Question ROM recommendation - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

Hello, I recently upgraded my ancient One Plus One (Cyanogen) to Poco X3 Pro. I haven't been keeping up with the developments in the rom community at all. As the whole Cynogen situation flew over my head. So I was wondering which one is currently the most robust rom out there. From what research I've done Lineage OS and Arrow OS seem to be the most popular for Poco X3 Pro. So I wanted to get the opinion of the community to make an informed choice, what OS will last me as long and function long as Cynogen did on my old phone has?

I'm currently on lineageos, I tried crdroid, paranoid Android, havoc os, xiaomi.eu, pixel experience, pixel extended, MSM xtended, kraken proyect, evolution X, derpfest, and I must forgot one or two more. The best experience I had was with havoc-os. All works great, superb stability and plenty customisation. Every rom I try after that just dissapoints me. They are so cluttered with malfunctioning features to be reliable or are so clean and minimalistic that you forgot is a custom rom, what is good if you gain speed and performance, but thats didn't happen to me.

I am on lineageos, super clean, as i don't mind lack of customization, and it's the mother of all roms as basically all roms are based on it and normally it's the last rom to abandoning a device....

Not on your list but I'm finding Derpfest as great on this device as on my previous devices.

[Q] Your Favorite Nexus 5 -- 4.4.2 Rom?

So i've had the nexus for several weeks now.
tried the stock for a bit, did like it but missed some customizations offered by other custom Roms.
Went to Euroskank for a bit also, a big improvement on customization and is a very stable rom.
Now i'm on Carbon, seems stable for a nightly, love the PIE features and ability to customize the notification and status bars.
So the point of this post is more to hear what the user that have had this phone longer have to say.
Whats your favorite rom, and why?
lets keep on topic and try not to bash anyones work at the same time.
thanks in advance for any replies.
Topics like this can lead to Comparison of roms which is against the rules. Have a read at rule no.4 please: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2500184. Try out the roms for yourself.
Well wasnt what i was looking for or intended, so i guess mod can delete when ready.

Lol
1 - question in general forums completely ignoring the sticky to not post questions here.
2 - no favorite rom or kernel threads and this one is titled literally favorite rom.
Not even bothered to read a single sticky. They are stickied for a reason.

The reason that comments on Youtube, yahooo, Cnet, ZdNet, Gsmarena and another 100 pages with Posts system SUCK is beacause the moderation also Sucks. That being said, If XDA didn't have this Rules and active moderation, it would've been a disaster community as well.
I thank to Mods for keeping this place clean, educated and resourceful. It also would be harder for users to feed from a source with too many repeated questions and mixed answers.
As others have mentioned best ROM/Kernel threads are not allowed on XDA. The question in its self in subjective, everyone has there own needs for their own use, best advice is to head over to the development section try some out and see which best suits your needs.
Thread also cleaned please keep your posts respectful guys, meaning no name calling.......................

i9505 5.1 ROMs comparison

So, it seems that there are several i9505 5.1 ROMs and it is not an easy job to try each one to decide which one to go with. We may agree that there is no "best one", but I think we can make a good reference containing reviews that compares two or more ROMs in terms of some measures - smoothness/lag, stability, force closes, random reboots, battery life, functionality, customizability... etc.
If you agree with me that this will be useful, please help building this reference by posting in this thread
Please keep this thread clean and focused on its purpose as much as possible.
Cheers.
For stability - [JDCTeam][5.1.1] Optimized CyanogenMod 12.1 builds
For smoothness without lag - Resorruction Remix rom
1st. wrong place
2nd. wrong topic
3rd. try each rom out yourself and make conclusion
what place do you suggest?
and no, trying each ROM is not the best way for everyone.

General.
Comparison threads usually don't seem to work too well because everyone has different needs which results in different experiences. Also no two devices are the same which means kernels perform differently, etc.

I agree, but it is still useful to have all the opinions in one place, maybe some ROMs stand out from the others.

Reading each ROM thread gives perfect feedback about the quality of that ROM
No need for this thread at all
I actually value this thread. I agree that it should go to general section but the information that is provided on this thread is very useful though!

I see you are a new member. There is a reason there are no comparison threads. There is no point in doing that.
1. Every 5.1 rom is based on Cyanogenmod. So each one contains the same major bugs.
2. User have never tried all of them. They will say this rom is the best because it's the only one they tried.
Some roms have more/different features then other roms. But you cannot compare them the way you want to because every rom is based on the standard Cyanogemod. There is to my knowledge only one rom that uses his own kernel. The rest uses standard CM kernel.

