Hello! I have a Samsung Galaxy running Android 11. Several of my texts were deleted and I'd like to try to retrieve them. These texts had a lot of sentimental value but stupidly, I had nothing backed up (lesson learned there!). I've read unlocking bootloader is necessary but doing so the phone will be wiped out, including the deleted texts I want to retrieve. Are there any programs/software that could retrieve the texts without unlocking and rooting? Is there a way to unlock bootloader and root without data loss? Is there any way at all for me to get these texts back?!

Hi,
My friends Samsung nexus s is stuck on the X screen. since the phone is on stock rom and no recovery installed and he doesnt want to root his phone and wants all his previous data back, what should i do to get back in orignal state without loosing data?
Well, if you unlock the booloader, then his data is gonna be lost anyways because unlocking the bootloader will factory reset the phone. The only way to get his phone working again is to unlock bootloader, and flash the firmware images, or a custom rom through recovery. Your friend is going to have to accept the change on his phone and data lost. Sorry, but I can't think of no other way to restore it WITHOUT losing data.
Hello,
If my problem was solved in the past and my question is stupid - just let me know.
I want to recover my text messages by using Dr. Fone or Myjad SMS Recovery. However, these apps need root first. I'm afraid that if I root my phone and unlock bootloader I will lose all my data and trying to recover my text messages will be pointless. Could somebody help me with this problem? Is there any method to root the phone without loosing all the data or is it possible that Myjad will restore my text messages after rooting and unlocking bootloader?

As far as I know "My Phone Explorer" doesn't need a rooted phone. You just need the client that can be downloaded from the Play Store and the program you can download from this link .
Edit: I think I may have missunterstood you. Do you already have a backup and are you trying to apply it or are you trying to make one?
I know there's a way through gmails web recovery, but I want to recover the passwords from /data/data/com.google.android.gm/database/gmail.db
Phone is not rooted or baseband unlocked.
If I baseband unlock or root it will clear everything.
I tried running backup through adb, but it doesn't get /data/data/com.google.android.gm/database/gmail.db
I couldn't find any apps that can reveal /data/data/com.google.android.gm/database/gmail.db
Any ideas?
Hi All,
I have, well now had, an unlocked Tmobile Note 5 . I was messing around with various roms without much problems until I installed the xposed framework. Long story short i could get passed the splash screen. So, i went to TWRP and installed a perfect backup I saved of Darth's rom. Upon booting i was greeted with an invalid sim message. I tried reverting to a stock backup via recovery but i had but still the same message.
Now i need to unlock again, which i can only do on a stock rom bc the tmobile unlock app recognizes I'm on a CFW.
I tried restoring the modem and EFS from a backup that was unlocked and no dice! I'm wondering which unlocking method could have possibly been used.
My question
Once I'm unlocked, which files can I save in the event I need to reinstall if lose unlocked status again?
Thanks

I accidentally deleted 200 photos from my Mate 9, as I know, to recover these photos, I need to "root" my Mate 9 (B213) first, and before that, I need to get an unlock code from Huawei.
I'v already got the unlock code.
The unlock procedure prompts that all data will be deleted with a factory reset. I am not sure if this step will permanently erase all data on the storage.
Anyone has similar experience?
Thanks a lot!
I would expect the unlock to permanently erase all data, yes (or rather, it will permanently wipe the key used for file-based encryption, which amounts to the same thing). If it doesn't, it's a major security flaw.
