Hello I would like to change from Orangefox to TWRP. How do I get that (which steps must be taken into account)? And which TWRP can you recommend? regards H0rdak

Hello guys,
I would like to install magisk on my galaxy S6 EDGE + (SM-G928F) with MagiskSU; Or my current configuration is Magisk with SuperSU so no hide root ... I know how to do, it's not my problem! I need to restore a source boot image, I also know how to recover it from the official rom, but my question is:
How to flash this "boot.img" on my SM-G928F? I think it's pretty simple. Thanks for the reply!
Anthony
Hi all so I am planning to install a Havoc OS on my phone with TWRP and Magisk
So my question is in the event that the install doesnt work out for me or that I dont like the rom (no rearson why I shouldnt) how do I get back to the original A10 rom?
I have downloaded the OxygenOS 10.0.6 [EU] OnePlus 7 Pro 5G.zip file from here already. Would I be able to go ahead boot into TWRP and flash this ifneeded?
TIA Bart

Hi Bart,
Make sure you keep TWRP recovery after flashing custom Rom.
Then if you want to go back, flash official Rom zip on both slots after formatting data otherwise it won't boot.
Thanks for that.
Only thing I'm not sure is what you mean by flashing to both slots?
If for example you get a boot loop can you still get into TWRP?
I assume this is a yes as this is before it boots into the phones OS?

When returning to stock,
format data
Flash stock zip
Flash TWRP
Reboot into recovery which is TWRP
Follow the same steps again and reboot...
If you end up in boot loop, don't stress. You can always flash TWRP recovery again via fastboot.
Hello,
I am having a very big problem:
Yesterday evening I unlocked the bootloader of my Poco F2 Pro and I wanted to install a custom rom (I was thinking of installing One Os).
I followed the step by step but the installation did not work and I only had access to recovery.
I managed to reset the original rom via Mi Flash but having retried the same Mi flash procedure now blocks.
Since then I find myself without a phone, the recovery seems to work but it stops there, impossible by flashing it to launch a ROM, I have the impression that the system partion does not work
To be precise, this is an 8-256GB
Thank you in advance to the person who can help me relaunch it.

so u cant flash with miflash? what errors gives miflash on flashing?
Good evening,
Thanks for trying to help me.
I managed to finally flash my F2 Pro via MiFlash.
So what is the precise method to flash a rom, I would like to install MiuiMix but I do not have a view on the system partition in TWRP and I am afraid of bricking my phone.
Small precision, I do not know if that changes anything but it is an F2 Pro 8-256Go
thank you in advance
Good day all, need some advice/learned assistance (fairly noob)., happy to make a PP beer donation for help(or to XDA to support), I have a oneplus7 pro 12/256 with a clean flash of android 10 and OOS 10 and I'd like to set it up with RROS, twrp, magisk, and nethunter.
I have downloaded:
RROS-Q-8.7.3-20210921-guacamole-Official.zip (flash to A or B or both?)
twrp-installer-3.6.1_11-0-guacamole.zip
Magisk-v23.0.zip
nethunter-2021.3-generic-arm64-kalifs-full.zip (generic is best option?)
Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_11.02.2020 (is this needed? when to flash)
Ineed to know best sequence/method of flashing (what tools to flash? twrp? AIO? other?) so I dont endlessly brick and reflash .....)
Also would there be a better kernel to use than the one that comes with nethunter generic (and when how to flash? twrp or EXkernel app?)
Also any suggestions/things you've learned/things I may have wrong..
Many thanks. Regards
Jon
ps if this is the wrong section to post in MODS please move?

To flash you have to unlock your bootloader flash twrp first RROS second format data flash magisk then dm verity to unencrypt data (i think you need this for nethunter to work) then nethunter
Thanks for the advice

Anytime. Dual boot is fun to have as well
Ok I have RROS, twrp, and magisk loaded and working ok but havn't loaded Nethunter yet (rom seems smooth/good) all on SLOT B, slot A stll has standard recovery/bootloader and official oneplus OS (but it just sits at start endlessly and doesnt boot).
Noob questions I have: should I be looking to flash RROS rom, twrp, magisk on slot A also?
Or should I flash Nethunter on the A slot? (with RROS or alone, with twrp?)
Should I be looking to wipe the std oneplus OS off slot A?
Is the RRos rom encrypted? if not I dont need to flash DMVerity decrypt zip?
Also when in the std bootloader/fasboot screen powershell/cmd and other apps dont see my device (adb devices shows no entry)? poss adb or fastboot driver issue?
Many thanks for any replies. Im leaning LOTS fast Regards Jon
Sorry, I couldn't find the answer. I installed lineage 20 on my one plus 9. I also installed the custom recovery required by lineage. I want to try out the pixel rom but what do I do about the custom lineage recovery? Do i use msm tools to restore it first? or can i install the unofficial twrp i saw on this forum instead or is there a stock recovery I can easily find to change it back? Thanks for any help.

OnePlus 9 does not have a dedicated recovery partition anymore (most modern phones don't have anymore). Instead, recovery now resides inside boot, meaning they share the same kernel. That's the reason every ROM instruction says to flash the provided boot, vendor_boot and dtbo images. Note that these 3 images are the same found in that particular ROM zip. Anyway, the point is that when you flash boot, the recovery is flashed too.
So, in your case, even if you are on LineageOS 20, and you can access LineageOS recovery, you can just go ahead and do a factory reset and flash the Pixel ROM through adb sideload. After that, boot, vendor_boot and dtbo will be automatically flashed/updated to Pixel's. But the recommended way is still to make sure you first flash those given 3 images before going to recovery and proceeding with factory reset and flashing.
