I have ran into a problem, using my Pixel 6 pro this morning. When I drop off an order at the customers location. Most drop off's prompted you to take a picture. When I went to take the picture, I got a toast that read "No Camera app on device". I took a picture with the default camera, and then tried using the second option, of uploading a picture to the Dasher app. That didn't work either.
After posting on the doordash reddit. It seems to be a problem with Pixel devices, and the Dasher app.
My pixel 4XL never updated the dasher app. So I backed up the app. And I'm trying to sideload it onto my Pixel 6 Pro. But I can't find, or figure out how to Enable Unknown Sources on Android 12.
I'm having the same issue on my Pixel 6! It's frustrating

This is for Pixel 5, but its for android 12 so should be roughly the same.
Or, if the device is rooted you could try just using adb push commands to push the app directly to your system/app or data/app folder.
Or even try putting the app in your internal storage somewhere then open your file manager on your device and navigate to the folder where you stored the app and install it from there, it should give you pop up prompts to enable the proper permissions, just follow the prompts until it let's you install the apk.

I can't seem to get any thing to sideload on my Pixel 6 Pro. Can't seem to get anything to sideload even on my wifes Pixel 6 Pro. I backed up a few other apps, to make sure it wasn't something wrong with the dasher app itself. Can't sideload any apk files.
This is what I get, when I try to sideload it from Google drive.

Maybe you have some conflicting data left over from an update or leftovers from deleting the app before trying to reinstall it or just a bug. In this case, booting into recovery and choosing the option to "wipe cache partition"(DO NOT CHOOSE FACTORY RESET) could potentially help solve this issue. Or, if you already have the app installed and you are trying to reinstall the app over the existing app, you can go to system settings>apps then find and select the app on the list then on its app info screen select storage then choose the option to wipe cache for that specific app, then power off and reboot the device then try to reinstall the app.

Do you want to reboot and your rom doesn't have that shortcut?
Do you want to enter the recovery and you don't want to enter the line manually into the terminal?
Do you want to enter your bootloader to use fastboot and there is no way reboot into it?
Be afraid no more! This simple application gives you 3 shortcuts to do all these tasks without having to type it into command lines. You just need root permissions and you're good to go!!!
It only does what it's advertised, nothing else.
Can't be easier than this.

Can you make me a simple reboot app with no option to reboot in to the recovery, no shutdown, no confirm, no wait for countdown.
I just want an reboot app that can be run through another app, app run > phone reboot. No need widget or UI, just an app with icon in app drawer and when i click that icon, boom, phone reboot without asking for confirm or else.
I use LG L3 res 320x240 on 2.3.6 stock, and yes,my phone is rooted.Sorry for bad english.

Any chances I could have the .apk for it? My nexus 4 power button is gone, and I flashed cm12 but the gapps failed to install. Now I'm the ROM but no way to boot to recovery. I don't have play services nor play store so I can't install via my browser. Any help??
Edit: Got it with adb. I don't know where to delete this post.
New update:
v4p10
1 - Add Soft Reboot option to reload the UI without hard rebooting the device
2 - Add option to reboot into Safe Mode
3 - Now sending a system broadcast that the device is going to reboot so that it safely flushes any outstanding data for a clean reboot operation
4 - Decrease the priority of the background threads of each request to prevent any type of starvation
5 - Fixed one FC that could be triggered if a View was null for some weird reason

I get a "Values not applied. Unclean shutdown, values not applied" from NoFillsCPUControl when I reboot using SimpleReboot as installed from the PlayStore on my N5 under AOSP. I'm running PHH's su, if that makes a difference.
When I install the app directly to /system/app (create folder, copy APK, rename, permissions, etc.) everything works as expected with no "unclean shutdown" error.
Should this be happening?
Well, it was working. Now I'm getting the "Values not applied. Unclean shutdown, values not applied" with it put in system as well. I get a toast from su letting me know it's given permission. I can open a terminal and type "su -c 'svc power shutdown'" or "su -c 'svc power reboot'", and it (very) quickly works and returns without error.
Hi, I downloaded Titanium Backup and tried to install it but it keeps saying that there is no storage space and that I should clear some space. But i checked my storage and i still have about 27gb of free space left. I also tried installing and uninstalling other apps and it works fine its just TB that does not work. Anyone have any idea whats going on?
I have attached a couple screenshots so you can see.
Thanks in advance
Cheers,

