GPS battery saving mode -- without high precision? - Google Pixel 4a Questions & Answers

Hello to the community!
I would like to ask if there is any chance to solve idea about enable battery saving mode so switch off high precision mode?
For example at the past I know this possibility was on XDA MadOS custom ROM on some devices Android 8 ago.
Thanks for any feedback. Pixel 4a looking as a great small devices still in this time & basic factory ROM as well.

Lollipop 5.1 Upgrade - Post your experience

Yesterday evening I successfully installed new factory image i.e. Lollipop 5.1 on my Nexus 5 D821.
Here I am mentioning my experience after using it for almost one day:
1. Overall device performance in regards of speed is same as it wan in 5.0.1
2. Some graphic changes are there with new icons.
3. New shortcuts introduced for WiFi and Bluetooth settings.
4. In camera application there is one black dot appearing in middle. I haven't tested it with any other camera application. (I will update later)
5. Battery performance is poor as of now I am using, even poorer than on previous ROM.
Does anyone want to comment or share there experience?
1. Battery Improvements, now i can usw my GWatch again, in 5.0.1 it drains the phone battery empty in about 4 Hours -.- now same percentages in phone and Watch.
it will be better if we keep the discussion in the existing 5.1 update thread..
So far the OS itself feels a lot better, but I left my phone over night, sync off WiFi on. Location off. Lost 30% in 7 hours. I had a wake lock the entire night. So my experience? After almost 48 hours of using this, its rubbish.

[SOLVED] [Q] What is maximum "sleep after" time?

Hi guys, one short question for 1+ 7 Pro owners: Could you follow up what is maximum time available in settings, for display to stay turned on without user interaction, on 7 Pro stock ROM?
I mean on System Settings > Display > Sleep After , as on my custom ROM on screenshot attached.
The thing is that I need this info before decide to buy or not this phone for some developing tasks and I have no where to check (need to have even 30 minutes as most of nowadays phones, some phones has this option for 10 minutes max unfortunately).
Many thanks in advance.
I don't think I've got anything enabled that increases this even tho I am rooted.
Just get caffeine. It doesn't even need root, just an adb command. The app tiles on the Play store has it
Thanks guys, this is what I've looking for, I've marked thread as solved.

Android 10 unstable

I recently bought an S10e. Lots of improvements over my S7 - but I'm finding Android 10 to be very unstable. About once a day it gets into a mode where apps keep crashing and reopening.
I have turned off all the power management features I can find, but this still happens. Rebooting fixes the problem for a while (i.e. a matter of hours through a day or so).
The phone is an SM-G970W with the 1 Feb 2020 update (G970WVLS3CTA3).
Has anyone else encountered this kind of problem?
- richard
I have the same build and model with the same security patch update for Feb 2020. No issues here just waiting on one UI 2.1 is all. It's a pretty rocking phone.
Cheers
@Blandhotauce - Thanks - you give me hope that I can resolve this! I have reset the phone and am installing apps from scratch, rather than use Smart Switch (as I did the first time around).
Do you use any apps that require special permissions, such as AccuBattery or GSam? I had both installed before, and I'm wondering whether that may have led to the instability.

No I didn't use any apps like that. I use that standard array of Google and Samsung apps. Messages, gallery, pretty vanilla stuff.
Not many third party apps so that could be a reason. I have, however, installed an IPTV APK.
@Blandhotauce - Do you have any of the battery saving features turned on, such as
- Adaptive power saving
- Adaptive battery
- Put unused apps to sleep
- Auto optimization
- Optimize settings
Thanks

Under battery in device care I have power mode set to optimize. But adaptive power saving is not on.
Under app power management right below the power mode option I have both the adaptive battery option and put unused apps to sleep selected on.
That's pretty much it. I have a young family so that keeps me busy. I wouldnt say I'm a power user or anything like that but I watch YouTube and read a ton of articles and respond to emails throughout the day. I also make use of WhatsApp and Google duo video calls during this period of self isolation.
With that said, I get pretty much a full day of use out of it. By the time the kids are in bed and I'm ready to call it a day I'm at around 20- 30 percent.
Is the phone perfect? No, but I like the smallish form factor with the really decent specs. I expect to use this device for at least another 3 years. I've even prepared to replace the battery when it starts to become sluggish. There's helpful YouTube videos on what tools and methods are required for a battery replacement. Just can't find a modern phone in this form factor anymore.
Cheers

Issues with LOS and questions regarding other ROMs

Hello,
I've been using LineageOS 18.1 on my OP7 Pro for about 2 weeks, and I would like to share some of my issues with it and hope an educated person can send me in the right direction.
Issues I have with LOS so far:
1. Random crashes where my phone will reboot, probably once every day/every other day
2. Physical notification slider doesn't mute media volume when set to silent
3. Battery life seems worse than stock OOS on A11
4. Forced 90Hz refresh rate instead of stock adaptive potentially meaning worse battery
5. Vibration intensity way too strong and no option to change it
Probably forgetting some others but that's the gist of it. Ifbyou think there's a ROM for me including stock then please lmk. I briefly used HavocOS but it felt too Google-ly to me. Still open to try it if y'all recommend it though. Thanks
