Development CUSTOM KERNEL FOR A326U/U1 - Samsung Galaxy A32 5G

This kernel has been tweaked very minimal.
Most importantly ive applied some tweaks to the kernel that will permit you to change the TTL and modify the Iptables.
Download the .zip
Flash it in Magisk.
Reboot to system.
You will get a vendor complain everytime you poweron or reboot , ignore it. .
Fixed^^
Added Support for Future ttl module with dpi bypass. (ipset)

Hope you guys enjoy this!

Hotspot is now not recognized as such by carrier and runs at the full speed of the phone plan. Forget Hotspot limits your carrier put in place.

Wow this is pretty neat but I tried to install as magisk module, magisk doesn't recognize it as such. Following your latest aio is it better to install it that way through Odin?

Also will your aio root the phone and how can I tell if I have ui 1? my model is A326USQU3AUE7

[Kernel / boot.img / STOCK][8/22] - V3 ** Unsecured** VRALG1 kernel with init.d

As the name implies this the unsecure stock kernel boot.img
You can use the adb remount command to push files to system now!
YOU MUST HAVE AN UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER FOR THIS! See here for more info: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30274025&postcount=317
If you dont know what this then it may not be for you. This is more so developers can use in there ROMS.
No need to ask to use it, just give credit if you do.
Download HERE
Chang Log
v3 - Corrected incorrect adbd in /sbin for proper colors when using screen capture while in Dalvik Debug Manager.
v2 - Added Lib folder for that need it.
New clean ROM soon then?

Would it be too much to ask for an AOSP kernel (ICS)? I'd do it myself, but I don't know much about kernels lol

Well, this is more for developers.
It just unlocks the /system partition so you can push files. I mean, yeah, it will be in the next CleanROM but its not urgent from a user perspective.

This is a Stock kernel. I just modified the RAM Disk to remove security and to add init.d support and set up the script so it can be flashed.
I didint build the kernel. Its just stock.
How come your user name is in italics BTW?
Not sure on run parts... Need to check. Unsecure is still a go!

I know it's stock. I was just wondering whether you were able to get an unsecured AOSP kernel for all of the AOSP ROMs out there. It'd also help with Sense 4.
To get your username in italics (RDs only):
Go to User CP
Select "Group Membership" from the side bar
Select "Recognized Developer - Identify me as a member of this group"

To make it unsecure its just some changes in the RAM Disk. Im sure if the AOSP guys are out they know how to do that. If not they can reach out to me for help but they tend to know more than I do about kernels and all

This is mostly for developers that want to do things that having a locked boot.img normally stops you from doing. An average user will gain little value...
But lets say you were making a theme and had to "push" files to the /system folder you can NOW do that with this boot.img. It makes Dev's lives a LOT more easy now, lol

yes it does, copying files to my sdcard and then moving them with root explorer, or packaging them in a flashable zip and copying to sdcard and flashing everytime is frustrating. specially if your doing it every 10-15 mins.

Tell me about man, tell me about it!
And I confirmed init.d support is functional as well!
I know this is just a simplification process for devs and it helps skip the extra step of moving files somewhere else first then move to /system with root explorer if you're rooted, so please don't ask if I'm a dev, the answer is: no, I'm not. I would appreciate if someone could only answer this question without getting into other details. I would like to know if it would harm or break anything if I have VRALF2 rom and radio/stock kernel and I flash a VRALG1 kernel, but keep the rest as it is? Would this newer kernel work with my older version rom, or do I have to flash the whole package first? I basically don't want to renew my rom to the new G1 version since there is no apparent improvement (it's actually worse) over the older F2 version rom, since it downgrades certain things.
Thanks

When you say no improvement are you talking the Modems? If you are only flashung a rom and havent changed the kernel then it would be the same as just flashing the g1 modem with a different rom correct.
Hey scrosler how can I identify that the flash worked. The ROM booted normally but in the kernel name I don't see any change.

I'm not talking about the modem, I'm asking about the kernel, if I flash THIS unsecure (G1) kernel, but otherwise have ALL F2 stuff (modem, rom, etc), will it mess up anything? I think u misunderstood my question, I don't want to flash a G1 rom or modem, just the kernel, because the modems are same, so no improvement there, and the F2 rom is better than the G1 rom, so I'm keeping everything as F2 like it was, but flashing this G1 kernel. Will that be compatible/ok?
Try it??? If it fails just restore from backup?

Well, you can try it but my experieince tells me that you may loose LTE and WiFi because yo dont have matching modules. The modules (aka drivers if it were windfows) hare specific to a kernel. If you took the /system/lib/modules folder from a G1 ROM like mine or nosympathy and pushed them in I bet it would work just fine. But why on earth are you on older build?

Thats easy... Before you flashed the boot.img was USB deggign turned on? If not it would be turned on now.
If USB degging was already on or not on turn it on... Then... connect phone and wait for the connection to finish. Then type "adb remount" (assuming you have ADB handy) and it should say "remount succeeded" If it says operation not permitted then it did not take.

