Anyone else having issues with the latest update? I'm constantly getting error messages that NFC isn't supported anyone, my podcast app and media player doesn't work when I connect my Bluetooth headphones. It seems like this latest update wasn't well tested.

I get that message too but contactless payments work.
I also get that message (Google Pay) in my non-rooted OP8. I think they've broken something. I haven't tried using it.

Has anyone found a cure for this? I can't use my card or add new ones.
The latest update seems to have cured everything I was worried about.

Hi guys I'm currently traveling outside the US and for some reason my google play stop working, can't update or install any app, gplay says downloading but nothing happens. I have a pretty decent roaming internet connection and I'm able to search apps and access all my other google apps but is just gplay stuck with the downloading message.
I tried restarting the phone and switching to wifi but still issue persist anyone experienced the same behavior or with any ideas of why is this happening?
Its normal, because its problem of all phones running android 7.0 i dunno if they fix it with google monthly security patch but as i said its known problem.
Is it? Didn't know that but I'd say it is a weird bug to find at this stage
Which country are you currently traveling in? As we know, Google Play Store is not available in several countries.

I'm trying to enable fingerprint sign on in the Wells Fargo app on my rooted, magisk pixel 2 on the latest march update. I've tried a couple times to enable it and it tells me that fingerprint sign on is currently unavailable. Anybody else experiencing the same issue?

Working for me, but I'm stock.
I'm rooted with TWRP flashed. Other apps (like Walmart) that require fingerprint find it, but my banking app (PNC) doesn't, and doesn't work at all (restarts during a check deposit), so there's something causing a problem somewhere.

Are you using Magisk? I use the PNC app and have it selected with magisk hide and fingerprint works.
1.Try depositing a check.
2. What version of the app are you running?
So just an update I was after a day able to add fingerprint sign on. I just got this account so that may be why. I dont have paper checks to deposit that often but if i ever get one i will report back.

I'm running 4.3.1. It crashes now when the camera would open to capture a check image, but it used to work before. I hadn't used it in a while so must be something broken in an update... All the other functions except for check deposit are working.
Same version - and that's the only reason I use the app. Since I'm on the desktop all day, I do everything else on the desktop. Tech support promised that they'd have a fix out by end of March, beginning of April at the latest. Nothing yet. Oh - when it crashes, it comes up with the name and password screen when you rerun it, and won't accept the fingerprint.
A company I used to work for had a sign hanging in their cafeteria that said that it costs $1,000 to get a customer, but you can lose one with a single wrong word. I think I'm about to become one of PNC's "lost customers". The local Walmart, where I am at least once a week, has a bank branch inside (and the store is pretty much around the corner). The next time I'm there, I'm talking to them. Even if they don't have an app, I'm there all the time anyway. And PNC is 4 miles across town. It will be interesting to see if the app eventually works, but this isn't how you run a software department. (I know - I spent 45 years developing software, most of them either as lead or as head of the department. An "I can't use the program because it doesn't work" would immediately put that bug at the top of my) list - and get someone assigned to fix it.)
I've been using the beta for quite a while now, and I've been mostly happy.
However, I recently had to switch SIM and I now find that the Google Home app won't update its feed, complaining about a problem signing into my account. All other Google apps I have seem to work fine but nevertheless I tried signing out, deleting the Google account and adding it again...to no avail.
Also, I'm in a location with no access to any Google servers, so I use a VPN. This didn't used to present any problems, but the beta updates no longer seem to download, and nor does the release of P.
Anyone any ideas how to fix this?

Factory reset should solve the issue.
Does the problem imply some kind of bug in android?
Not really, just seems to happen when you switch sims to a different carrier without wiping

I've not had it happen before (prior to P) - I do it very often (since I develop s/w for phones) - and it is far from expected from an end-user point of view. Actually, doing a factory reset is surely the ultimate indicator of some fault somewhere.
Hello all
I have the (e)xperience, that I always need to restard the phone, before the Netflix app starts without failure. Anyone else this behavior?

No problem with Netflix on my phone.
Delete data and cache and try again.
I'm facing the same issue. Haven't found what's causing it or any workaround to avoid restarting the phone. Deleting data & cache haven't helped. Even reinstalled the app.
I have the same issue not only with Netflix but also with Disney Plus. I think something is messed up with how the phone manages DRM.
I have the exact same issue, and it concerns Netflix, Disney+ and HBO.
same problem here also with p.v and d+, only restart fix the problem temporarily, i noticed also that the cromecast works , so its a minor problem for me because rarely i watch netflix on phone, i hope sony fix this with the next update, its absurde that the app come preinstalled in the phone and works bad ?
Just found the same issue on the first week I was using this phone on early October. I told with the Sony CS and reported this bug to them but they didn't think it's a bug as they told me not so many users reported to them. They won't try to fix this problem....
I had this with the old firmware, with the security patches of August. With the latest firmware, patches of November, I don't have it.
Same annoying problem here with Netflix and Prime Video, even after the firmware update including December patch.
Same problem here. I wasn't even aware of it until reading this thread as I always use a Chromecast.
Same problem here. First time Netflix after restart no problems. After having used the phone for a while and going back to Netflix, videos refuse to start. Red circle keeps spinning, eventually resulting in Netflix error 5.7.
Only a phone restart will fix this. Very annoying.
Any solutions?
I'm having this issue with Netflix as well. Just got the phone, it's on the latest software version. I haven't tried Prime video yet. Not a huge deal, since I only watch videos on my phone when I travel, and well...yeah, that won't be happening for a while. Agree it needs to be fixed.
Dear all - so I am not alone with this problem. (I didn't receive any updates on that threat). Especially, as it is a preinstalled app, Sony should get this work. How can we contact them?

It really is pretty poor having a pre instilled app not working properly.
It looks like I no longer have the issue with Prime, only with Netflix. So it could be an issue with the app itself. Has anyone tried to contact Netlfix support?
For me this is solved since my Xperia 5ii was updated to Android 11.
For me, too, with the update, it is gone!
I cant get NFC to work properly. My phone is able to read cards and tags in NFC mode but it doesnt emit anything. E.g. google pay is not working.
I have ArrowOS 11 with latest MIUI firmware.
I tried with my wifes NFC phone and my Poco can register signal from her phone but not the other way around.
Im thinking firmware issues or something with ArrowOS?
Any ideas?
I've got a similar issue, I can't get NFC payments to work. Also using Arrow OS 11 (latest release) with the newest miui firmware. Tried to root my phone with Magisk 24 to see if this works but until now without any success. Any help would be great.
I was able to get mine to work yesterday using an apple 12 as reciever.
The signal is insanely weak, i literally had to use a precise angle at a certain spot on the iphone to get a registration.
There is no way to get a card terminal to register anything this NFC emits. Seems it has to be closer than a few millimeters apart to get any registration.
Which is strange because i can scan tags/cards that are a few cm away without issue..
Im thinking this is a hardware issue

Install Magisk 23, hide the Magisk app (it will get a different icon and a different package name), hide Magisk from Google Play, Google Pay and your banking apps, install GPay SQLite Fix v2.6 from here:
