Hello,
My device is Oppo F5 Youth (CPH1725),
The screen is broken and it's dead black but the phone is working.
I need to extract my data from it and can't connect it to USB because when I do it usually pops up the USB mode selection screen which is by default on charging mode and I don't have USB debugging active.
Any ideas about extracting the data?
You should make sure that your Android phone is equipped with OTG feature. Then you can utilize an OTG USB cable and a mouse to extract files from your device wirelessly.

If you haven't enabled OTG support in phone's Android Settings -> Advanced you have no chance to extract data of interest, IMO.

Hello Gents,
I purchased a USB OTG for my 7+ last week, all was working. the USB drives works, mouse works.
But this morning, when I tried to use the same mouse/usb drives. The tab does not seem to recognized the USB, I can see the LED on the USB blinks for a few moment and then turn off. Like it's getting power but then stop.
I tried the following.
1. reboot the tab. power on , power off. No go.
2. reboot from factory default ( yes it drives me nuts, but I did it anyway) Power Volume Up. Factory reset, data wipe. No go.
3. tried a new OTG USB cable, still does not work.
I had the Tab root before, but after the system reset, it gone back to stock firmware. The only thing I can think of is I did the latest Samsung Patch after my initial test.
When I look at the "dmesg"
s5p-ehci: detected XactErr len 0/8 retry
tspdrv: ImmVibeSPI_ForceOut_AmpEnable (1)
ImmVibeSPI_ForceOut_AMpDisable...
Does anyone have solution for this problem?
Thank
P.S. these are not the OEM Samsung USB cable. But they were working before.
Also, when I plug in an portable external HDD, it does say, High power device not supported.
hi,,,
try to connect all tools to usb otg hub first before you conect it to GTab. i mean if you want to connect a flash disk or a mouse, connect them to the usb otg hub first before connect it to GTab.
for hdd, you have to connect a power supply to usb otg to make it readable on GTab. i use my old nokia charger to power the usb otg hub device.
hope it help and sorry for my bad english.
dan
edit : i use this device as usb otg hub

I have the same error.
I have the same error but when I reboot my Tab, it's ok, before reboot I do not disconnect USB from my tab!You can try!
Hi,
So the screen and touch on my OP6 are broken, and i want to get the data from the phone, but since i haven't got USB debugging turned on and i didn't authorize ADB, i can't do anything with it. I want to connect it to my PC and mirror the screen, and for that i need USB debugging or ADB.
So is there a way to enable USB debugging or to authorize ADB without touching the screen?
I've bought an OTG cable, but the phone won't recognize my mouse or keyboard.
Thanks!
I think there's no way to enable USB debug without go to developer options, only thing to do is to change the display, even temporally to get your data back... Do you have google backup disabled?
You can probably try connecting a USB mouse.
So, I have a Google Pixel 3a with a completely broken screen (black), and I would like to get my files off of the phone using usb debugging and adb, possibly even vysor. My problem is that while i already had usb debugging on, I can't allow it because of the confirmation. I thought of using a otg adapter and a keyboard, but my phone has to be plugged into my pc for usb debugging, so that's not going to work. Any ideas?
I have a poco x2 with screen completely broken and without any display. I just want to use scrcpy to backup the data on this phone, hence I need to tunr on usb debugging blindly via keyboard

I am trying to use this only but scrcpy requires to enable usb debugging which is currently disabled. I am looking to for ways to enable it blindly via keyboard navigation.

Try connecting hdmi to ur phone to an external monitor, idk whether it will share screen directly or there's any setting. But u can give a try
It goes like this. I have tried 3 type-c cables and they are all fine when I connect it to my wife's phone to my pc. And when I try these cables, connecting my phone to my pc, the menu or the default usb menu on my phone does not show up. The options where we need to select one, like, the file transfer, usb tethering, transfer photo, midi. It even won't detect any kind of external usb or OTG drive. My usb debugging mode in the developers option is also ON. I am wondering, if my phone needs to replace the charging board or an update or re-firmware can do the fix. Thus, I have done a hard reset and factory reset, but, still nothing happens.
Can anyone know what the issue could be? For the one's who had experienced this? Tia

Thanks for the reply. But, sorry my Xiaomi Mi 10T does not have that OTG on & off switch.. It would just automatically connect if a usb is inserted. My usb debugging is also on, but, it cannot detect the inserted usb drive.