What does the "Storage" page in Settings say?
Does it work if you install it directly from the Play app?
it says 25gb of free space and ive tried installing it directly from the playstore as well does not work but every other app works
OK, then the error message does not state the real problem.
Next idea: Install CatLog, then try installing TB again until it fails, then open CatLog and scroll up until you find the real error message. Or instead use adb logcat from a PC if you prefer that.

i got this from the logcat but don't know what it means nor on how to fix the problem
I think you may have too many apps running somehow. Try clearing your cache and davik cache. Have you tried side loading TB? You can download the previous version directly from them. Just remember to enable third party apps installs. If it works, you'll be able to upgrade to the latest version via in app or Google Play.
I don't know how to read the catlog, so no help there.
I've had this problem several times. It usually happens when you've installed it once before. What you need to do is go into /data/app and delete the Titanium Bacukup .odex file. I can't remember the full file name, but it'll have titanium backup in the name.
You should the be able to re-install fine.

I've read something similar when searching for the error message, but I don't understand where such an odex file would come from (usually, odex files exist only for system apps - the user-installed apps have dex files in /data/dalvik-cache instead).
But yes, deleting everything related to TB from /data/app, /data/data and /data/dalvik-cache is the next thing to try - the file names start with com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup (or, in dalvik-cache, with [email protected]@" prefixed). You need a root-enabled file manager for this, I use Ghost Commander.

Hello guys,
As the title said, i was once able to copy apk in /system/priv-app and got them installed after a reboot; too bad it looks like it doesn't work anymore. I tried also /system/app, but still nothing.
The Story Behind: Few ROM flashing ago, i decided to install the pixel launcher app. Downloaded and installed it, it works well out of the box, whit the exception of the swipe left gesture. Some googling revealed me that the launcher must be installed as a system app for make the swipe work, and here start my struggle: i can't remember what i did (did i cut the /data/app/com.android.nexuslauncher-1 folder and pasted it in /system/app/? Or did i download the apk again and moved it in /system/app?) but anyhow it started work flawless at the next reboot (also the swipe function!) . I have tried booth and countless other path and reboot, but there's no way to see it installed. I can of course install it whit the default android package installer.

I believe the apk must be inside a folder (like all the others)
Name that folder "nexuslauncher".
Then rename the apk file to " base.apk"
Finally, move the apk file into the nexus launcher folder, then give it the proper permissions and reboot.
Hello, thanks for the reply.
I just tried doing as you said, but still nothing. I forget to mention that if I install it manually, it get uninstalled at reboot. As attachment a couple of screenshot: the first taken when the app is installed, before the reboot, the second one taken after the reboot: the whole "installation information" tab is missing after reboot ?

Install it using the package installer, then use titanium backup to move it to the system.
Not even titanium backup worked.
This is by far the strangest thing I've ever witnessed.
For records, TB "convert to system app" feature took the Pixel launcher's app folder in /data/app, packed it as com.google.android.nexuslauncher.apk and placed it in /system/app/.
Still, it keep getting ignored on reboot.
As attachment a screenshot pre &post reboot. I do also try to remove all orphan data about PL, and deep searched the whole volume looking for PL residual, deleting anything.
I tried also flashing it with openGapps, with the same result. (Google camera, installed with the same openGapps installer, is up and working).
Now, I can totally live without PL, but I'm really curious about what's happening
A late update: in case someone at some point get through this post.
The launcher work fine (swipe right included) if I unroot the device after placing it in the app folder: still don't know why ?

