Xiaomi have officially stated that they will stop all development work on MIUI based on Android 4.4 next week and will switch over to building MIUI based on Android 6. The first phone that will receive the update are the Xiaomi Mi3, Xiaomi Mi4 and Xiaomi Mi Note flagship devices. Why are there no Xiaomi Mi 4C?

Maybe because they have to Start with some devices and i think its very fair, that they have chosen devices which havent received Android 5.0 till now. And i dont understand why everybody with a different device starts to cry now. Xiaomi said that these are the first devices, what means that there are others to follow them.

Yeah come to think of it, the phones that will get Marshmallow first are those who are currently stuck with kitkat. Maybe Xiaomi decided to focus the development for those devices as they didn't receive any major android update since they were released.

Guide to Update Xiaomi Mi4 / Mi 4C to android 6.0 Marshmallow .
1, First of all Download the android marshmallow 6.0 ROM Upgrade for Xiaomi mi4 / Mi4C .
2, After Downloading The rom Place it in The root of your SD Card .
3, Now to install the Custom rom on Your Xiaomi Mi4 / Mi4C you should be on Cwm recovery .
4, If you have already installed the CWM recovery on your device then lets start the Flashing Procedure .
5, Boot Mi4 into Cwm recovery .
6, Now select Wipe data / factory reset .
7, Wipe Dalvik Cache .
8, Now go back to main menu and choose .
9, Apple Update from Sd card .
10, And Choose the rom you downloaded Earlier and Placed in your sd card .

Pre-Requirements (Reading It Before hand):
Please backup the original system data (contacts, SMS, application data, etc.).

Phone Battery Charged Above 70% At Least.
Copy Rom.zip and Kitkat based GApps zips to your internal SDCard
Instructions (How To Flash/Install):
Boot into Recovery.
Clear Data.

But you are providing informations that are not true, e.g. How to update Mi4c to Android Marshmallow. There is no Marshmallow Rom at the Moment for Mi4c, so you dont need to provide a guide for something that doesnt exist

[Lenovo P8 - TB-8703F] Help sourcing a version of TWRP found on Lenovo Chinese Forum

Hello folks,
I would be very grateful if someone with access to the Chinese Lenovo forum could download and rehost TWRP-3.1.1-0820-LENOVO_P8(8703F)-CN-wzsx150-QPST.7z for me. I tried to register an account but it requires a Chinese phone number.

They are a know Warez site as well as charging for access to kernel source code which is illegal and then all the malware that is found in the apks from the site. It has been banned on xda for years.

yes is the big problem with tb-8703f bootloader ! does not unlock !
normally from fastboot : fastboot oem unlock-go (oem unlock does not work here) & device reboots & wipe data, all looks normally but after restart & from fastboot : fastboot oem device-info , write: bootloader unlock = false !
I tried & with SRS Root , writes device rooted but is a mistake ...
Perhaps in the future with some kingroot version or some official twrp ?

All Xiaomi users suffer from a single problem, Firmware update. As there are many devices with no one to provide the newest firmware update every single release. And also developers who provide updates to devices may forget or be busy sometimes, so releases are provided later. Here is my simple solution:

A set of various script that automatically generates Xiaomi firmware flashable zip files every MIUI new update!
My scripts download MIUI official ROMs, both Developer and Stable, Global and China, extracts the firmware-update folder, generates firmware flashable zip with auto-written "updater-script", and uploads them automatically to many servers.
The scripts are completely automated, running on a Linux server every six hours.
Note:
Name's will be in the following manner:
fw_davinci_miui_DAVINCI_*.zip is Xiaomi Redmi K20 (davinci) China firmware.

What is Firmware? Is it a full ROM or OTA package?
Firmware is not a ROM nor OTA Package, it's a set of low-level drivers which helps the operating system do whatever it wants to do. It includes various things like Modem, Bluetooth, Bootloader, DSP and etc.
Why should I update the Firmware?
Firmware is provided from Xiaomi directly, and there are no sources for it to let developers build and edit it on their own like custom ROMs, so if you want to keep your device up to date always update your firmware!
Do I need updating the Firmware If I'm MIUI official or MIUI custom ROM user?
No, MIUI ROMs contain the firmware-update package which I extract and provide here.
What are the supported devices?
All Snapdragon and MTK devices including China-only devices.

How to update firmware?
1- Download the package you want to flash. IT MUST BE NAMED WITH THE SAME CODENAME OF YOUR DEVICE.
2- Flash it using TWRP or any custom recovery. There's no need to wipe/format anything before or after the installation.
How to check the updated firmware?
Usually, the modem gets updated with newer firmware, you can check it in Settings > About > Baseband.

