YouTube Vanced of course!! It's the ultimate YouTube app. Its built off the stock YouTube app so it's UI is nearly the same but blocks all the ads in YouTube and has many more features not normally available for YouTube that make it this app so dam good. The developers are from right here on XDA. I'll link below to main site. Check it out...

There's an extension for desktop chrome and Firefox called YouTube adblock. Google how to add extension to mobile browsers, and you're set.

I am using a Lenovo Tablet K10 for watching YouTube and I tried several ad-blockers but most of them hardly work and YouTube would force you to go for premium subscription.

[HELP] - Which solution for Youtube app on non-rooted android TV ?

Hi,
I would like to have Youtube without ads on my AndroidTV box (the box is provided by my ISP and is not "rootable").
I dont want to use a solution that will need a VPN (because of privacy issues). So, I can't use Adaway, nor DNS66 solution.
I tried Youtube vanced but it doesnt work correctly on the android TV. The remote control and the interface is for "mobile" and not for television
I also tried "Smart Youtube TV" but even if the app has a great interface (the same as the original), I still has ads displayed.
Do you know good solutions for my purpose ?
Thanks a lot community !

Try installing ES File Explorer, then download a YouTube.apk, store the apk file in your internal storage in the folder of your choice. Then, open ES File Explorer, tap the menu button, find the "Network" option, then select "Android TV", click "scan", if it finds the TV, connect with it, then it should allow you to install YouTube on the TV using the apk file that you stored on your device.

Youtube app

Figured this has been discussed many times, but could not find the details?
Was wondering if there was a way to get a youtube app installed on Webos that will play videos without ads? I know it may need to be rooted, so if thats needed thats ok. It seems like there is a way root now with 3.5 or lower.
I know with Android this is easy with or without root. So would like to do the same with LG SmartTV running WebOS.
you can probably add the urls for the ads to the hosts file which should stop them from loading

Can I do that not rooted?
URL blocking hasn't worked for well over a year with YouTube. PiHole and the like are ineffective.
You need a modified app that doesn't play ads, like you get for Android. I don't think one exists for LG WebOS.
Run youtube without ads on LG-TV
Have the Youtube app installed on the LG-TV (Useing this app direcly will always show adds on all youtube videos), if you have an android phone -Then google "YouTube Vanced" -its a modded adfree Android YouTube client, works on none rooted android phones. Run the app on your phone search for the Video then use icon to cast screen to the TV. Youtube app on TV will show the video without ads.
I guess you can do the same if you have iPhone and an youtube adfree app.

any update on this subject? unfortunately casting from Vanced is not a solution anymore, TV keeps showing ads which can be skipped after 5s of viewing. What is interesting - Vanced even displays a notification that TV is going to show the ad in a few secs
I just went to https://rootmy.tv from my LG TV web browser and it installed the homebrew channel, from that I was able to install the adfree youtube mod and disable my TV checking for new updates which might lose my root. It also includes SponsorBlock in the mod so it will skip annoying subscription reminders & in-video promotions.
Can you revert back if needed?

Adblock in Web + Youtube possible with HD 10?

Hello,
I'm evaluating if a HD 10 could be my first tablet ever. I would mainly need it for research and youtube videos. Also my kids should use it.
My main concern is: could I get a web adblocker working on the HD? Is eg Adblock possible in the fire browser? Can I install "youtube vanced" for having a youtube version without ads (or anything else)?
Could I install apps limiting the usage for my kids, without having to license any monthly-subscription apps for it?
Thanks a lot
It's possible!

Yes, you can. I recommend DNS66 because it works without root and is not very battery intensive. You can download it from F-Droid, an alternate app store. Here's a good article about it.

Yeah, just sideload a Youtube Vanced and MicroG APK. That's it. You can find rootless versions here. Note: These versions cannot save watched videos, watch progress or search history (for me).

Yes, your tablets ships with Amazon Freetime. You have to create a kids profile then you can restrict how long and what apps your kids use, check their activities and get a restricted kids web browser as well.
My six-year-old Cousin has a Fire HD 8 Kids Edition setup with Freetime and it seems to work.

Why there is no a Facebook Mod free ad apk yet?

I already saw a lot of apps modded on xda forums like Twitch and Youtube. But the only Facebook modded apk i found is one from 2017 outdated, can someone explain why there is no a modded version of Facebook yet? Just like Vanced Youtube or something like that, is it hard to mod a Facebook apk and remove ads?

Any way to bypass the forced YouTube update message?

Hey all
My mom has an old Samsung phone (I think it's a Samsung S4). She mostly just use WhatsApp and Youtube on it. Unfortunately, when we open the YouTube app now, it shows a message saying that the app must be updated to use, but we can't even update it because the android version is old and not supported anymore. I tried some things like clearing cache, tried installing an old Youtube APK, but none worked.
Is there any way to bypass this forced update?
Just install YouTube vanced. You'll have the bonus of no ads.

Thank you very much! I installed an old version of Vanced (since the newest version won't work on old phones) and it's working perfectly.
