How to Flash Firmware on Oppo Find x2 pro - General Questions and Answers

I recently bought a oppo find x2 pro demo phone from telstra for a very cheap price, i realized that it says demo phone on the top left corner and that some functions are not available. For example i can only set a specific password like '123456' this obviosly is a great security risk, so can someone please guide me in how to flash the phone or some other way of completely removing demo mode?

@TheFlash6921 Did you already check in the device forum?

Hi,
I know this is very late however I just encountered the same issue and fixed it.
Here are the steps I used:
Reset the device for use with factory reset APK (though it sounds like you have already done this) Here is the tool I used: https://www.martview-forum.com/threads/oppo-all-model-demo-live-remove-gift-for-all-oppo-user.2519/
After phone has been setup, install a custom launcher. I used Hyperion Launcher, however any launcher should work.
Uninstall the demo app on the phone with the custom launcher. The stock oppo launcher won't allow you to do this, but a custom launcher will.
Install the factory reset APK again and factory reset the phone once more.
Setup the phone and enjoy the phone!
NOTE: between steps 3 and 4, it should be noted that I updated my X2 pro to android 12. This shouldn't make a difference however I have no way to know.
Hope this helps!

Yes and still my daily driver for almost 3 years now.
Running KangVIP Slim B212 V4
Yes, but now it isn't my daily phone... It works as small tablet for my dear wife.
Yes, daily driver since 2015 even with a 2nd cracked aftermarket screen because all aftermarket screens have an extremely thin GLASS digitizer whereas the OEM is a strong PLASTIC one.
Until this day, I have not been able to find a phone that is comparable to the X2 having a 7in screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio and battery size of at least 5000 mAh. Please post if you know of any!

The closest phone to the X2 is the Mate 20 X (it's what I'm using now) It's only 18:9 aspect ratio but has a 5,000mah battery, stereo speakers and a 7.2" AMOLED screen and the best cameras in the game. It's the best device I've ever owned.
Thanks AJ for the quick reply. The Huawei Mate 20X screen width is 0.6" smaller than that of the X2 which is tempting.
I wonder if there is anything else on the horizon...

Hi again everyone and hope you are doing well. Just reviving this thread to ask what people are using these days that is comparable to our old beloved X2. Looks like the closest device is the Huawei Mate 20 X...
@trurl3 @Rhonald @ajsmsg78
Still using it as daily driver. Found nothing as confortable on screen size, except foldable phones maybe, but so expensive. ..

Thanks for the quick reply DJiban. I was hesitantly thinking about the Huawei Mate 20 X but as I see the bootloader can't be unlocked and it can't be rooted that is a dealbreaker for me...

I've had a bunch of phones since I got the X2. I still have the X2 but due to it not getting any service here in the US and the fact that it has gotten really slow, I keep it in the drawer.
Currently I have a Galaxy S21 Ultra (16GB/512GB) and 2 Poco F3's (8GB/256GB). I'm thinking of selling the S21 Ultra and one of the Poco's and buying a Galaxy Fold 3 and using it as my daily and using the Poco F3 as my backup.
The only we we're going to be able to use a tablet phone is by buying a foldable. The one thing that angers me is that all of these cell phones are almost the same. They are all about the same size, all have the same features, crappy curved screens etc. It would be nice if a manufacturer did something different like release a new phone with a 16:9 aspect ratio or something close to that. I could imagine it would sell if it were the only one on the market but these manufacturers continue to released redundant products then wonder why they don't sell as many.

AJ, you feel the exact same way as I did when I posted the message above in 2019 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/do-you-still-have-your-x2.3890739/post-79029346) and even before that. All phones made today are sausage-shaped and narrow. In terms of display, its all about screen width - the maximum screen width that can be found today on a device with relatively normal specs is 3.1" whereas the X2 is 3.7" and this seems to make all the difference. The only exception is foldable devices which are astronomical in price and therefore a no-go. I may have just went with a Huawei Mate 20 X just for now until one day they release a device with a bigger screen-width, but it can't be rooted. The 3 things I'm looking for in a device with newer specs primarily are:
* Screen width of ~3.6" and size of ~7"
* Battery 5000mAh+ preferably Li-Po
* Cellular bands that provide me with adequate signal. Here in Canada Bands #4,7,12 are a must but preferably 2,4,5,7,12,13,17,29 (https://www.signalbooster.com/pages/what-are-4g-lte-frequencies-bands-of-telus-rogers-bell)
Everything else such as battery saving techniques can be adjusted via software.
NEWS UPDATE: A few months ago in Feb 2021, someone has apparently managed to unlock the Bootloader of many Huawei devices so there may be hope for the Huawei Mate 20 X w/ Kirin 980 to be unlocked sometime in the future:
Dozens of Huawei and Honor devices with Kirin processors can now be bootloader unlocked

He said he would list it for $450. It's in mint condition and it's bootloader unlocked. You'll also get a few cases as I still have a few that I kept. The width of the Mate 20 X is 85.40mm.

Hello, I still have my mediapad x2 since 2015 and I use it everydays. I have got just one problem. My build is KANGVIP SLIM B230 (GEM-703L) but impossible to activate WLAN button in green color in the settings. Can you help me?

Need to buy Pixel 5 to root

I need a Pixel 5 to support a hearing aid (support BT5.0 and ASHA protocol). Android 10 or better required.
Personally, I need root for Titanium, FX, and GSam Battery Monitor.
I assume it's best to buy a brand agnostic phone - source with sane price?
I tried searching here for the Pixel 5 rooting how-to but came up empty - link please.
Here's your device forum Section for information, questions, etc. Rooting would be in the Guide section threads:

Uh... maybe I'm close to brain dead, but all I see are how-to's about installing various ROM's. I'm looking for a plain vanilla, just rooting the phone, rooting how-to for Pixel 5.

OPPO Find X2 Pro screen greenish

Hi community. I am new here and apologize for anything if I break the rules. Please forgive me. Thanks.
I have updated my Oppo Find X2 Pro to firmware CPH2025_11_C.64 for days. (From software update, it is displayed 16th April 2021)
21/04/2021
It is normal and I am using it as usual. In the afternoon, the screen slightly splash screen, I thought it is caused by "low-brightness flicker-free eye comfort" and "nature tone display", and I just switch these two function off. Then everything just fine.
After hours, the screen just becomes greenish and more serious. But I left it for minutes/hours, the screen back to normal.
But after a few minutes later, the greenish come back again. These scenarios repeat for times. And now finally greenish.
I am not sure this is due to software or hardware.
Please help. Thanks a lot.