I tried two ROMs and the difference is HUGE. I read the threads of each but they were not of much usefulness. However, there were some opinions that compared different ROMs and I found them very useful. That's why I think these types of reviews should be gathered in one thread.

ROMs threads are full of opinions and questions of different topics and side talks, useful reviews are scattered along hundreds of pages. Putting these reviews in one place is not a bad idea, I think.
ROM opinion threads. Hate them. They are the plague!
XDA used to have a policy where threads whose only purpose was to determine "which ROM is best" were forbidden. They should restore that policy, because all the information necessary to make an informed decision can be found within the ROM threads themselves. On top of that, the only way to really know which ROM is best is to try them. For example, I've tried AICP, Team UB, and JDCTeam Optimized CM12.1. All of them are based on CM12.1, and all of them work fairly well. I didn't like AICP however because of an aesthetics issue, stopped using TeamUB because the latest versions of APKTool couldn't decompile its framework*, and went to Optimized CM12.1 in response.
As Lennyz1988 notes, all that people are going to tell you is about the one ROM they use, and not elaborate on the pros and cons of the various ROMs. Therefore, ROM opinion threads in general are a sign of laziness. Rather than taking the time and doing the research yourself, you'd rather have other people do it for you.
------------------------------------------------------------------
*No issues in decompiling the latest Optimized CM12.1 framework, meaning TeamUB deliberately made it so the framework could not be modified.

I left MiA1 for OnePlus 7 but...

Hi there, first of all i want to say thank you to all the MiA1 community it was a great journey with this device and developers make it even better
Now i got a better device OnePlus 7 but there is almost no development at all for this device just few buggy roms
oneplus is great and oxygen os is good but i'm missing the lack of custom rom like we have on mia1

Hi @Zhing xina
I have moved this thread to the correct section and have removed the duplicate you created in Q&A. Please never post duplicates and be mindful where you post. This is universal courtesy on the entire Internet, not just on XDA. If you realise you've made a booboo, that's alright, but please don't try to fix it yourself. That's why we are here! Benevolent little creatures crawling all over the place. Below every post you'll find a 'Report' button, please click that and detail your needs in there to call us in for maintenance – or when people make a big booboo . There are several teams of us dedicated to all parts of the forum (here's a list). It may take some time to cater to your needs but we'll get there eventually. Patience is a wonderful thing. And so is reading! @BillGoss said it, this thing is beautiful. Also very helpful can be this one: [GUIDE] - XDA New User Guide - Getting started on XDA.
Nonetheless a warm welcome! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me. Enjoy your stay on XDA!
Kind regards and stay safe

To get to your original question: that really depends on your needs. For some reliant on specific applications (banking/government/work apps) custom ROMs or even unlocking the bootloader are in some cases (not all!) a no-go. In the development section you've undoubtedly seen an overwhelming amount of selections to choose from. I usually browse the ones on top as those still have an active userbase going on. If the OP (Original Poster) is still part of the conversation, that's a major plus! Then I first read the first post (also called OP - Original Post) of the ones that seem interesting. As you'll get more acquainted with ROM development groups, you'll develop a personal preference towards some of them. My personal preference used to be Resurrection Remix; I really loved that scene. But for aforementioned reason I'm sticking with stock (and some Magisk module tweaking) for now. It's imperative to read the last few pages of a ROM thread, like this you may detect if there are any ongoing known problems (3rd party camera apps not working, quirky bluetooth, FP reader broken, etc.). Time is key here. Taking some time to delve into the topic can avoid a lot of frustrations. I suggest at least a few hours of research before making the jump. Good luck on your ROM quest!

Question [CLOSED] What is the best ROM For Gaming and Battery Performance on POCO X3 Pro?

Hello everyone,
I'm playing COD Mobile about 6 hours in a day and I'm searching for a ROM who have the best fps without damaging to much to the battery life (I don't want too much crazy overclocking to explode the phone!), I've searched a lot about custom ROMs but...
at the end I noticed that using Syberia OS and Derpfest seems good (just because of over 59k Antutu score).
I'm playing with 5 fingers + gyroscope. and again as a gamer, good touch responses, not too much of overheating and stable fps are important to me, and also I prefer 1 time install and get updates automatically.
I'm lost in the world of information here, all the ROMs seems fine but I can't choose. sorry for English problems. could you guys please help me?
