Hi everyone,
I'd like to know which app or service is responsible for the sound played when the phone is connected to a charger.
Is there any way to find that out?
The reason is that the sound is muted during DND, which is not what I want. So I thought I could set the notification to override the DND if I knew in which app to look.
(Android 11)
Thanks
I think that's under notifications. Use Tasker. You can make a profile to disable "Do not disturb", emit the sound and then turn on "Do not disturb" again.
With Tasker I can actually just emit the sound without disabling and enabling DND, because Tasker can be set to override DND. But this would be overcomplicating the matter.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm looking for a solution to my problem, not for a work around.

Hi everyone,
I've been looking for an app that activates the whitelist callers when changing my profile with NFC.
I would like to use an app that lets some people, say family, call me even when my phone is in silent mode. In my case this is only when I sleep, or when in a meeting. I would like to activate this app using a NFC-tag. I use NFC al lot, it's an easy way to change profiles.
When I tap my NFC-tag 'Sleep', it should change the profile to silent and it should activate the whitelist contacts ringer modes, in case of emergency.
When I tap any other NFC-tag it should disable this app and switch to vibrate / normal profile.
Is there any app capable of doing this?
I hope someone can help me out here!:good:
Hi,
I have my phone always set to "Do not disturb" with exceptions active ( alarm and calls from everyone ).
This means my phone is always silent ( no vibrate and sound ) for everything except calls and alarms.
Here is the problem:
I have one app "apager pro" that gives me a sound alarm that I also want to receive. I could achieve this because this app has a build in functionality
to "always play alert sound and ignore sound settings of the phone".
With this setting this app always gives me a sound alarm. But I want it be be silent between 10pm and 8am.
Does anyone know an Xposed tweak or app that allows me to also override the "do not disturb mode" for a specific app but only on a specific time.
Again what I want to achieve: Calls and Alarm clock always vibrate and sound. Everything else no vibrate and sound. And then this single app vibrate and sound but only at specific times.
Does anyone know an xposed module or app that can do this ?
Sometimes, during the day, I set my Phone with Android 7.1.1 to Do Not Disturb mode. However there are some notifications that I don't wanna miss, and I mean that I also want to hear the notification or alarm sound.
So I went into Settings > Applications and for my important apps (Reminder [1] and Whatsapp) I went in notification settings and I enable "override do not disturb" for both apps; furthermore I disabled these apps from battery optimization.
Well: despite the fact that I set these apps to "override do not disturb", when these apps receive/display a notification with a certain sound when DND is active, I only can see them with the LED and I can't hear any sound (but the notification is however displayed also on the lock screen).
So is a matter of no sound played. All is ok when DND is not active.
I miss something or is a know bug?

Sorry for the noise: I reply to myself, since I found the solution (imho very hidden).
On the DND icon in the bar menu i double clicked and some options appeared: I choosed "Priority only", so the apps which are set to "override do not disturb" now are able to play a sound when the phone is set to DND.
I hope that this solution could be useful to someone.
Hello all,
I use Smart connect to put my phone into 'Do not disturb' over night while i sleep. However, since one of the last updates i have noticed that this does not mute notifications, it sort of pauses them until the phone reverts back to normal sounds and then all the notification sounds come through.
I just want to check if this is just me or is anyone seeing this strange behaviour. It didn't used to do that and its a pain when my phone jumps back to normal and i get all sorts of different apps pinging away at the same time.
Cheers
Bump....
Anyone else noticed this?
Yes, the same thing happens on my phone as well. It is to be expected though, or do you want to lose all your notifications?
In case the sounds it makes after dnd is over annoy you, you have to set the notification/call volume before you go enter dnd, as that previous value gets restored in the morning.

Thanks for the reply, good to know its not just me.
The thing is I get up at 04:30, so when my phone comes out of dnd, I sometimes get a dozen notifications just pinging away. The 'correct' way I want it to work is that the notification appears but it just silences the notification not wait until dnd is over to give them all at once. Thanks, I will have a play around with notification sound.
You can adjust the behaviour of DND on quite a granular level. Go to Sounds -> Do not disturb -> Notifications -> Custom and choose "Don't turn on the screen", "Don't blink light", 'Don't wake for notification".
You can also adjust who gets to call you during DND and whether you want Alarms to sound.
Most of my time my phone is on vibrate, as I work in an office and don't want to disturb people. But in vibrate I don't get notifications if my phone isn't right next to me, like when it's plugged in to charge.
Is there a way without using xposed to allow certain apps (Accubattery, phone calls, messages, gmail priority, hangouts) to make a notification sound while the slider is in vibrate? I have an inkling it can possibly be done through a combination of DND and the slider, but am unsure on how I would configure it.
Thought or suggestions?
Edit: Also, possibly Tasker or Macro Droid could do it? If so, how?

Tasker shall be easy.
In Tasker create a profile - select apps you want to have sound.
Then in Task, make a new task and select audio and set it to whatever you want..
You are done!

It would be an pro's job but yeah I have seen people linking Tasker with each and every possible event going on your device. But I am not one.
Nitin bro?
