Im looking for a rom that i can use without magisk and safetynet passes.and most important of all i want it to support microg cuz i dont want google services.
If you want to pass SafetyNet you have to use Google services...
Didnt knew that.Do you think failing safetynet will cause any issues on apps? i think the lineage os for microg looks the best for me but i think i should stay in stock.rom and ota installs doesnt looks like as easy or convinient as my old 5t

Everything was ok till latest update (Google Pay). I tried delete google.android.services.gms or similar name, I can't remember, Google Pay and Google Play Servirces are in Magisk Hide. But unfortunatelly not working Google Pay. Any ideas how to fix this?

If it's what I think it is, this is not just affecting you or Mi MIX 3, Google Pay with root is broken for a lot of people on a lot of devices since the latest Google Play Services update: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/discussion-google-pay-magisk-discussion-t3906703
The only known working fixes at the moment are:
1. Roll back Google Play Services version and freeze updates
OR
2. Follow the instructions in this thread to edit one of the GMS databases, which allows GPay to carry on working via Magisk Hide
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/magisk-google-pay-gms-17-1-22-pie-t3929950
Personally I used option 2, no issues or side effects so far and fully working for me on my Mi MIX 3 with latest versions of everything Google, Android P and Magisk 19.1.
BUT please make sure you have a working backup before you modify GMS database and permissions just incase you need to roll back.
I'm looking into buying the newly released Huawei Nova 6. I just have a few concerns that I'd like to know the answers to.
1: Will the Chinese version pass Safetynet if the trade war stops?
2: If the phone will never pass Safetynet, what apps will I be unable to use?
3: Is there a way to make the phone think it passes Safetynet? I'm not sure what Magisk or rooting is, but I think it has something to do with it.
4: If there's a global release of the phone, will the global version pass Safetynet?
If anyone else has any additional comments to make regarding new Huawei devices, I'd love to hear them. I'm not concerned as far as regular Google Play services go, I'm sure I will be able to get that installed. It's just stuff like Google Pay, banking apps etc.
Thanks.
Hi Guys,
I have a OnePlus 6 (oxygenOs rooted) and am very satisfied so far. I've been extremely bothered recently by google and Facebook and Instagram tracking us, thats why I want to de-googling my Oneplus 6. I am not a professional and would like to ask you for help. I did some research on the internet and read a lot about LineageOs and MicroG. I also tried / e / rom and some apps don't work without google services like Line and some apps.
Is there a manual somewhere where I can de-googgle my cell phone and all apps work as with google? I would prefer to lead on oxygen OS or hyrogenOs if these apps would work without google services.
I would be very happy about your tips.
Thanks in advance
greetings
Coktail
ciao
you have to get microG, if you go on their post you will have enought info (and app)
there Is also a magisk module for microG
and an unofficial zip installer (that I suggest, since It could replace Gapps keeping the most of google funtionality)
anyway a lot of google stufs could not work
contact and calendar there are a lot of post discussing
pay, search, assistant, discovery, maps, autofill, maybe netflix
some of them could be easily replaced, others no way...
and, It could be preferible run microG on a gapp-free rom, as omni, syberia, crDroid, etc

but not have signature spoofing. I like this rom cause i like the ui and can run paralel apps.
So there is no possibility to run microG with oxy or hdyrogen os? I need Line app.
If you know a solution would be nice if you can post a link.

Hydrogen nowadays Is Google free, but it is designer for china market (there are other services inside, at the end It Is worse)
There are also app to make parallel space (i used Island in the cast)
but there are also different client for the most common apps, so you can simply use 2 of them on the same phone account
(example WhatsApp + FMWhatsApp, maybe cloud backup will not work, so it's up to you ti select the best way they fit your needs)
You have to make experiments by your own, because you only can check what is the best option for your usage

I have a Hydrogen phone and i first wanted to change it to oxygen but after some tweaking it's going well.
First install feem : file transfer program works on every os ... http://feem.io ...it has some advertising but the best there is.
i've got rit of all the chinese software on the phone.
installed a new gui ... nova http://novalauncher.com/
installed acmarket : another market not associated with google.
now you can still install google software if you want to.
i even deleted the chinese browser and
mmm ... ok deleting chinese browser... but pay attention with alternative store
official apps in the PlayStore some times have malware or they sold your data to thirthies...
i wont immagine what can happend on a store where "common people" contributes on It...
let say, Google can make mistakes, anyway it's better than not checking at all... (it"'s a general discussion, i don't know feem in details)
You also are able to use Lineage OS and just don't install Google Apps. There you go. There is also F-Droid as a source for apps.
Hello
I did pick an Oneplus 8T on Prime Day, its still sealed and
last 3 Days i collect some Informations about Android / OxygenOS and about Custom Roms and Debloat Stuff.
I had an Samsung Galaxy S2 as my Daily Driver , at this time Android was really Bad
in the end i Root and used Cynagon with Android 6? idk anymore.
since those Days i used Apple Devices as my Daily Driver, i try some breaks from the Apple ecosystem with an P30 Pro and S10+ ( for an Month ) but switched back to iOS cuz Privacy issues.
And this is the Reason why i start the Thread "Privacy" is important for me.
So how is the Privacy and influence from Google to Track and Spy at you if u:
1. Create a New Account
2. Turn everything OFF u can
3. Dont use Google APPĀ“s / Services ( Not that hard .. if coming from Apple )
4. Debloat with ADB
and using maybe only the Google Playstore.
Thanks for any helpfull comments
Lineage OS is officially supported on the 8t, for privacy i'd flash that and not use gapps. You can get your bootloader unlocked easily and be off the to races
Or just use oos and debloat all of Google apps with xxxnolimits magisk ROM
You can use Android without creating a Google account. You can also disable pretty much every app.
You do need a Google account to use the Play store. So if you want to install apps without an account, just download APKs from the internet.
Just curious, what kind of information do you not want to share with Google? Or Apple for that matter?

I don't believe so. Why?
I know this is not the only post in regards to the recent Google Pay and Wallet updates not working on rooted phones, and maybe I missed something, but I don't think I'm the only one who has seemingly tried everything, only for it to do the same thing. What I've tried:
Installing Displax's SafetyNet mod
Adding all Google Play components and Pay and Wallet to the Denylist
Editing the dg.db database, including manually and with the GPay-SQLite-Fix module
Changing the device's fingerprint to Android 10 (I have a Pixel 5, so I changed it to a 4 XL, which is the newest similar phone to mine to support Android 10) and Android 11.
Side note: This causes CTSProfileMatch to fail for me, so I see no point in changing it.
Installed DevOptsHide and Hide USB Debug Mode Xposed modules, as one suggested on the Github issue for kdrag0n's SafetyNet Fix.
That was all I could find regarding this issue. It's worth noting that once I edited the dg.db file, it would say that it meets the safety requirements until I try to add a card, at which point I can't, and the safety requirements are no longer met. If somebody can find or share something I don't know or haven't seen, I would greatly appreciate it. It really sucks how hard Google is clamping down rooted devices; it seems like they really don't like it. Anyway, have a good one, and stay safe!
Today all app developers as Google and/or OEMs without any difficulty are able to detect whether their device's OS got tampered or not: you can't prevent this.

So are you saying that I'm SOL for now until the community comes up with a fix? It seems like what worked a month ago is already obsolete.
