I have an oppo find x2 pro 512gb model, I am having an issue with taking photos they keep deleting themselves. If I take 6 or 7 pictures one of those will delete if I take another and keeps deleting like that. I'm using the oppo camera app with quickpic gallery

Hi guys,
I have recently updated my VSCO app to the newest version, 17. The new version is very buggy with my phone and I can't import any new photos or export any of my current photos. I have so many photos I only have in VSCO and I really don't want to loose them. Is there a way that I can uninstall and reinstall the app, to an earlier version without loosing the data associated with the app?
Things you might need to know
VSCO 17
Nexus 5x
Android 7.1.1
NOT rooted unfortunately, otherwise I would just go get the photos in the root directory of VSCO...
Let me know if you know of a way to solve this issue!
Thank you very much!
Hello all,
I came from Huawei P20 Pro and I loved it's gallery app as it can detect face in the photo and group similar faces.
Does any one can port that app or find me a similar app as I have tons of pictures and some time I need to search photo by people detecting there face?
Thanks!

Google photos can do this but depends on the region you're living in.
There's a workaround for this if necessary , just google it.

I went on holiday recently and took a lot of photos using the GCam port. All photos taken on portrait mode have gone missing from both gallery and Google photos when I uninstalled GCam and installed the new version for Android 10.
Is there any way to recover those missing photos?
sadly, I think no. I've been in ur situation before. no chance. tried everything i could do. have u tried like a files recover app from google play store ? maybe it could work, take a chance.
Btw, can u give me the link the new GCam that u installed ? Thx
Next time, backup DCIM folder to PC....is the best way all proof.
Hi guys,
just received my p40 pro this week and was confused if i would be able to access my photos as they were all backed up to google photos on my p20 pro, searched on app gallery and found "Google Photos Website" link. It takes you direct to the website, i signed in then just added a shortcut to the home page so seems to work perfectly. It seems you can upload back to it as well but i thought i would be as well starting to move everything onto the Huawei cloud for ease going forward? Let me know what you think is best if you have done this yourselves guys.
thanks

Another question but related to google, how have you found Huawei's alternative services like the Cloud, Music ID account? Also are you still using Google maps or have you tried anything like Here We Go?
Thanks
I think people are syncing via dropbox.
i am using amazon photos.
if you dont like the website of google photos, then I guess you are stuck with HMS+GMS

Hi Chris, yeah ive been using here we go, its brilliant tbh, to me it seems more modern and up to date vs google maps. Ive also now started using the huawei cloud as atm they are doing a massive discount for the year so i cant complain.
Hello
I'm looking for a gallery app, that can recognize faces and objects, without needing to enable cloud backup like Google Photos.
I have too many photos and don't want to pay extra storage on google one.
On my previous OnePlus 5, everything was local, and that was enough, and misses me.
I tried to install every manufacturer gallery app (OnePlus, Oppo, Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei...) but none can be installed or is working (probably due to dependencies / external libraries...).
So do you know a great third-party gallery app that can do that locally ?
Thanks.
Probably not what you want but you can install the xmlpak Magisk module, it'll allow you to download and install vendor apps from other manufacturers, no guarantee of it working tho.
Interesting module, I didn't know, thanks.
But I had tried by downloading APKs directly, so it won't help...
The Huawei gallery is really good (I prefer it to Google photos) and offers facial recognition too but I cant get the APK working on my Pixel 7 pro. It has some great build it photo edit options too & a decent video editor. If anyone knows of a way to get it working i'd be really keen to know.