What difference did you expect? Its a STOCK kernel and will behave like a stock kernel except give full and true root access to the device. Its not for the end user its for developers. Of course this ramdisk will also allow us to start modifying and shutting off services, tweak things at the kernel level, etc... But right now, this is just bone stock with init.d support and root level access to the file system via ADB.
Hope that explains it some.

virtual xposed

I really really miss exposed and I really don't want to root as besides exposed I personally have no need to. I just can't seem to get virtual exposed up and running. Along with not finding and good hot to videos on YT. I get it installed and everything just no luck with actual installing module for some reason. TIA for all help or input
if you root with magisk there is a module for xposed framework but it looks old and it says it won't be updated and I haven't tried it

If I rooted I wouldn't need to run virtual or magisk I could just run Xposed. I just don't want to root as it's easier for OTA without root. Especially seeing how often updates are coming for this phone since it got released.

I understand your desire not to root, but the only downside to rooting wousl be security, and magisk keeps security intact. Edxposed (unoffical Xposed for Android P) works perfectly fine in magisk.10/10 would recommend. Plus magisk has methods for maintaining root after OTAs

I bought the unlocked model for root truly but I haven't rooted a phone in 3 years since my LG g3 and g4 and for some reason I can't seem to wrap my head around easiest and safest way to root the OP7 . Don't want to break it. Nicest phone I've ever owned.
There's a tool by the guy who maintains TWRP for the phone. It's called tool all in one and can unlock and root your phone with a simple GUI. OTAs are almost as simple as stock, just 2gig files instead of ~500mb. It's just download from oxygen updater, settings local install, TWRP retention script, Magisk inactive slot install, reboot

Yes, but there's EdXposed which is compatible and works flawlessly with Safety net. Not all modules work but that's an Android Pie incompatibility issue, not an Xposed problem.

It was amazingly easy. You just enable developer option, select enable OEM unlocking, back everything up (the phone will get factory reset) and advanced reboot, hook it up to your computer, reboot to bootloader, and then fastboot OEM unlock, reboot your phone to make sure the warning appears and reinitialise the system (since your phone did just get reset), reboot to bootloader, fastboot boot twrp.img, optionally flash the twrp installer, and flash Magisk. Done. Rooted. After installing OTAs, but before rebooting, use the install to slot B option in Magisk manager.

I would assume it's in the kernel or something. Make sure there aren't any extra partitions. It shouldn't have done any hardware damage. It has to be something not set straight in Odin. There are only a select number of partitions actually touched by Odin.
So one would need to find out what other partitions get touched or modded. I have restored before Kali and had a bunch of partition errors I assume was due to locked bootloader but even after restore still had those errors. Eventually a total format and restore cleared them. But your unlocked bl and modifiable kernel makes it different than my case

Having some issues with andrax, just wants to keep installing things on my phone. this is my first time using it.
It always has to install stuff it's downloading all the Linux apps , or you can install termux and so it via that too

General USERDATA_AIO_A326U

Download and unzip files
Reboot phone too Download Mode by holding Power+VolDwn+VolUp as phone starts up whilst USB connected to PC
Open Odin then load the AIO in the USERDATA SLOT along with the A326USQU3AUE7 AP , BL , CP , CSC.
Then hit Start on Odin.
Wait for phone to boot by itself into TWRP , when the TWRP Terminal pops open just type multidisabler and it will continue its automated process
Phone will automatically run format data/cache , will flash twrp , custom kernel for ttl tweaks, magisk , safenetfix , bluetooth pairing fix , wearable pairing fix.
Heres the AIO
I have the AP where can I find the BL, CP, CSC? I don't see them in the AIO I could mistaken.
I really just wanna try the ttl magisk module but I can't install it do I have to extract zip first for module? Or do I flash in twrp?

No. You might run into an issue where pairing keys arent saved, so you have to re-pair every 24 hours or restart of phone, but this is fixed in 30 seconds with Bluetooth fix.
When i first rooted I didnt have the issue. When I started to dig in, screw things up, and restore I got the issue.
Everything works great now!

Quick question is it possible to flash in Odin with just the ap and aio? Do those extra files need to be flashed and what is there purpose specifically?

Question Port "ready for" for non stock rom (lineage, evox, etc)

Does anyone know if it will be possible to port the app and the desktop mode of the stock rom to external roms? i was using evo x A13 and everything works great, the performance and battery are much better compared to the stock rom and the customization is excellent but the only thing missing is the desktop mode of the stock rom. Trying to connect via hdmi, only a navigation bar appears on the screen and it cannot be used, could a developer solve this?

It's the same thing when I used Samsung, VoLTE in Custom ROM, because it's an Exynos processor it can't work in Custom ROM except Stock, it's the same thing with For Ready, it won't work unless Stock, only if some blessed figure out how, but I doubt there's no solution
You can use Termux / Linux distro as your desktop experience. Anyway, in developer tools you can activate desktop mode, but it's very poor
Recently a Magisk module came out of a Ready For port, and it's in beta at the moment, if anyone wants to take a chance to see if it works or not, it's here:

But it's a Magisk module, it won't install otherwise it's really bad
I installed mine on SparkOS, as the system partition was full, it stayed at 0B and the app crashed

Yep, I installed it on Magisk. The system goes to bootloop. Sad, but maybe it will be fixed or something ...
