The holy grail?
I guess this is something like we know from Phone...
OEM unlock...
But we have no Firmware to check...
IMHO also Factory unknown...
I was never able to understand fully in Tizen world...
Maybe 1 day in Future we can learn what it is...
Best Regards
Is it possible to change the firmware of the watch that was intended for China to the global version with Google services?
Anyone try the Bootloader unlock option?

Yeah, just be aware that it will reset your watch.
Is the bootloader then really unlocked?

Seems like it, but I have no method to test it.
Just want to clarify the process to boot into recovery for anyone who finds this thread:
Press and hold both buttons
Device will reboot. Keep holding buttons.
When logo appears, release both buttons and quickly press the upper button 3 times.
In the initial menu that appears, short-press the buttons to navigate up/down. To select item long press the upper button.
To reboot into recovery press the upper button to scroll down to Recovery option, then press and hold upper button to select the option.
In the recovery menu, use finger scroll to navigate up and down and swipe right to select item.
If you unlock the bootloader can you root the watch?

You have been told at least three times it's not possible, that won't change by posting in different threads...

Hello,
First, I am completely new to rooting, flashing etc.
Second, I just flashed Coredroid, and want to try another custom ROM. However, when I go to Settings > Applications, I don't see the "Fast Boot" option. So, Volume Down + Power won't work!
Could you assist on this issue?
Thanks.
you dont need fastboot.
copy the rom you want to your phone
hold down the power button until the menu comes up
hit restart
it should give you 4 options
choose recovery
in recovery, install from sdcard
point to the new rom you want to use
confirm
it will flash, once done, reboot
done
If that doesn't work, you can reboot to Recovery within Rom Manager as well.

The option to turn off fast boot is under "power" in the settings menu
something like this

No! Nothing like that. That is not how you turn off fastboot.
my thoughts are that all roms should come with fastboot turned off by default anyway, so if there is an issue, it isnt a complete chore to get in.
thats why i will always turn it off with my releases

Thank you for your reply. Actually, I didn't have any options under restart button. I found the "Fast Boot" option under "Power" settings, so I disabled it then Vol Down + Power worked for me to boot in recovery mode.

Thanks for the advise. I, now, use the Rom Manager whenever I want to boot in recovery. That works like a charm!

If you are using XDA App or Tapatalk, long press on the post and select :good: Thanks Its easier to give "Feedback" in this manner than make an additional post.
this is an old thread but I struggled with it as well - fully charge it, hit those 3 buttons - try at the same time but if not try volume up and home and then on/off button and hold it until it reboots the phone.
In my case, if you keep holding it the phone will not turn on.
If you release on/off switch it will turn on but can happen that you will come to system in "safe mode"
For me works just holding those 3 buttons until it reboots (phone was turned off then you start it with buttons, keep holding and when reboots release them) and recovery should be shown. If doesn't help try to take out sd card - if you plug it back in while in recovery my b5512 can load it - sometimes with error but in general, it can.
I think main conditions are to have it charged do 75%+
and unsure but to me it looks like to have a good stable sd card.
All the best

adb reboot

Hello,
I just bought a Huawei Mate MHA-L29 from Ebay but it unfortunately is locked and is asking for a PIN after a restart. I tried doing the factory reset with the power + volume up button but that didn't change anything unfortunately. Is there any way to fix this?
Thank you!
Ask the ebay seller for the pin? File a claim with PayPal!

Stock Recovery is part of Boot partition (boot.img) on most devices with a/b systems
How A/B Partitions and Seamless Updates Affect Custom Development on XDA
You may have heard of Seamless Updates before. It involves something called "A/B partitions." What is it and how does it affect custom development on XDA?

Charge your battery 30% or more.
Turn off the phone.
Press and hold the Volume Down button and the Power button at the same time until the phone turns on.
Press the Volume Down button until you see Recovery mode.
Press the Power button to restart in Recovery mode.
If you see an Android robot with a red exclamation mark, press and hold the Power button and, while holding it down, press and release the Volume up button.
