Launcher Problem - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Been having a problem selecting a default launcher for the last couple of days. I have adw launcher ex installed but cannot set it as the default launcher because when i press the home button nothing appears just a dark screen fades in but no options to select a default launcher.
I have tried installing apps such as homeswitcher but the problem still persists.
Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? As it has effectively meant i cant use adw or the home button anymore without the dark screen appearing..

If in the dock, take it out. If out of the dock, good. Go into settings, and enable rotation if it isn't already. Now try rotating the screen from landscape to portrait, and back again. Now try hitting home. It's a budget fix for the browser selection, so figure may work for your home issue.

[Q] ADWLancher EX crash...

Hi,
I newly installed ADWLauncher, got a theme and was customizing it.
Then when I changed a folder name, it crashed (The application ADWLauncher EX (process android.process.acore) has stopped unexpectedly).
It crashes as soon as it is launched. Worse, because it is set as default launcher, it restarts when I "Force close" it and crashes again.
There is nothing I can do but to press the Force close button.
Can't do anything from computer because I can't turn on the USB debugging mode...
Any help?

Hmm.. You can try a factory reset, but that'll make you loose al your data on internal memory.

He can't go to settings because the launcher is crashing. Press the search button, and search for market, and launch it from the search. Then download another launcher and then when pressing the home button it asks again which launcher to set as default.
If you don't have search button, you can try long pressing the home button, and going to last used apps. If there's either settings or market you can download another launcher, or delete adw from settings.
Hmmm, I think you can start the phone in safe mode, turn it off, hold the menu button while turning back on. Then go to setting, manage application, adw, and clear default.
Or you might have to take off the battery to completely shut it off if you have Fast boot mode on. Reboot like usual to exit safe mode.

[Q] Help with ADW Launcher Long press Homescreen icons

I'm having a problem with my ADW Launcher which is currently driving me mad and I hope someone is able to shed light on the problem I'm having.
I am using Streakdroid 1.9.0 update and after factory reset and flashing the rom (installing ONLY Gingerbread), I install ADW Launcher (free) through Android Market.
After installing ADW Launcher, I notice that when I long press on the icons on the home screen, there is no EDIT, MANAGE, REMOVE etc menu. Just a simple trash icon on the bottom of the homescreen to remove the icon appears when I long press on an icon on the homescreen.
The problem is, I remember I used to have a menu with EDIT, MANAGE, REMOVE etc previously with my ADW Launcher when I long press on the homescreen icons. How do I bring that back?
Another difference is that there is no more Lock/Unlock Screen option when I hit the menu button on homescreen anymore.
Anyone can help or shed light on this anomaly, PLEASE HELP. It's driving me crazy just wondering how I can get back the menu!

anyone have problem with adwlauncher?

After updated to 3.2 , Y adw launcher ex stops working .. when i press the home button the whole screen just go grey until i press the back button... the launcher didnt load out too. What should i do?
Seems to be a consistent issue across 3.2, stock and rooted... not much to do other than wait for the Dev to update ads (or go back to 3.1)

Go Launcher EX

I've heard alot about this app and finally decided to try it out. I have a few questions that need answering:
Is there anyway to import my home screen (apps and widgets) setup into it? I tried Desk Migrate but it didn't work.
How do I change the Home button's action to go to Go Launcher EX? When I press it the screen just fades, even after I cleared the defaults for Launcher.
Why does the Browser screen fade? When I try using it the screen fades, so I have to use another browser (maybe connected to the Home button problem?)

Can of a weird issue on Android, anybody knows how to fix?

Hi Guys, I don't even know if I should post this topic in ,,General,, I hope it's the right category.
The issue is the following, I had installed APEX launcher for quite some time, and what happened is that once when I pressed the home button on Samsung Nexus (the most bottom button that brings the home screen) it asked me which program should perform that (the APEX or the default one) by mistake I pressed the default one and clicked to remember settings and never ask again, so.....as you might guess, when APEX is on and I whenever I click this ,,home button,, APEX switches off and I see the regular desktop....I don't know how to associated APEX with the home button again...I tired reinstalling APEX but it doesn't work....any ideas guys, I would be really really grateful!!!

Go into your application settings go to your default launcher and hit clear defaults.
