Has anybody from Rogers been able to upgrade their firmware through the LG Mobile support tool. I am still on v10c and when i try updating it is giving a message that i cannot update my model
Hi there,
I just bough an LG Flex 2 (H955), but the phone is Vodafone branded, thus the firmware is a little behind (still has V10c).
I tried to flash a North European version 10e, but the firmware did not change, although no errors showed up during the process (except a server error but the process continued). I tried to flash using LG FlashTool 2014.
What am I doing wrong?
The phone is running on Polish Orange network, on the box I found that is is a H955 VFD2 variant (whatever that means?).
New firmware wont help. Its piece of **** and nothing will fix it. I wish I never bought it.

It is normal.
The branded phones always indicate a less version, but this is the same version of software.
normal --- branded
V10c --- V10b
V10d --- V10c

Ok, but can I actually debrand the phone in any way?
Is there actually a point to do this? Will I get the software updates faster?

You can delete programs/start screen of Vodafone, but no the version. (system/op directory? I not sure. backup!!!)
When LG launched an upgrade, you upgrade with LG FlashTool 2014 and you do not have any problems with OTA
I assume I have to wait for a Vodafone firmware to be released?
I tried to flash one of the firmwares from the first post here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/general/official-lg-h955-phone-firmware-t3090920
The process went fine, but the firmware did not change. Can there be a lock of sorts in place?

Sorry, I did not read well the versions.
I followed these instructions with the version V10E (NORTHERN EUROPE Edition) as shown in the phone as V10D. My phone is Orange Spain. You don´t need wait to Vodafone version.

First of all what kdz are you flashing?? There's no D850 kdz file.
Your getting an error with flash tool is because your supposed to use the dll file that says use this if you have trouble. Or you have to use an hex editor to change the tot file your needing to flash. Just google hex tot file edit

Just like me.. you've been scammed. someone sold you 855 with a different board. 850 most probably. so try 850 tot files. not kdz. Cheerz
Hey guys, i bought the Korean version of the V50 Thinq, what im wondering is can I flash another firmware, specifically the australian version, over to get rid of the Korean options and bloat? Im assuming if you can, that the dual screen will still work? As there is an Australian version of the phone with the attachment. And ideas?
Now, there is no suitable dll file for V50 to flash KDZ using LG UP.
I acquired a lg v50 (LG V500n) recently and it came with this version (u + 5g), at boot time this name appears, I was wondering if I can switch to the OPEN version, belonging to the lg v500n from korea.
From what I get reading threads on XDA, crossflashing even within the same region is blocked by LGUP. Of course I would be very happy if someone would correct me as I also own a Korean model with SKT and would like to get rid of the annoying boot screen as well as the bloat.

I want a ROM whit no carrier custom logos, apps, etc...
Sorry for my bad english too, i'm from Brasil..

Did he cross flashed? I guess he just used the same region previous version. Correct me if I'm wrong.
