Recovery image needed for Stack J107 - General Questions and Answers

Hi, new user here but I have been following for years the forum and had installed custom roms for my devices.
I have been gifted a Stack J107 Chinese tablet which was supposed to be running a MTK6989 deca processor with android 9 but in reality it is a MTK6592 running a lollipop 5.1.
I have tried a few custom recovery images for both chipsets but none would work.
The thing I didn't know is that I could backup the recovery via so flash (I am new to mediatek).
Does anyone have a stock recovery image that could fit the device?
Thank you in advance.

[Q] Chuwi V99 Display and Boot Recovery Disabled

I have some experience with custom roms and have used both phoenix and Clockworks recovery and ROM software.
I flashed my tablet with I thought a working Chuwi V99 A31 chipset rom with a update to android 4.2.2.
It installed just fine... one problem NO display !!!! I can use my HDMI and mouse to navigate around. The bigger problem is that I can't boot into recovery or use Phoenix to
flash a working rom. I also don't have Wifi. What can I do to get it reflashed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Lenovo tab2 a7 10f kitkat rom problem

Hello,
I am a beginner at android development.
I have a Lenovo tab 2 a7 10f which was, actually given by my coaching institute with a KitKat rom installed in it which, i guess was with system app of them.Whenever anyone would open it, it would turn on with a screen if the app only. With my current knowledge, system app can only be deleted by flashing a new rom or by rooting the rom(what could i do by roiting if it turns on to that app only!). Now,I wanted to flash a firmware of KitKat, either by recovery or by SPF tools.
1. I tried recovery and then rom method, after installing adb and fastboot drivers and Lenovo usb and that 15 second driver, adb devices didn't show up(It showed up on any other device )
2.I tried Spf tools method ; it also didnt work
To my curiosity:angel:, in the stock recovery, it showed the option of flashing an update through adb sideload.
I tried and it showed up like
Xxxxxxxxxx.... sideload
I read the xda forums and found that to install a custom or stock lollipop rom a minimal mod has to be made using SPF tools.
NOW
what i need is KitKat recovery flashable stock or custom rom because there are lollipop ROMs everywhere. If it is already available, please send me link or if any guy has a KitKat rom and knows how to make a flashable zip of it, please upload.
This thread will be useful for many people having the same problem.
Regards,
Spartan the boy
even i got this same tablet from a coaching institute their name is professional academy for cpt

Question - Flashing StockOTA rom/Modded Stock rom on Kill Switch K1 Wifi Tablet

My tablet currently has TWRP (latest version from the StockOTA tutorial on the forums) installed as well as a custom rom (CyanogenMod) installed on to the tablet. I'm looking to restore Stock or an optimized Stock rom onto the kill switch wifi K1 tablet, but the problem is I can't find the latest available OTA download? Is it the Recovery OS on NVIDIA's site?
Are these the right steps to have me running the proper setup?
Boot TWRP Recovery
Flash NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet K1 Recovery OS Image (5.1.0)
Flash TWRP Custom Recovery (Supposedly this gets erased in the process from what I've read on the forums)
Flash 'nomoreota.zip'
Flash 'SuperSU' from the stockOTA thread
Delete some sort of (Nvidia or Stock)OTA.apk file in the system partition
If anyone has any suggestions or tips, please help if you don't mind. I've read through a couple threads here, and honestly, I'm pretty lost...I just think that my current rom is lacking in performance, but I don't want the device to brick.

You has experience flashing Custom Recoveries?
Share all specs from your device and let me know how you tried Porting.
Maybe need this? Gionee F205 / F205 Pro DA & Auth
Thanks, I have zero experience and have only started. I have already ported the custom recovery to my device using carliv image kitchen tool from here. The TWRP custom recovery is working perfectly but I can't confirm it as I have been searching for a week for a custom ROM(Oreo or later) to flash for my gionee F205(nougat) and can't find one. I have started trying to port the stock ROM of GIONEE F205 PRO which is Oreo and also treble enabled. Both have little differences but the same chipset(MT6739). But as of now nothing has worked. Could you help with that?
Or is there any custom ROM I can flash? Can I port from this non-treble device to an treble enabled ROM.
Also I tried Flashing the Stock rom of F205 pro excluding the Preloader using SP Flash Tools. But it return a error "PMT changed for ROM, it must be downloaded". So I tried to format except the bootloader and it too returns an error "ERROR : STATUS_SEC_WRITE_DATA_NOT_ALLOWED(0XC002000C).

You not need Custom ROM to test Custom Recovery. Now you need confirm that your file work good as you confusing here: "The TWRP custom recovery is working perfectly but I can't confirm it as.."
If you know that your TWRP work "perfectly" so the "issue" SOLVED. LOL
About Custom ROMs MT6739 stock Nougat:
I did a quick search in some places I know and the news is not good. I didn't really see any custom ROM for MT6739 with Nougat kernel.
Without a kernel upgraded to Android 8.1 you will not have much chance of installing the GSI ROM.
It is not just installing the stock ROM of another similar device or of the same company! It is about something that will take time and may have many errors to correct because companies that sell MTK devices do not provide all Source Code files to make a new kernel. So you can usually even ask someone with experience to do something, but without the full Source Code, then the chances are -100%.
So you can even have a Custom ROM from another MT6739 as long as it is with the Nougat kernel. Obviously there will be items to be solved for your device or suddenly not. As I have not seen any MT6739 Nougat with Custom ROM, then I cannot help further in this context.
If I had an MT6739 with Nougat then I would look at some MT6737 with Nougat because there are a lot of Custom ROMs for these. But remember that the MT6739 can have 32 bits (arm) or 64 bits (arm64) and that will influence something.
I myself have a 64-bit Nougat MT6737T that has RRMix Oreo 8.1 and works great!
So everything will depend on you and your time to do the PORT and the necessary tests because it will be a learning experience for yourself!
Good Lucky!
