot.

Thanks you for the reply! That is correct. Our ultimate goal is to gain root on these devices. Is Magisk the only root pathway or are there other rooting options?
Can you use ADB Shell, ADB root and dd to pull the boot partitions?
There is not a TWRP available for these devices. How would you go about making a TWRP for these phones? Do you need the stock firmware?

No, but it is the most popular and arguably the best

No, because again you need root to run adbd as root. I could be wrong...

I am not a developer so I have no idea but I imagine you'd need the original kernel source, yes.
If u have mtk there are many options
1:using mtk client
2: using mtk bypass and wwr2
Then if u have snapdragon u need the gfil software and the phone firehose programmer
another risky way is to flash rooted GSI. but in case it boot loops, you are screwed without stock ROM. the user @gregeerg ended up with a semi bricked phone, luckily he was able to pull boot.img from adb, so another member @Jet! with same device could finally root his phone and provide super.img for unbrick. So this method is only working if you have two identical phones.

I actually had or was going to ask this if there is a way to access firmware from the hardware level. Somehow the post never got posted or deleted.
Anyway, with MTK Client & QFIL, how complicated is it to extract the firmware from a device? Will it work with all devices, or will I run into issues with newer devices? I will do some researching on these and see what I can find. Thank you!

Interesting. Where can I get a rooted GSI? I tried to searching but couldn't find anything. Is there a special way to search for one. I would be willing to try this. I had a boot loop on one and a unofficial unrooted PixelExp13 GSi fixed it.

Thank you! I'm assuming these are all GSI builds from LOS 16-20? Am I also correct in saying the difference in the bgN, bvN, bvS, files? b = a/b system, g = gapps installed, v = vanilla - no gapps installed. N = No Root? S = Root?
To get a GSI that is already rooted, I must install the file with S in the filename?

The Vortex V22 I got to work successfully with a GSI root. I was able to get root with the Moxee but I have yet to get a custom rom or working GSI rom. I'll post when I get a working rom with the Moxee. The ANS has been a bit of trouble because I cannot get the BL unlocked even though it has OEM unlocking turned on.

I do know it is available somewhere and most likely password protected but to my knowledge it hasn't been made publicly yet. I'm still waiting as well. I've be able to do some workarounds with the stock rom but I would really like to get access to the firmware or boot image.

I know right! I cant find hardly anything on the ACK2326 at all! I wish they would go ahead and make it public already.