This is a bit confusing. I might be misreading this but according to this, who needs to install these firmware updates if they're already provided by official MIUI official and custom ROM's?

Ok I bricked my phone now by trying to update
I check the link in the xda forum to download the latest fw and flashed it. now the phone doesn't boot and in fastboot it doesn't recognize the phone anymore
Is this a hardbrick?

If I leave the phone on for a few minutes it recognized in adb but it says something like in recovery. If I try to flash then it says corrupted disk image

i managed to get fastboot to work now.
But flashing recovery doesn't do anything.
Is there anyway to get the phone running again?

The only differences are that the EEA version contains some certificates that the European Union requires, and the version number.
Something similar happens with the versions for Russia and India.
There may be some other small changes. For example, the Chinese version does not contain Widevine L1 support for Netflix, but there's no any "special" feature you find in one of them and not the others.
I've used EEA and Global. They are basically the same.
It's nonesense I know, they should make 1 single ROM for all the world.

This happened to me as well. Recovered by flashing the fastboot rom using the flash tool. You can try saving your files by not flashing user data and installing twrp immediately after flashing. Boot twrp and copy your files.

hey guys, i have bought a CN version of realme x50 pro 5g RMX 2071, any way to flash it from china rom to global rom? and any tutorial to install playstore or google in china rom of realme set?

[ How to install ROM via SP Tool ]
If you don't have SP Tool you can download here +Thanks @reticuli
1. Open SP Tool by click " flash_tool.exe "
2. Go to Download tab and following select file inside same folder as below:
(or Understanding this method via How to use SP Tool for Mediatek device first)
Download-Agent: select " MTK_AllInOne_DA_onyx_signed.bin " File are in SP Tool folder
Scatter-loading File: select " MT6893_Android_scatter.txt " File are in ROM/Firmware folder
Authentication File: select " auth_sv5.auth " File are in SP Tool folder
3. Then Click green arrow " Download "
4. (Important) Make sure that your tablet was Turn off
or You can turn off tablet and force turn off by press "Power + Volumn down" untill screen is turn off
5. Do not press any button key on tablet and then Connect the USB connect to PC
6. The software will be run and Loading DA 100% then you should wait until popup showing Complete
You can unplug USB and turn on the tablet.
[ If above do not work please try below ]
- Make sure tablet is turn off successful for item 4
- Try to change port of USB on PC
- Replace from USB-C/USB-C to USB-A/USB-C
- Re-install MTK VCOM driver
- Change PC to install

I got Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022 from store on aliexpre** cn.
I can't buy global version(P11 Pro Gen 2) since no any store ship to my country.
as checked on store seller their are mention on description was installed Global ROM by manual (from Original is CN ROM ZUI14)
It's can support multi-language also English and Chinese.
But whem i got the tablet it seem like can't update software by System Update menu on device.
(Previously i used P11 Pro 2020 (Xiaoxin Pad 2020) my device is CN but i've flash stock ROM and it can update as normally.
So i want to install them as Stock ROM as P11 Pro Gen 2. (There are same as Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022)

I saw this firmware , but i can't know if this is official by company firmware and who uploaded it

my opinion is , do not do anything on your device unless you are absolutely sure of the origin of the files ...

Thanks! Agree with you, for lenovo software support are not good when compare with others android brand.
(However, the official CN rom ZUI14 sound good but i'm not stay in CN so some function was blocked)
I decide to select lenovo tablet because some hardware are better with cheapest money.
Hopefully in few month stock ROM from official are available for download.

My understanding is that the official global ROM can be installed on the MTK Chinese tablet.
I found this model (https://aliexpress.com/item/1005004733001677.html) being sold and on the description, it mentions the box will be opened to install the global ROM, and when I asked the seller via private message, he replied it is the official global ROM that comes on the European version.
BUT, it might be the seller providing inaccurate information of course, as we all know how they are on Ali...

I've asked the seller. They're said the tablet will not support update software.
My Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022 Mediatek Kompanio 1300T tablet stuck on this screen.
Normally it's will be check and show details on the bottom if this device is the lastest version. But it's no any response.
So i'm not sure why? because I also have Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2020 Chinese device and I've installed stock global rom by myself.
It's can be update software on System Update as normal many times no any issues.

Ok, then they are not using the official ROM yet - IF the official ROM isn't blocked and can't be installed on the Chinese tablet, that is also pending to see.
Try to follow this topic, seems they are also working / trying the same as you and have some links / tools being shared there while they try to find the official global ROM.

Read carefully how to download stock rom and install it via SPFlash Tool ..
The SPFT is already visible on the screen you are showing above

But for now i've got new issues.
When i press "Download" then "Plug the USB into PC" so it's show The error 0xC0060003 and stuck on this..
