I hope you can help me!
Best regards,

Hello? Is anybody out there who can help me with the Nokia 2.2?
OK, no help from no-one here. I want to delete my xda-developers account. How can I do this? HELP!
1. IMO you started this thread in the wrong forum - this forum is labeled "General Questions & Answers":
You should have posted your issue in forum labeled "Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting"
2. To get your XDA account removed ask XDA moderators for this.

I am confused as to where requests for assistance should be posted. Do I see a forum -- and a subforum?
We have XDA Assist, which is unlocked to new posts, and then we have Post New Thread, also unlocked and accepting new posts.
I read the documentation for the main forum, and thought I'd post my assistance request there. I only saw there was another area after I posted in the first area.
Or does it make no difference? Sorry, but if this information is already available, somewhere, please give me a link. Couldn't find it!
It depends on your problem. The nature of XDA Assist is to help users in looking for the right place for their issue. For Ex. for your phone, we do not have a Sub Forum Defined. So you'd go to
> Android Development and Hacking
forum. Within it, you can either post in Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting if you have a problem you can't solve. Other wise if its a general discussion on the phone, you can post in Android General
Does that make sense ?

Well ... still confused.
Maybe the threads XDA Assist and Post New Thread, are in fact one and the same?
They seemed to be separate, but perhaps I should take note of the first few posts in each, and see if they're the same?
Anyway, I posted in the XDA Assist thread, and it seems to be working -- I see my other post has one reply.
No one else seems confused, so I guess it's just me. :silly:
Different question from different thread answered, both threads may be closed.
So, I'll go to --
> Android Development and Hacking
and then, since it's not a problem needing troubleshooting but just something general on how Android works (I doubt it's phone specific) I think I'll put it into 'Android General'.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! And the instructions for this forum say the moderator will close the thread when the advice has been given, so please feel free to do so, now.
Is there a Kernel compatible with HTC One m7 (Sprint) running LiquidSmooth v3.2 (KitKat 4.4.4) that would allow for overclocking and wake gestures? Inquiring minds must know! Thanks!
Hi,
I see from your previous Assist thread on a similar topic that you know the rom thread. That would be a better place to ask for help with the rom.
Or look through the development section and check out the available kernels and their features and compatibility.
> Sprint HTC One > Sprint HTC One Android Development
Please understand also that XDA Assist is here to help members navigate the site and find the correct sections to post in. We're not here for support or advice. And you have found your device section.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-htc-one
So you should find things for your device there, or ask for help in its Q&A section when stuck . ?
Thank you for understanding.

Apologies. And thanks for setting me straight.
Hi,
My Daughter has lost her passcode for her tablet, there is not a specific thread for this tablet, could you tell me which thread would be best to ask for help in?
I am guessing it is simply a factory reset required.
There is an external reset button, but it doesn't seem to do what it says on the tin.
There is also an external off/on, and a home button.
Phil
Hi,
I can't find anything relevant on XDA for your device and issue, so you can ask for help here..
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!

Hi Darth,
Many thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Sods law came into force and I found the answer to question else where.
I have posted the answer to my problem here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/and...cheerful-android-tablet-t2965719#post57333348
In case it is of help to anyone else.
I don't know if there is somewhere to put it on the site as a sticky, so that it can be found more easily in future?
regards
Phil

Awesome! ?
About the sticky, very few threads are stickied... And certainly won't happen for a less popular device. But a search on it should find your thread just fine!
Thanks for contributing! That's what XDA is all about. ?
Thread closed.
How do I start a new thread besides XDA assist?
Dude, you're kidding me right? The same way you made this post, http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/...23-1-0-690-t3061678/post60311568#post60311568. If you don't know where your device's forum is just Google YourDeviceName XDA. Then figure it out from there. It's not that hard.
@edaka03 Please read your Private messages from the other Moderators.
You have been told several times your device forum is found here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3 = All sub-forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/help = Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting.

Welcome to XDA. The first rule here is to search before posting. As you can see above, there is already a thread dedicated to this topic.
Also, per the sticky at the top of this section, questions go in the the Q&A, Help and Troubleshooting section, not the General section.
Hope that helps
thats great thanks. appreciate the help
