Motorola Smart assistant will fix it, and you'll need it to get the file for magisk to modify

Hey, so i want to root my Moto G XT1033 16GB dual SIM running android 5.0.2.
I've bricked a smarthone before while trying to root it, so i want some help to root my phone the safest way possible. My warranty has already expired.
Obs: my phone is from brazil, i'm not sure if that changes anything.
I've attatched a screenshot if any other info is needed.
If you have a custom recovery installed you can flash it from there. Go here and grab SuperSU and follow the instructions.

You must unlock the bootloader before flashing a custom recovery otherwise it will not install
And do no download twrp for moto g from twrp's official site, it still have bugs

If you are on stock ROM that came with your phone then if you have stock Motorola apps and Motorola options in settings then you have retail variant and if you don't have these apps and settings then you are gpe
Will a international version rom that already has root built in work on att variant as the att variant has a locked bootloader and international variant has unlocked bootloader? Aka a rom made for 955F that already has root built in.

how would you flash it without root
So I take it the root method for the 955f wouldn't work us side then cause of the locked bootloiader?

Wouldnt work - 955F doesnt use the snapdragon chipset, and even if it did you would need custom recovery to flash the rom
I would just need custom recovery to flash root method cause there's only 2 methods right now international side 1 is the untested supersu and the other is the majisk method. The majisk method doesn't have any odin flashable tar files. Then as far as flashing the Rom I could just use flashfire.

again the international roms will not work since they are not built for the USA's snapdragon chipset
same issue with last years S7 -USA models could not flash international roms
Has anyone ran into the chance of seeing any custom recovery for this phone yet?
Unfortunately, I have no such experience
However, I successfully rooted the phone with Magisk

How did you do that since the current way is to rename the apk and flash in a custom recovery?
1 Unlock bootloader
2 get stock firmware from program, forgot the name is the recovery stuff for moto
3 extract boot l.img
4 install magisk app and click install in the app, choosing patch boot.img
5 open adb adb reboot fastboot fastboot flashing boot boot.img
Viola rooted. I don't see any twrp, roms or anything. Could try a different variant I know moto g stylus twrp is really moto g 8 pro, or something like that. I'd back up with the recovery program tho, it has saved me when messing with flashing roms. GL
I also got root albeit tricky since trying root on the MetroPCS version will make the screen lose all touch functionality.
What good is root on this phone with you can't do anything with Android 10 being Read Only. I've been reading up on that and even in custom recovery it still is Read Only. That's the problem. So yay we got root but can't modify anything in it.

Main reason for me to root would be to bypass Hotspot limit via MagiskHide Props Config, and Screen2Auto AA mod/hack to send all apps to Car Stereo.
Does this touchscreen bug affect the T-Mobile version of the Ace 5G? I haven't ordered one yet.
As said in the title, I can't start my v50 in fastboot, the command 'adb reboot bootloader' reboots the phone but it just goes to android. i'm using the latest korean firmware. Has anyone had this issue before?

Got it! Twrp is running and I was able to flash lineage OS! Perfect =)
Thanks for all the help, I'm not sure I could have done it without your help. By the way, do you happen to know a good version of gcam for the v50?

If you're on OOS 11 then you can use TWRP.
You cannot use TWRP on OOS 12.

I'm on android 11 but hardware version says 13
Is there any reason to use the boot.img over just twrp flashing magisk? Seems a little complicated to me and also there's no boot.ing for the kb2007
If TWRP wasn't available, then patching boot and then flashing is the only way to root.
What do you mean by "hardware version is 13"? Screenshot?
Yeah I'm on 11 nvm.
Do u know where I can find patched boot.img for the tmobile kb2007 model if twrp don't work?
And if it does I can just flash the magisk zip and be rooted

No ideas about finding a patched boot image.
In TWRP you can just flash the Magisk APK.

Let's you unlock bootloader like a normal OnePlus 8t after it's converted.
