Did you do USPL?? I doubt it. If then re-download.
BTW: there is no Radio included in this *.nbh!

retried with the USPL and the roms is working fine.

PS: on my previous comment on the connection manager, sorry yes it is there my mistake, although there is no option to turn off the GPRS (Edge) connection! (there is only WIFI, Bluetooth and Phone).
Also do you think you can solve this other small issue? "when I receive a sms and i am still in the inbox, in the home screen the vox indicates me like I still have to read the sms (new sms) while I have already read it because i was in the inbox chatting when I received it! can you correct this? thanks"

Again go to connection Manager & press right SoftKey. Read 1st option carefully & let me know what it says

Got installed last night. I think, in the first instance, the performance of this ROM is really better than any of the previous ROMs, especially in terms of RAM consumption. Yet to explore more abt the same. Will give more feedback after that...

- could you remove the sound when you make a call or use the trick of Dr. Martin Gonzo? I think the previous release hadnt this owful sound when you call someone, thanks!

I don't have the black bar problem this time! I wonder how you people get it. In fact, I had straightaway switched to another background, without sliding panel. May be thats why I didn't realize.

I am using the "slide media" theme + SmartToolkit RC09 and I have the black bar problem!

Hey, I changed my homescreen back to Sliding Panel. I too have whatever you have mentioned on my homescreen, but I am not getting the black bar.
Anyway, there is a work around, if you are still facing the problem, which is as follows:
You will have to edit the following two files in windows folder:
CHome_240x320.cpr
CHome_320x240.cpr
Copy the same to your pc and open with notepad. The files are ReadOnly. So just remove the ReadOnly attributes for these files.
For CHome_240x320.cpr file,
Change the "Height" property for Image element to 313 (in Line no. 2)
Similary, for CHome_320x240.cpr file,
Change the "Height" property for Image element to 233 (in Line no. 2)
Save the files and copy back to the windows folder using Resco or Total Commander. And Soft-reset. You are done.

Clipboard + Notes is a simple clipboard manager which watches your clipboard for any changes and saves its contents for later use. Contents can be starred and labelled, as well as added manually, which makes the app a handy tool for note taking.
The contents from the clipboard history can be copied into the clipboard again, they can be edited, deleted, searched, and shared too. When sharing links they can be optionally shortened if URLy is installed. Any links in the contents will be quickly picked up and extra options will be available to open or share them directly from the device. HTTP and Market links are amongst the supported types.
Clipboard + Notes can be easily turned off from the settings if it is no longer needed, and its operation can be customised to match the user's needs. The clipboard collection is intelligently stopped when the device isn't being used any more, which makes it very battery-friendly.
In addition it integrates with the Android Quick Search Bar so you can directly search your clipboard history. It further integrates with Google's cloud backup and restore, so any time you wipe your device your contents and settings will be restored the next time you install the application (only works on Android 2.3+ and backup/restore must be enabled in the 'Privacy' settings for your device).

P.S. Would it be helpful if the text which is currently in the clipboard was highlighted, for example the font was bold or text bigger? It is always at the top in the list, but not sure if that makes sense/occurs to everyone.

There is one problem I recognized, sometimes when I press Copy Link it happen nothing in Clipboard Contents. Then I switch off & on the service and my Link is displaying in the History !

So let me understand this correctly. You have some items in the list, you long-click on one of them (not the top one), click copy to clipboard and nothing happens in the list? What should happen is that the one you copied should be moved to the top of the list. What happens when you click on 'Refresh'? Same thing as when you turn the service off and on, or is it different?
I've never had this issue happen to me so I'm just trying to understand whether there are some particular steps which make it happen. Anyway, I'll take a look at the code, but any extra information would be helpful. Thanks.

OK, I understand now... I think
The problem is that the service refreshes every X seconds, depending on how you have it set in the settings. If you copy something and open the list, the service might not have refreshed yet and therefore the item won't appear in the list. If you know you copied something and it's not there you should just hit the 'Refresh' button and it should appear, that's the reason why I put it there.

