That is a good deal with the dock as the best price right now for the dock is $45.

Is it Sears themselves that is selling the dock, or is Viewsonic sending one out after purchase?
Just curious, as I haven't seen the dock at any Sears store I've been to lately.

Rebate Form for dock
The rebate form says Jan 2nd through the 8th. They do have a 14 day price guarantee so if you bought in the last couple of weeks you should get the lower price.

Where did you find $379 price a/o 1/2/11
I looked at Sears . com and it still shows $399 w/ rebate for dock.
Can you advise?

When I tried earlier this morning, I searched for Viewsonic, and the search results showed 399. When I clicked on the item to go to the product page, it showed 379.

that is weird, from google search to sears = $379

Thanks .. still don't know if I will take the plunge, I am like everyone else on the fence with CES pending.
It comes down to HOW BAD DO I WANT ONE NOW .. am I willing to wait 3 mos+

FYI-
Those of us that got in on the "free dock" rebate at Sears on Thanksgiving are now being asked to pay $10.50 shipping &handling. If it is the same rebate it is through US Merchants not Sears.

I ordered mine on 1/1/11, do i get a free dock?

I guess you could always order one from sears - and then just return it. cut your UPC and send in that receipt? or will they check against stock?

UPC is the same on all boxes.... No serial numer on the boxes, so you could just return it unopened. You can't return a box without a UPC code, they do check for that, so you would have to have your old box.

serial number is above the upc code.. not that anyone at sears is gonna look though

Right, but if you return the new one, the receipt doesnt have a serial number so as long as you have a reciept dated 1/2-1/8 + any UPC/Serial, your golden

Silly thought, mayhaps...
But it says a "COPY" of the UPC symbol. Every other rebate I've had has said specifically to send the UPC from the box or to cut out the UPC, etc...
If you can just send in a copy, you don't really need to cut the box or swap boxes or anything of that nature at all.
I would think, anyway.

Rebate information...
Given all of the work the developers have been doing it is nice to be able to add a small contirbution!
I just called the rebate company. Told them I bought my VTab before Christmas and could return it and repurchase it today to qualify for the rebate. I was told that they would honor VTablets purchased from Sears prior to the offer. That I did not need to return it and repurchase to qualify for the rebate. They said they would honor it with my original purchase date.
There are two rebate forms. One on Sears.com that Sears created in-house. The lady at US Merchants (rebate company) said the Sears form forgot to note the $10.50 shipping and handling fee that is required. She said to fill out the rebate as outlined, include copies of your receipt, UPC, etc. and a check for $10.50 (made out to US Merchants) and they will send you a docking station.
I have attached the other rebate form that was origninally made up by US Merchants and can be found on the Sears online rebate site. You can avoid the hassle and just use the one attached.

Don't bother ordering from J&R if you expect it fast.

Don't bother with J&R. I ordered a Grey 32 last night when they said they had stock. This morning at 8 I called to upgrade my shipping to next day morning and they said I would have it by 10am Monday. Great. So two hours later they call to say there was confusion on my card (an AMEX giftcard) and we straighten that out and they again say it will be here Monday by 10am. 3hrs later I go online to check the status only to find that they tell me it is backordered. I call and they say they are transferring some from the store to the warehouse to fill internet orders. But they cannot tell me if mine is one of the orders they are going to fill. SO then, 7hrs after they say it would show up Monday I get a call telling me that mine will not be going out today. They apologized it would be awhile before they could get me one.
So here is the problem. You have an internet sales system which is not connected to inventory. Then you have some bassackward processing and inventory system for the folks on the phone such that they cannot tell how many they have vs how many the promised. THEN you wait until it is essentially too late to order with anyone else to call and say you cannot fulfill.

I was thinking about it, but didn't.
They were offering next day store pickup. But decided to go with best buy, because of current 18 month interest free financing .
Glad I did. Ordered Thursday around 3pm, and it shipped out UPS, in evening.

Well I just called to confirm that they canceled my order and they told me they had shipped a device. Log on to their tracker and it shows that the order was submitted and was awaiting shipping. I'm angry they cannot get their act together, which is keeping me from ordering one from somebody who can deliver on their orders.
Oh well. Lessons learned.

