Hi all. I have the Canadian Huawei P20 (EML-L09 from Koodo) and the bootloader is locked. Also, USB debugging was never enabled on this phone. After an OTA update my phone is stuck on the eRecovery screen with the following 4 options:
1) Download latest version and recovery
2) Wipe data/factory reset
3) Reboot
4) Shutdown
I've tried all of the above options and the phone always take me back to this eRecovery screen. When I tried option 1, it tells me "Package info failed" or something.
I've searched around and read that I can flash the Service firmware using the sd card method, however, I am not sure which version of the service firmware I need to get? Could anyone of you with the Canadian version help me out? Is it the C900 version, if so, where can I download it since I can't seem to find it anywhere. Please help and thanks in advance!
EDIT: Just realized that the P20 does not have an sd card slot...
Have you tried to download the relevant firmware on a computer, and connect to device to the computer? Thinking usb otg...
I haven't done this on a P20, but on a nexus 6p.

Thanks for the suggestion, Kaherdin! I will try it out and report back.
So far, I've tried flashing the boot, recovery, cust, and system partitions via fastboot without any luck. It always came back with remote: command not allowed. I am guessing that's due to the bootloader/FRP is locked?
When you're frp is locked you can't use ADB/fastboot.
You're always end in erecovery? Just to make sure, you have unplugged USB cable? When you select latest firmware you've entered the right WiFi code?

My spontaneous comment to you is; Call Huawei and let them/service partner fix it.

Yes, it always boot back into the erecovery screen and the USB cable was not plugged in. When I selected latest firmware I've made sure the WiFi password is correct but it gave me the " Failed to download package info" error.

I've tested the OTG dload method and it gave me the "Software installation failed." I will contact Huawei and have them fix it since I purchased the phone only 2 months ago. Thanks everyone for the help!
That's why you should always go for the full package download. Unless you did, then that's very unlucky. hope youll get it fixed asap!
Hello,
I bought a used Moto G osprey, european version with 2GB of RAM.
It only boots into fastboot mode, normal boot or boot into recovery don't work. When I try to start the phone normally, it gets stuck at the "M" logo, restarts after a few seconds and does the same again. It's bootlooping.
What I already tried:
- Going back to stock according to https://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/general/guide-fastboot-flashing-factory-t3187750 throws a 'Preflash validation' error, probably because the installed system is a newer Android version
- Flashing TWRP 3.3.1-0 via fastboot works, but I can't seem to get into it after installation. When I try to get into recovery mode through the fastboot menu, I come back into the same bootloop.
Any help on what could be going wrong?

No. It's really strange.
I have some experience with flashing, did some on a Galaxy S, S2, S5 and HTC One M7, but never encountered such an error.
Could it be an hardware failure? If so, how could I confirm this?

I think only a Moto Service center could help but have you tried these Motorola USB drivers just in case?

Well, I'm using Linux, so not using any drivers at all.
How do the Moto Service centers work if I do not have a guarantee?

Make sure you have the OnePlus USB drivers installed on your PC. They're contained in the folder titled "L2" in the archive in the post you linked.

Had the same issue when I unplugged the phone accidentally during the qualcomm download process in MSN tool. When you plug it in maybe thinking that the phone is off (EDL mode is barely noticable when it's booted in this state and seems like off) when msntool is still enabled or on start the download starts no matter what.
When you get stuck on param preload it's 99% a bad or old driver. I learned this the hard way.
What you have to do is open device manager and delete all Qualcomm 9008 devices (also delete the drivers when the prompt is asking you). You may need to click on "view" and "show hidden devices" and click through all usb connections.
When done, install this Qualcomm USB Driver. I found it when I had the same issue, and since I've installed it, it works perfectly.

I hosted it on my own server since I get HTTP 503 error on AFH and I am not even sure I can upload there without registering. It's not worth the hassle since I am not even really a prosumer .
Hope that helps you fellow troubled people.

Thank you for this, never really was able to use MSM due to the param preload issue... Tried many times. Will give this a go.
Thank you for sharing.
I moved the share of the file to a more long lasting location on my server and this brokee the link in the Quote from @soka. Make sure to use this one. Maybe some veteran could mirror it on AFH or the likes?

You never relock your device until you know it's stock and bootable. Can you get into fastboot?

I actually managed to boot to fastboot, change the bootslot and luckily 10.0.0.3 was released which allowed me to install and wipe out TWRP (which I didnt realise got installed, I thought I set it to only boot to it not install it) im guessing this is why it went into the corrupt state.
Hi everyone
I have same problem could you help me pls
hey, I have the same issue and I don't know how to solve it.
phone run out of battery, I connected to charge it and when I started it up, I am getting the message "Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and will not boot". This error is looped, phone reboots every few seconds and immediately goes to this message.
I bought the phone in Europe and used it as is... (no mods, no ROM flashing, no fiddling with the Bootloader or the OS.
Now, what is interesting is that I can get into fastboot (by pressing power + vol up + vol down) but I have no idea what to do next. Tried all the options in the menu (recovery mode, restart bootloader, start, power off) and all of them lead to the same message above (your device is corrupt).
if while in fastboot I connect the phone to a PC, and run fastboot.exe devices in command line it does recognize the phone (I can see the serial number).
Any ideas what I should do next?
