Hey guys I don't know if I should post this here if I'm wrong PLZZ guide me. So, I just bought a new phone and it came with stock android 11.
It uses quickstep as the default launcher but I want to use some other launchers such as nova or iOS launcher. But when I use them it's ok but when I set them as default home then also it's ok but when using other launchers and I press the recent button or swipe up or hold it says quickstep has stopped working. And then my phone restarts to a recovery screen witch says android filesystem not found it has 2 options try again and factory reset when I click on try again it restarts the phone and what I see is quickstep is again the default launcher . PLZZ help o want to use gestures or 3 button navigation with custom launcher. Hope u understand my problem.

By holding down the home key to bring up the recently opened apps menu my phone resets the default launcher and will ask me to select one the next time the home key is pressed.
I don't quite know why it's resetting my default. I'm running Touchwiz 3.0 w/ Launcher Pro (although its done this same thing with any launcher).
Any help is always appreciated.
Been having a problem selecting a default launcher for the last couple of days. I have adw launcher ex installed but cannot set it as the default launcher because when i press the home button nothing appears just a dark screen fades in but no options to select a default launcher.
I have tried installing apps such as homeswitcher but the problem still persists.
Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? As it has effectively meant i cant use adw or the home button anymore without the dark screen appearing..

If in the dock, take it out. If out of the dock, good. Go into settings, and enable rotation if it isn't already. Now try rotating the screen from landscape to portrait, and back again. Now try hitting home. It's a budget fix for the browser selection, so figure may work for your home issue.

I was using the google launcher, not touch wiz. I entered UPSM and pressed the home buttom, at which point it asked me what default launcher to use. I selected google and now I only have access to limited apps. It's not the usual UPSM launcher.
When i go into settings only a few options are available (WiFi, Bluetooth etc) but nothing to allow me to exit Ultra Power Saving Mode.
I've tried flashing firmware via Odin (latest 6.01) but I'm still stuck in UPSM.
Does anyone know of a way out without without having to factory erase?

Only solution I found was to wipe my phone
This worked for me: using package disabler pro, I uninstalled Google Now Launcher. After closing the app, I got back to the usual UPSM screen and was able to disable it.
Another way to get around this is to side load any other launcher and to choose samsung launcher when you open the new launcher.
Go into settings switch default launcher.
Go to the menu and find google app hold that app and move to the top of the screen and put that in the app info and tap Force stop now press the home button now it will again ask for the default launcher and now select touch wiz. That's it now you phone back to normal.
Hi. I have the Chinese variant (AL00). In general I'm quite happy with it. One thing that I would like to change is the function of long press of the home navigation key. Currently, long press (with a swipe up) of the home key brings up HiVoice which as far as I can tell only works in Chinese. Is there a way to change the function of long press to start up another app without having root? I'm not interested in rooting at this point (at least until Xposed is up and running for Nougat). Also, I currently do not want to convert to international version as having Chinese version may have some, albeit small, advantages. Thanks!
Not sure if you have it on Chinese firmware but you can change it to google app,under application settings,click the settings and choose default app link.

One more note. OK google works fine in itself. Just don't want the current functionality given to long press home.
Have a look at Nova Launcher. I haven't tried what you want but it does have lots of options.

Thanks. I haven't used Nova Launcher for several years. Currently using Total Launcher. I'll take a look.
I tried Nova Launcher and it does allow me to reset my home button, but, I did not see an option to reset long press of the home button. Anybody know if and where there is such option on Nova?
Just trying to make my new tablet with China ROM feel like home, and want to use my normal launcher "Action Launcher" couldn't figure out how to override the gesture, so turned on the navigation buttons, but the home button does do anything. Anyone know how I can fix the home button, or override the home gesture?
Also the quick tiles, I notice that it doesn't use standard android quick tiles, so the apps that usually have quick tiles don't show up. Can I add more tiles?
Tablet did OTA update to 13.0.364, and I do have L1 windvine. Anything else I should do?
Nova Launcher works great for me. You can then set it to the default launcher. I keep the Lenovo gestures and have added a home button to the home screen.
