Howdy folks! I flashed a custom ROM to my device and discovered my IMEI is now 0. I tried flashing stock, and nothing has changed. I can still access the IMEI # through the barcodes in the bootloader. I have the SN Writer software and the APBP databases collection. I just don't know which one to use to move forward. Any help is much appreciated! I apologize in advance, I have searched and filtered trying to find the answer on here ,but to no avail!

Hi.
I have a Xiaomi Mi2S that doesn't connect to any cell networks.
I'm using CyanogenMod 11 nightlies, and after an update the phone lost its IMEI number. I had taken a backup of the NVRAM using EFS Professional, but when I looked for it the files where 0 bytes in length (probably a hard disk problem on my computer)
After trying a lot of stuff (installing stock MIUI, putting the phone in diag mode and installing a bunch of drivers), I managed to restore the IMEI number, but the phone still can't connect to the network.
I have tried a SIM from another company and it doesn't work. And my SIM works correctly in other phones, so I think that is not a SIM problem.
I don't know what to do... I tried flashing different ROMS, tried flashing a new baseband radio, but I can't get it to work! Is the phone lost???
Can anyone help me? I would appreciate it very much!!!!
Hi, I can't find anything relevant on XDA for your device and issue.
You can try asking for help from this thread dedicated to your device ,

There are already a lot of threads discussing that topic! Go & search them. If it doesn't help you have to get it repaired by Google/LG.

Unfortunately In my country there is no google/lg service centre.
Tampering with the imei is illegal
There is a software solution at http://android.stackexchange.com/questions/85807/nexus-5-imei-0-how-to-restore-imei
No need in repair shops

explain what you were doing and how you lost you're IMEI. Like people said it's very illegal and also it's extremely hard to remove a IMEI so unless you backed your EFS up. you're out of luck. Next to read the rules and guide's before messing around with your phone. Everyone tells you too make backups before trying their ROMs
Alright so, first of all, I don't have any backups of it. And I recently flashed a ROM and after flashing, it couldn't read my simcard and my IMEI show INVALID. I've tried all kind of method to restore the IMEI. On Maui and SN write tool, it say that META Mode fail. Any kind of solutions will be greatly appreciate.

Downgrade your phone to the lowest supported android version and then try connecting in meta mode. That worked for twice on two devices.
Don't hesitate to hit thanks if i helped or replied.
My grandson kindly bought me the phone in the title
but it has suddenly lost the ability to identify the sim
cards. I found out after a lot of research that the imei a are invalid, I have managed to root the phone and
tried reinstating the imei using mtk engineering and
tool hero nether of which have worked. I want to try
some other options but need information about, which firmware to use and the appropriate
custom ROM, as I can't find out anything about this momodel phone I am currently stuck can, anyone help
or have any suggestions ?
Can someone give me a general idea of how to restore a lost Sprint baseband? I have a working phone the same model as the broken one, with root access, DIAG and MSL. I have tried modifying and restoring the QCL, and copying the partitions of the working phone, but nothing works. I can restore the IMEI and MEID numbers, but it won't recognize the SIM card and DFS
shows much missing information. I tried copying the NV files but that doesn't work either.
The phone is an unusual model. I have seen guides to restoring specific phones but I need something more general.
Please help
so, the problem is that you have lost it.
you can use z3x without box version to recover imei { your original } and patch certificate to get baseband and sim working.
if you need video tutorial search on youtube. thanks.

Thanks, dude. But as far as I can tell, z3x without box is only for Samsung devices.
can you please tell me your phone model and processor.
because if it it MTK then fix is very easy through engineering mode.
if it is qualcomm then fix might be complicated
if its samsung or lg then fix is z3x without box.
i am also learning, so pardon me if i asked any silly things,

It's a Sonim with a Qualcomm 8909 chip. But listen, I'm not exactly a newbie. Please don't give me simplistic answers. I believe what I've been working on is generally the way to go, I just need to figure out which part to do in what order
