I use to do multi rom stuff on my galaxy core duo, but that was a long time ago. Does programs are outdated and probably woun't work because things changed a lot from back then and now. Are there any new apps that will still work or reverse engineering will have to be done.

Ok after I have installed all sorts of different versions and tried all the registry tweaks with no luck, i installed the following version. I also bought a version off of handigo and that was a waste of money.
The version I have installed that currently works is:
1.6.19965 (search for it and you will find it)
I am 99% sure I put all the registry tweaks back as when they didn't work I reverted them. Plus when you reinstall MVC it resets most of those anyway.
Another catch.. I am using a 6.5 ROM!! I have this ROM installed.
I am so excited, I depended on this feature a lot as I ussually have auto-answer set and then before the phone picks up I know who is calling. I can literally go the whole day without ever looking at my phone which keeps my phone lasting longer!!
Another catch that could be making it work is that I found a vlingo cab that installed and I couldn't get that to work so I uninstalled it. The vlingo uninstlall doesn't come close to removing everything as I found out when I went throught the registry.. So maybe something vlingo put in is making it work..(or something it replaced) If anyway is in the same boat I would be willing to help them do some steps that i did to find out exactly what is making it work, but I do not want to redo my phone to figure it out (sorry)...
Update
Redid my phone with the updated version of the rom that I previously mentioned and installed 1.6.19965 without any other tweaks and the call announcement works..
I like the idea of booting to different roms on the fly. The support lists almost every HTC phone but ours. I loaded and manually set all parameters but it force closes every time I try to install a zip to the rom slot.
I've uninstalled and wiped several times but to no avail.
No response to emails as of yet.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
A lot of devices need modified code to get this up and running, the Devs for BM are going to start working on the shift soon.
Also to find your own personal problem about the FC's you may want to check /sdcard/BootManager/log.txt and/or your logcat while running.
Even if you fight past that, you'll still have issues with the scripts modifying the boot.img. Testing for the shift should start soon, official support will be sure to follow =P
@Emails, you can also try their forums. They are really dedicated to getting this to work for everyone.
Hi All.
I was trying to use some apps to emulate touchscreen in order to play with my gamepad. The problem is that My tablet (A generic one... Known here In Argentina as NOGAPAD 7 "White edition") seemed to not have root access. So, I decide to give it a go on SuperOneClick (So far I've tried with my LG Optimus ME Succesfully, so I was pretty confident about It).
Imagine my surprise when I discovered that SOC said my tablet was already rooted, and aked me to re-root . "Well, might just try and see if it works" I said. The proccess was completed, but when I checked the proccess notifications, It was two fails regarding the install Of SuperUser. It was something like SOC couldn't write data, or something (Sorry for the missinformation, I forgot to capture a shot of this in the moment)
Rebooted my tablet, I tried some "root-requuired" apps. Didn't work. I was pretty upset about then. I searced a little bit deeper, and stumble across this app called "UnlockRoot".
"Excellent, let's try". Guess what, The same "already rooted" thing again. I surpased this and tried to "re-root". This time the device rebooted itself, and SuperSU was installed, so I figured out that this time it had worked. Wrong. Allthe apps didn't get the root access they where looking for.
My specs are:
• Proccessor: A20 Dual Core (1.2 Ghz)
• RAM: 1 GB
• OS: Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2
I'ts something wrong with what I'm doing? Or the tablet? Please let me know, and if you need some caps I can manage to get some. Thanks for reading.
Looking forward to your response
Hello!
I'm playing a game that I have two accounts for, and have dual booted my phone to accomplish this.
However the time between changing the two accounts (rebooting to other ROM) is quite long, so I wondered if there's any ROM that are exceptionally fast to boot into?
Or is there a way to boot into some void space on the phone and just run that single application? (requires wifi)
EDIT: Forgot to mention; I have an Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505
Try a de-odexed ROM as they are much faster than regular odexed ROMs but remember no matter how good the ROM or the phone is things still take time to boot no matter what
Im new to all this so pay no attention if its nonsence...
My S5 G900f has a qualcomm snapdragon chipset, that doesn't support monitor mode, which i believe means that it doesnt support packet injections or packet capturing (driver related?)
using the dsploit.apk for things like session hijacking, replacing web page images of a target and using script 'injection' to inject custom java script into a target web page, all sounds like things you'd need monitor mode to do. and if it is then i was able to do it with my S5.
I dont know a lot about coding or how it all fits together and communicates with the hardware, so i may sound completely stupid, but this has done my head in for ages, so why not get it out there.
1. when i attempted to upgrade from my first custom rom, i had a bit of trouble, softbricked my phone and then flashed the two roms in various, alternate, wipe, format and install combinations until it finally booted to set up, and i stopped panicking. but this caused features from the first rom to appear within the second rom.
ie: 3minute battery mod was installed through a add-on zip along with the first rom and nothing to do with the second at all.
2. inconsistencies within the file system, like file names that were apps included with the first rom.
3. dsploit.apk was bugged and crashed every 5 or 10 minutes. then would seem to glitch or stutter for a couple seconds before correcting its self and accomplishing its pen test.
4. i also remember watching green text in the terminal as it failed to connect or ID some part of the system but continued to retry in quick succession until it glitched and worked. (i think this was a similar type of app i was trying out at the same time but instead of GUI stutters, i could see the text rapidly stuttering and glitching.)
4. the dsploit.apk worked for me back then, even though it was temperamental. ive downloaded the apk a couple times since with various roms and ive got no where with it...
was thinking maybe different aspects of the two roms had been filed or grouped together and created unstable triggers within the software, allowing it to briefly communicate with the chipset. i may be way off, but ive been sat here waiting for someone to solve this issue forever, i thought id share my thoughts, on the off chance it turns out to be something and i can finally get my S5 into monitor mode without OTG cables and other unwanted auxiliary components.
thanks in advance
G Carter
Do a clean install of you ROM, and please, don't panick. If you want to have a good time flashing ROMs and stuff, panicking is the last thing you want to do, it will cause stress and stress can lead to not being careful enough so stuff like this happens, well, always, if you are experiencing issues do a clean install. Just boot into recovery (I recommend TWRP) and wipe everything except external sd. Open ADB and sideload the ROM (or, if you have enough memory on a flash drive, plug it into your android and flash it from there) and then Google Apps.