OK. I think it is somewhat annoying that there isn't a separate permission for ad-only internet access, as that would probably make users more trustful of applications which request permissions that may have nothing to do with the app's functionality (such as this one).

I was thinking exactly the same thing.

Some people may think that this is a dead application, but nope. I still have plans for it, but not enough time at the moment Anyway, here is the version 1.4 update:

Tiny tweaks to the user interface

How To Install​
If you have 2nd Init installed already skip to step 3, if not start at step 1. These steps assume you already have flashed the Nordic Froyo rom to your Defy.​
1. Download Defy 2nd init installer 1.4 ONLY from here.
2. Run the 2nd init installer following the instructions closely.
3. Boot into Custom BootMenu by pressing volume down when device flashes a blue led at bootup. Set default boot mode to 2nd init.
4. Select Recovery, Custom Recovery. Choose "Wipe Data/Cache" option. Let finish.
5. Choose Install .zip from SD Card, select the MIUI roms .zip and let it finish.

I think aGPS may finally be working in this version too as it picked up 5 sats and got fixed to 4 within 10 seconds...a lot better for me.
Settings menu is definitely smoother.

For me its laggy even at 1Ghz, not the settings menu (witch is ok) but after i restore all my backups using TB when the desktop went filled of icons, the navigation started to lag. Thats why i reverted to CM7 RC0 using stock Gingerbread launcher, makes me feel fast like an iphone4 instant feelings

My home screen is pretty smooth but i think you need to give it time, a couple of reboots etc.
I couldn't imagine not using this now!

Just done a 1.5 mile run and MyTracks followed the route perfectly. I think aGPS is definitely working.
Very happy with this release I may try and resist the urge to upgrade to a newer version when available.

What is your location?
I have used a European gps.conf and changed baseband to a UK one they are the only changes I made prior to testing gps with GPS Test.

Maybe it's the gps.conf then? The stock one is Chinese.
Try flashing the attached gps.conf, then go into GPS Test app, clear agps data and redownload see if it works then.
I have read that the gps.conf has an ntp server for time and if the time is wrong it may not get an accurate fix. I'm guessing China has a slightly different time zone :lol:

GPS works for me. US rom, no fix, no baseband switch, disabled aGPS

Very strange how GPS works for some and not for others. Like i said after the things i changed it followed me pretty closely for a 1.5 mile run. First fix maybe took 30 seconds but fixes after that much quicker.

Have you ever taken your phone abroad? Do you find it hard to remember country codes? Are you a frequent traveler? If you answered yes (or no) on any of the questions above, here's the solution for you.
Internationumber is an app that lets you convert your numbers that are stored without a country code into a universal number that just works from anywhere in the world. No more problems knowing what number to put in the beginning, nor how many digits you have to add or keep - Internationumber keeps track of everything, and lets you live your life in awesomeness.
It's pretty much as easy as A, B and C:
You pick a country to convert contacts to
You select contacts from the list of "unfixed" contacts
You're done!
If you for some reason end up converting a contact to the wrong country, then all you need to do is restore the backup from inside the app. It can't get any easier than that!
Privacy information:
Your contacts will never be used in any malicious fashion, and Internationumber will never transfer your contacts off your device. All backups are stored locally on your device, so don't uninstall the app if you intend on restoring a backup!
Information regarding the permissions:
Read & Write Contacts - needed for the actual changing
Billing - used for in-app billing purposes (donation)
Availibility
Available on Google Play for devices running Android 2.2+ and later. It's cheap too, priced at 0$ (or equivalent amount in your local currency).

Hey, thanks for the feedback - I actually forgot about the prefixes which is why I'm not handling them correctly. I will however add that to the list of stuff to address, and make it follow your examples instead upon detecting *foo* or #foo#.
Other than that, did you encounter any strange behavior, or was the experience as expected? :fingers-crossed:

oh i forgot,
there was a really annoying problem.
at the country selection screen i tried to touch the radio button because it looked like a radio button. but i found out that i had to touch the Countries name.