place apk file in /system/app folder and install that apk file then reboot your android.
Just tried, no luck with the working apk placed in /system/app and than installed from that path. I tried also to maintain the folders structure /system/app/com.google.android.apps.nexuslauncher-1 and install from that path, still without luck: in both cases the app is gone after the reboot.
Thanks for your interest.
Ok, it's done for good.
I cleaned the /data/app folder from all the launcher installation: there were something like 5 launcher folders. Placed the APK in /system/priv-app/Nexuslauncher and installed with the "root package installer" of FX explorer instead of the standard package installer. Don't know why, and I got the filing that I already have done this a couple of thousands time, but this time it worked.
I just received the Pixel 2. Connected it to a Windows 10 box. Windows installed Microsoft drivers. I can't install Google drivers because Winblows says that the best drivers for my device are already installed. So I open an Explorer window, and there's the Pixel 2. I open that and it's a totally blank window. No, it's not the phone - ES shows directories in internal storage. (To make sure, I took a picture. It's in /DCIM/Camera.)
Enable debugging. Enable unlock. adb devices. No devices.
Okay, manually reboot to the bootloader. (The last line is Device State: locked) Fastboot sees the device.
fastboot boot twrp.img (I renamed it to make it easier). "FAILED (remote: Operation is not allowed in Lock State)"
I've owned Samsungs for so long I forgot that there were other manufacturers. What am I doing wrong? (I know it's got to be me, not the phone.)
How do I force Windows to replace the drivers (or do I really have to boot into Linux?) And how do I get the thing unlocked? Yes, I googled it. I searched here. I'm still stumped.
Maybe try this all in one tool

Then check this out:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-2/how-to/guide-unlock-flash-root-pixel-2-walleye-t3702417
flashing unlock did it. Thanks. Now to see if I can install everything (TWRP, Magisk, etc.) then a day of reinstalling all my apps and data.
Okay, TWRP and Magisk installed - thank you. Now only one thing is driving me crazy - plugging the Pixel into the PC doesn't show the Pixel. I hear the USB recognizing the phone, Device Manager sees the phone, but I can't find it as a drive, so I can copy data to it.
Oh, and when it's time to update to the next monthly, do I have to back my data up, flash stock, restore my data and reinstall Magisk? Or how does it work every month with a Pixel? (One update says it failed - I'm on the January update.)

To get your device to show up you have to pull the notification shade down and then change the device mode to mtp storage mode. As for updating to new security patchs I usually just use the factory image from Google and the flash-all script with the -w option removed in order to keep my data. Then flash my kernal and magisk.
I already had it set - I guess unlocking the bootloader resets it.

Just tried today, worked great! Windows 10 transfer to Pixel 6 Pro - 150gb in 15 minutes, much faster than MTP!
No errors or issues in Window 10, the window did read as non-responsive during the transfer but I assumed it was doing its thing and left it alone.
Only suggestion would be some sort of progress indicator, maybe that would stop the program from being "unresponsive"?
Thanks for your work, very easy to use!

Hi!
Is root adb server planned to be implemented?
I was just looking for a quick way to copy a folder from adb TWRP but when I tried to use this app there is the phone icon with a red cross (see picture) and nothing happens by clicking.
Through CLI instead I was able to copy the desired folder.

I also found the same error for Samsung Galaxy M20 and unable to access files
@Azata
I hope this message finds you. First of all, thank you for developing this program! It has been immensely helpful for me in copying files to and from my device. I find that transfers via ADB are much faster and more reliable than using MTP protocol.
One thing I would like to suggest, I think it would be much better if the file picker interface could remember location of the last folder, as it always defaults to the application folder root where ADBFileExplorer.exe is located.
Also, it would be helpful if we could select multiple folders to copy at the same time. Currently, the file picker interface only lets you choose one folder at a time, and holding Ctrl whilst left-clicking does not select multiple folders.
Would it be possible to implement root? It does not trigger the root-prompt and simply says "permission denied"..
Could someone please post a step by step tutorial on how to use this?
