Oneplus 8 Verizon Widevine L3 (HELP) - OnePlus 8 Questions & Answers

Hello,
I have purchased my phone from Verizon a year ago, everything is good. However, i discovered that streaming resolution started to look not as expected. I checked and found that my Widevine cert is L3. I tried many methods such as enabling biometric, rebooting..etc. deleting app, deleting cache and data. Nothing worked.
Anyone has a solution?

Netflix will not stream video. Error 12001?

I just bought this TF700 today. I updated all the firmware and everything. It does not stream netflix. Loads netflix. Will not stream a video. I get error 12001 every time. Is this a known thing with this device or is it the Android version or what? This is one of the primary reasons I picked up this tablet. I'm contemplated returning it tomorrow and would like to know if there is some kind of work around. I just can't find any good info on it.
Thanks,
Wes

Just thought I would update on this. Some miraculous thing occurred and it just works now. I uninstalled and rebooted for about the 40th time and Netflix is working now. I have no idea what the issue was but it was something...
If anyone else has this problem, this is what I did this last time.
I went into the settings > apps and force stopped netflix then uninstalled all updates. I then rebooted. Then I went into settings > apps (make sure it's on ALL) and found the netflix thing that comes on the device. I force stopped it and then rebooted again. At this point I downloaded the Netflix updates, rebooted one more time and ran netflix. Now it works. Hallelujah!
I had a problem with netflix when I factory reset the tablet and when I tried to sign in it kept saying I enter wrong username or password..... Did it 10 times and nothing, tried to log on to my netflix on the computer and it worked fine... Only thing I can think of is I forgot to update netflix when I factory reset.. maybe that was the problem...

[Q] YouTube App Troubleshooting

Hello guys !
I'm getting trouble with my YouTube App. My phone (LG L5 II) came with YouTube 4.5.17, which works perfectly. I wanted to have the new features, so I updated it from Play-store (to 5.17.6) and it stopped working, videos kind of charged but never playbacks. I tried everything. Signing in and out, clearing cache, deleting data, rebooting, cleaning ram, cleaning junk, deleting dalvik-cache, delete all app cache, virus checking, even Youtube troubleshouting, checked if played in 3g and so on. Nothing worked.
Then I had the brilliant idea that if I installed an older version of YouTube it may work, so I took my older phone (same brand and model but the screen is not working) and copied the YouTube app (5.7.38), that was working in that phone and has the feature I like (the one you can search while watching videos) but it didn't work, the same problem with playback. I tried everything again, but again nothing worked. BTW I'm using the latest software version for my cellphone. But again, nothing works. I'm desperate, What can I do?
Images attached show my software version and two screenshot with the issue :c
Please help meee, I'm desperate :c
Thank you in advance !!!

Lost Hotspot and Tethering in Settings Menu

My phone was domestic unlocked. I was having a weird bug so I thought a software reinstall with Samsung Switch (PC) was a good idea...Worst decision I've made in 2016 so far! After the phone restarted, all Sprint apps were gone, and some others disabled like Facebook, Lookout and Instagram and the Hotspot and Tethering settings no longer appear. I went to a friend asking for some help: Various reinstalls with Odin yielded no results. GT idone needs root. A rooted phone is a no no for me as Banking apps and even Pokémon can't run. Factory resets and another "repair" with Samsung Switch are useless.
Where did the carrier apps went? Also, all the Sprint APNs no longer appear. Is there a NON ROOTED way of getting it back? We tried RTN, then reflashing with Odin with no results. I'm on the latest Marshmallow update (Came out yesterday)
Who is your carrier TELCEL?
Not sure what that is, actually I just look at your profile. What is your fw version?

Oxygen OS 10.3.7 update Google Pay stopped working and not play certified anymore

Hi I have a UK version of OnePlus 6 bought from O2.
Not rooted or any other things done to it. Working fine untill the system update from last week.
Now my Google Pay isn't working as it say my phone is rooted and the phone is not at certified on Google play anymore.
I have tried clearing all app date for Google service, Google pay, even the framework and no luck.
Any suggestions?
In the same boat. I've tried every fix I can find on the forms and it's not working. Guess I should have just stuck with 9.0 as they never pushed an OTA...

Not Receiving SMS/MMS but can send them and data/calling works fine

So here's the story:
I bought my new OnePlus 8T Android 11 Oxygen OS 11.0.6.7 for Total Wireless (Tracfone on Verizon) and got a new sim and everything worked fine then decided to unlock bootloader and root magisk (which i did) and then suddenly everything works again BUT I cannot RECEIVE SMS and MMS but CAN SEND them, Data works fine, Calling works fine. I tried getting a new SIM card, switching SIM slots, resetting phone, changing APN's, everything you can think of. Besides unrooting of course. Still all the same. So I'm wondering if rooting/unlocking bootloader effected anything or if anyone else has the same issue? or has any knowledge of such issue?
Have you checked Carrier Services? I had to downgrade as it borked messaging.

Click to collapse
how do i do that?
Go to the Google Play store, find Carrier Services then uninstall (it may be uninstall updates). Once that's done, turn off automatic updating for Carrier Services (via the Play store). Then restart your phone.
