[Completed] [Q] blaupunkt 800 - XDA Assist

Hi,
My Daughter has lost her passcode for her tablet, there is not a specific thread for this tablet, could you tell me which thread would be best to ask for help in?
I am guessing it is simply a factory reset required.
There is an external reset button, but it doesn't seem to do what it says on the tin.
There is also an external off/on, and a home button.
Phil

Hi,
I can't find anything relevant on XDA for your device and issue, so you can ask for help here..
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!

Hi Darth,
Many thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Sods law came into force and I found the answer to question else where.
I have posted the answer to my problem here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/and...cheerful-android-tablet-t2965719#post57333348
In case it is of help to anyone else.
I don't know if there is somewhere to put it on the site as a sticky, so that it can be found more easily in future?
regards
Phil

Awesome! ?
About the sticky, very few threads are stickied... And certainly won't happen for a less popular device. But a search on it should find your thread just fine!
Thanks for contributing! That's what XDA is all about. ?

[Completed] Where do we post, in the main XDA Assist forum, or its subforum?

I am confused as to where requests for assistance should be posted. Do I see a forum -- and a subforum?
We have XDA Assist, which is unlocked to new posts, and then we have Post New Thread, also unlocked and accepting new posts.
I read the documentation for the main forum, and thought I'd post my assistance request there. I only saw there was another area after I posted in the first area.
Or does it make no difference? Sorry, but if this information is already available, somewhere, please give me a link. Couldn't find it!
It depends on your problem. The nature of XDA Assist is to help users in looking for the right place for their issue. For Ex. for your phone, we do not have a Sub Forum Defined. So you'd go to
> Android Development and Hacking
forum. Within it, you can either post in Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting if you have a problem you can't solve. Other wise if its a general discussion on the phone, you can post in Android General
Does that make sense ?
Question that started this thread is answered, may be closed.

Well ... still confused.
Maybe the threads XDA Assist and Post New Thread, are in fact one and the same?
They seemed to be separate, but perhaps I should take note of the first few posts in each, and see if they're the same?
Anyway, I posted in the XDA Assist thread, and it seems to be working -- I see my other post has one reply.
No one else seems confused, so I guess it's just me. :silly:
Different question from different thread answered, both threads may be closed.
So, I'll go to --
> Android Development and Hacking
and then, since it's not a problem needing troubleshooting but just something general on how Android works (I doubt it's phone specific) I think I'll put it into 'Android General'.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! And the instructions for this forum say the moderator will close the thread when the advice has been given, so please feel free to do so, now.

Hi there,
Yes, flashing new ROM, stock or custom will repair that error.
But for more relevant answers, if you don't tell us what device we talking about, please post in this forum :
> General discussion > Questions and Answers
Good luck

[Completed] CM9 Cannot take photos - "SD card full"

When I open the camera app I get an SD card full error message and I cannot take any picture. I have free space on my SD Card. I have also done a factory reset, tried another SD card, still no luck.
Can anybody help on this issue?
Hi,
We need to know your device make and model number so we can point you towards help.
Thanks!

Have you tried a different camera application? There are several good ones on they Play Store. If they also don't work, then your Rom has a problem.

Please read the two stickies at the top of the Assist section and discontinue replying to threads here.
Only trained Recognized Contributers with the blue Assist badge may reply to these threads.
Thank you for understanding.
I am very sorry. I was happy I remembered there was the XDA assist and I forgot to read the rules.
My phone is an LG Optimus Sol (e730). I am running CM9 nightly "9-20130929-NIGHTLY-e730", android version 4.0.4.
Worked fine until some days ago. I don't remember doing anything in particular to it, other than use it like I usually do.
I hope I didn't do anything wrong this time.
Hi,
The above post was directed to the quoted member, not yourself. ?
Unfortunately I can't find anything relevant on XDA for your device and issue, so you will need to ask for help here,

[Completed] [Q] Lollipop for Asus TF103c?

Hi all
Just got myself an Asus TF103C and have been looking at other posts here like http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/asus-transformer-pad-tf103c-tablet-root-t2802995/page5
which helped me to root it.
However I have been reading elsewhere that perhaps a custom Lollipop ROM would help things work a bit smoother.
I have found a couple of pages which claim to outline a method taken from the pages of XDA (although I am so far unable to find it on here) and linking to file downloads that seem a bit suspect:
http://www.rom-lollipop.org/mp3-0/asus-transformer-pad-tf103c-6409.html
and here:
http://lollipop500.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/upgradeupdate-transformer-pad-tf103c-to.html
Can anyone please advise me if these are likely to be legitimate or otherwise?
Many Thanks!
Hi,
I can't find anything relevant on XDA for your device and Lollipop. You can ask about it here,
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
I won't comment on files you found on other sites, other than saying flashing anything is always a risk that will be on your shoulders , on XDA or other sites.... And no one will take responsibility for your device. Flash at your own risk. If it makes you uncomfortable, then don't do it. That's all I can say. ?
Good luck!

[Completed] Nintendo 3DS progress

So I just wanted to check very quickly on the progress made on porting 3DS emulators for android. Around 2 to 3 years ago, people said that android phones weren't powerful enough to have one, but now I believe they may be (I can't be too sure, it's just an assumption).
I basically want to know if it is possible to have a 3DS emulator for android at this point of time.
I'm not asking developers to start working on a 3DS emulator. That's their choice and they can do it whenever they want to.
I'm just asking if such a thing would even be possible.
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. I'd suggest you post your question in the general Android q&a section here:
Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
XDA Assist isn't a general helpdesk area, rather our purpose is to point people who don't know where to post in the right direction. So go ahead and ask your question in the q&a section and hopefully you'll get the answer you're hoping for.
Good luck!

Sorry, I didn't know about that. Thanks a lot.
Quick question, if I want an answer to my query, should I post a new thread in the Q&A section or can this post be moved there? Thanks for your help.
You can go ahead and post a new thread, I'll close this one.
Good luck
