Samsung Galaxy J700H keeps restarting after firmware upgrade - General Questions and Answers

Hello sir,
kindly help me with a problem. I've a Samsung Galaxy J700H. I'm using this device for a long time. I know how to flash, backup, root and etc. Recently I was using Havoc OS (Custom rom from XDA) which is Android 11. Yesterday I thought I'll install this custom rom ([ROM][NEW]Nougat 7.1.1 - SE 8.5 & Gaming [J700F/H/M, J710FN, J7108, A310F/Y/M, A510F/Y/M, A710F/Y/M]). I installed it successfully, it worked fine. But this devices navigation button doesn't work. So i had to use an app which is (Full Screen Gestures); when I was using Havoc OS I didn't need to use this app because there was built in Gesture Navigation in Android 11. But in this Nougat 7.1.1 custom rom, I had to install Full Screen Gestures. And after installing this app, it didn't let Magisk Manager to allow root permission to apps. So i thought to convert "Full Screen Gestures" to a System App. And when I converted it to System App using Lucky Patcher it asked for reboot. And then it bricked. Now the real problem.
When I flashed this device with stock Rom, Installing Android Updates doesn't complete 100%, it stops in 32% and then Erasing process starts. After that, android restarts and then it says "Unfortunately, Themes has stopped" and keeps restarting. Please help!
Ask me anything if you need to know. I'll tell you everything.

[Completed] [Q] xposed framework on galaxy blaze 4g

hello. im new at rooting stuff. ive been an jailbreak/cydia user for years and 1 month ago i switched to android because some reasons...one is because deep down, iphones suck. anyway.. i rooted my galaxy blaze with cwm, something like that..i dont know the roms name...now ive been trying for hours to install the xposed framework...i donwloaded the installer...click install...the installation begins (a rotating circle) i see the shell permision granted etc...then the phone boots up again and xposed is still not active/installed...it shows some red lines..about framework not active or installed. then the app process and xposed bridge are not active...i tried classical install and automatic recovery install...nothing works...
please tell me what can i do? or galaxy blaze 4g doesnt support xposed.
i had an app called disable service (to prevent baseband update by t mobile) ..uninstalled it thinking it might affect xposed...but still no success...
please help me.
Can you please post your Android version ? Its located in settings >about. It is important to know the Rom name that you have installed. Appreciate if you can grab that from the same About screen. Please also install this app first before attempting to install Xposed Installer.
Can you please ensure that the installer does get Root privileges ? It won't install successfully otherwise. You might also wish to read this Xposed Q&A for incompatible Roms.

[HELP] Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T111 Crashes After Rooting

Hi
After rooting my phone using Kingo Root, i installed a rom from Sammobile.com (T111XXUANH3_T111OLBANH2)
The problem is, the installation did not make my phone better. All applications started to
crash (force close) especially Facebook, Whatsapp and messaging.
The crash occured in regular basis everytime i used some functions in the apps. The warning message says: " ...... has stopped". I can not even send sms anymore since it was always crashed seconds after writing the message.
I have done all of these steps suggested in many forums but they did not work:
1. Wipe partition and cache in recovery mode
2. Delete data and cache of the apps
3. Fix permissions in apps to fix their UIDs (i used fix permission app downloaded from google play store)
My questions are:
1. What is the best installer app to install ROM from computer?
2. What is the best ROM for Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite SM-T111?
3. When installing the ROM, Does it install the new kernel as well?
I'm still new in Android rooting and i don't have much knowledge about installing a new rom properly including its Kernel. Please help me to restore my phone's functions back to normal.
Thank you in advance.

If you're installing a stock ROM use ODIN always if its a Samsung device, if it's a custom ROM use a custom recovery like CWM or TWRP.
When installing a custom ROM it will install a new kernel most of the time (Very rare when a ROM doesn't contain a kernel and it's always custom ROMS). A stock ROM will always contain a new kernel.
Finally there is no such thing as a "best" ROM, everyone has a personal preference but to get you started I would recommend trying out CM11, Paranoid Android or PAC-ROM as these have a nice stock feel whilst containing useful tweaks.
To restore your phone to stock just download the stock firmware from SAM Mobile and flash using ODIN and select the PDA file in the PDA button area and then flash

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T110 unable to start after rooting several times.