The app has now been updated to version 1.0.1 that includes a fix for the issue brought forward by @Ekril (command numbers not being converted as expected), as well as a few other variations that the app didn't handle correctly. All in all, a minor update that makes the conversion even more reliable!

Ah, thanks for the video. Would you prefer to manually "proceed" (by pressing next) instead of it doing so automagically when you press a row? If so, it could be a setting in the next release.

Just remove those radio buttons (circle things at the right side of the country names). it will be enough.

a colour change at the selected row. cause those radio buttons makes people at least me and one of my friend to thing we have tu push on them so it will be selected.
also it will be great at the next screen if Selected countries name resides at the very top of the screen. so we won't have to worry about people choosing wrong country and end up with a fully screwed up address book.

a colour change at the selected row. cause those radio buttons makes people at least me and one of my friend to thing we have tu push on them so it will be selected.
also it will be great at the next screen if Selected countries name resides at the very top of the screen. so we won't have to worry about people choosing wrong country and end up with a fully screwed up address book.

Great suggestions, I've added them both to the app now. I'll (hopefully) have a new version out this weekend, with either new functionality or just the two changes above.

Sorry for the delay people, but I've updated the app to version 1.1 now. It includes the fixes previously requested in this thread, a few other ones (for example: excluding emergency numbers) as well as an "automagic" service that converts new numbers to a country of your choice.

The app has been bumped to version 1.1.1 with a small, yet necessary bug fix. If you run a conversion, and later on notice that a number looks off - all you need to do is 1) press the MENU button, 2) head over to the Backup screen and 3) restore the contact(s) in question. Don't forget to let me know about the error so that I can fix it in an upcoming version. :good:

[APP][4.2+]DashClock SMS Viewer: View contents of SMS messages in DashClock

I've been a fan of DashClock for a long time. But one thing that always seemed misssing about it was that the SMS extension built into it didn't show the contents of the messages you have received. I thought that this couldn't be too hard, and it wasn't.
I grabbed the DashClock SMS extension source and modified it to display the sender in the top part, and the message text in the bottom part. As of version 0.5 it now supports viewing up to 3 separate message threads (as long as you enable that option). As of 0.6 it supports leading to Hangouts. As of 0.7, the issue on Samsung devices (only tested on S3 running stock 4.3) is resolved.

Read MMS (group messages, say something about a picture) - as of .5 I found a way to do this. But not a way to test.
It's not tested on Sense devices (it was reported to be also not working on them). But the fix for Touchwizvshould also fix it for Sense devices.

Great idea - I can't understand why no-one else thought of this sooner!

Awesome work! Other extensions that do the same thing required Accessibility Service to work, but would force close some apps for some reason. Yours doesn't require Accessibility Service and is working great.

I would if I knew it was possible, and I had a means of testing it while I started it up. I have no idea if there's an API or the notifications can be read. Try this though.

I just needed to say that I love this app.
I did find one bug in it though.
I have my MMS messages set to not automatically download (thanks to Sprint being kind of dodgy sometimes).
So, sometimes when I get an MMS, this will incorrectly show a seemingly random old text message (although it does show the correct sender).

It probably is how it reads the message thread when you have an MMS. I'm not really sure how I would fix it, it's probably a problem in the original DashClock code.

Updated to version 0.3, check the first post! Hopefully it addresses MMS problems, as the main DashClock dev redid a lot of the code to run the base SMS extension, but I'm not sure if it will actually change anything. Maybe in .4 I'll work on a workaround.

Install DashClock from play store, and then go to its menu and add SMS Viewer.

UPDATE
Just use version 0.2.1. It appears that rebasing made it not work right.
From a technical point of view, the messageID value (which is used to seek the right thread and message in the thread) that the old code gave is DIFFERENT than what the new code gives, and the new code's value makes it run wrongly.
I apologize for the problems...in the coming week I'll try to release another update that adds some features.