Good day everyone, especially to every great and talented android developer out there. Please be nice and give some patience in me, im a newbie. I don't intend to annoy anyone . I am here asking for help to anybody.
Device: Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite SM-T110
1. I rooted it and flashed custom recovery(TWRP) following this thread. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2674649. It works fine. Reasons? To enhance battery life and give smooth performance especially in games. I have backup everything and put in my laptop.
2. I installed app remover/uninstaller from google play to remove unwanted system applications.
3. I installed custom kernel/ROM and flashed it in recovery mode. It failed, I reboot the device, and it tells "NO OS".
I follow instructions in this link https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-3/development-7/rom-i8200-build-t110-t3139478
4. I try to restore the back-up in recovery, but it failed. So, i downloaded the stock/official firmware.
5. I flashed stock recovery, then flashed the stock/official firmware of my device. It works again (No Root this time)
6. I am really curious about custom kernel/rom, so i reapeat 1-5. (3x)
7. The second time, i wonder why it failed to install the rom, so i go to recovery->wipe->format Data
8. This time, i know my device breaks. It keeps on rebooting and sometimes it stuck at startup.
9. I unbreak/softbreak it following no. 1 but nothing change, my device didn't start. It's stuck.
I think my device is now dead.
Any comments/suggestions is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

You can't apply stock updates on devices that are rooted or have TWRP installed. It requires stock recovery and an unmodified system partition. If you're rooted, remove root, if you have TWRP, you need to flash back to stock recovery.
Or
Do a Google search for:
"Return to stock (your model number)"
Then after restoring to full stock, you can then try applying the stock update, then reinstall TWRP after the update is finished(if you still want TWRP installed).

Camera doesn't work...

Hi,
I'm quite new to operating with Android phones, anyway..
I had been running the stock MIUI 10 10.2.2.0 Stable ROM on my Redmi Note 6 Pro. I've decided to try PixelExperience ROM because it runs on Android Pie and I like design of pure Android. So I flashed twrp by MrR00t (it has to support Pie ROMs and it really worked), boot into twrp, canceled decrypting storage, wiped data partition, flashed disable dm-verity and force encryption, flashed pie firmware, rebooted to recovery again and installed latest PixelExperience.
Everything was fine (i mean camera worked) and I've decided to root the phone for changing emoji. I've changed them successfuly. And I wasn't fed enough so I was unhappy that the PIN is not 'entered' automaticaly (I mean after entering 5 or 6 numbers auto "enter" press). This feature provides GravityBox, so I've installed successfully Xposed for my device (not wrong version, I am pretty sure about that) and then wanted to install custom GravityBox for Android Pie (official is not avaiable yet). It needed two other modules installed before ('Magisk Riru Core' and 'Magisk EdXposed Beta'), I've installed them successfully, then I rebooted the phone and installed GravityBox from link given in the thread. Then activated GravityBox module in Xposed and rebooted for activating.
Unfortunately the phone soft-bricked, so I reinstalled PixelExperience and wiped Dalvik/Cache and rebooted to system. Camera stopped working (I mean camera app didn't even display any button, no settings, just black screen).
I have already tried installing stock stable MIUI ROM, beta ROM and camera doesn't work on either of them. Also tried hardware test and it stops working after trying to run camera test. No matter which camera (both front and both main doesn't work). BUT both LED flashes works.
Please, help me, I am out of ideas
btw. I know the issue seems to be physical, BUT it stopped working after flashing something.. Phone also bricked, I think there is some connection.. Thank you all for the time
EDIT: I have found out that it's caused by damaged file "persist" located in dir: /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/persist. I did replace it with persist.img file extracted from fastboot version of latest pie beta ROM MIUI in twrp terminal. That file is probably responsible for system communication with all the sensors, as I read in internet, and Xiaomi devices are blocked to manipulate with it by just flashing ROM in fastboot (this function is called arb = anti rollback).