Email July20th Morning = item shipped = UPS ground ( with tracking number) ....> checked @ that that time = said was picked up in NY....nothing else
Miday July20th = got TXT msg from UPS = saying "DELIVERY 1Zxxxxxxxx = ON DELIVERY to address"
called my wife-to-be = keep an eye out for it..................
She called 4pm = saying DELIVERED ...........
so top marks for J&J ................. sorry , just the facts amaze me << NO TAX< NO extra shipping costs = was free ship> and I got $55 off sticker for DOCK+ tablet GREY 32GB

Just got mine and sent off the rebate for the dock and external battery/charger. Guy at Costco said it typically takes only 4 weeks to get the accessories. This deal is good until the end of the year it seems, so dig in. The Photon Q is backordered online and I got the last one at the Costco I went to the other day, so if you want in, get your order in soon.

FYI, the out of stock is only online, you can call or visit your local Costco for their stock.
Also, the price is officially $249.99 with a $210 instant rebate, but they charge you tax on the full $249.99, so it's really $39.99 + tax on $249.99.

So this is for the phone, accessories, and NO CHANGE IN CONTRACT? Looking like an awesome deal! I will have to have my cousin pick it up for me if no change in contract is required.

If you are/were currently due/eligible for upgrade, and are already on a premium data plan (one with the extra $10 charge), then it is no change at all to your plan except for re-upping on another two year agreement.
One change that I encountered however is that I was still paying $8/mo for TEP (insurance), and according to the kiosk guy at Costco it's went up to $11/mo. Going to call Sprint soon and see if I can argue back to my $8.
Sprint charges $36 for the activation of the new phone, which Costco will issue you an account credit for. It may take a billing cycle or two for the $36 to credit back.

I preordered on 3/30 and my order is "in progress" with expected delivery by 4/21.

Originally pre-ordered on 3/30. Canceled it to change it to the S8+ on 4/5 and as of my typing this, mine still says, "Order Processing." I'm picking mine up in-store, so not sure how that'll factor in me getting the device.

I just got that coupon as well. I believe it does come off the monthly payment, but since this discount is exclusive to Best Buy, when you pre-order, it's at full price (when I looked at my original pre-order order, it's at $849.99), but will be adjusted when you get the phone. At least that's how I understand it.

I'm still processing, to be delivered by 4/21. I placed my order on 4/10.

I ordered on 04/03.
Hold for $839 placed on my AMEX instantly.
Went away after a few days as expected.
I'll know when they pull the phone and slap it in a box for shipping instantly because the AMEX app will ping me when the charge goes through.
I specifically ordered this to be shipped and delivered by 04/21 because I don't feel like dealing with the crowds on release day at BB.
AND, I also remember a fiasco where some went to pick up their phones and the delivery did NOT make it so they had to wait until the following Monday.
Imagine that!

Due to lack of Note 7 inventory for my "day 1" preorder I questioned several BB PEEPS. I have been told in store by both Samsung Experience rep and long time BB cellular employee that they have over compensated with their orders this time around. Sunday/weekly flyer guaranteed availability on release date if preordered by 4/20.

Thanks everyone for the updates on their devices. I'm sure BB will come through as they did 2 years ago with my s6 edge plus, but I always get paranoid that mine will be the one that doesn't show up lol.
I will have to see if I can track down this $100 coupon in my email. Maybe they process it as a down payment which knocks $100 off of the phone?

I placed a pre-order for the S8+ online (3/30) for pickup in store. I am on Verizon and under my documents page on MyVerizon it already shows the new edge agreement with the total amount financed at $716. BestBuy FTW on the initial savings, just have to suffice with potentially waiting until 10am Friday vs early Verizon shipments.

Yeah, I pre-ordered in-store. Didn't know that you don't get a coupon if you pre-ordered online. I just assumed everyone who pre-ordered from Best Buy got one. Funny enough, when I logged into my AT&T account, I see the discounted price for the phone.
For those who got the coupon: I know it says that you need to print it out when you pick it up, but can you get away with them scanning the code from your phone?

Preordered on 4/1. Status online just changed from Processing to Preparing and am no longer able to cancel at all.
Though I'm concerned that the Get it by date has changed from Friday to now 4/25. Going to really be upset if it doesn't show up by launch day :crying:

Mine is still processing. If it's not at my house till Saturday(out of town till then) I'll go and pick up one where available and Ill refuze the package

Ordered mine on 04/08. Also was "awaiting authorization" next to my credit card number. I hope that is not an issue with the card and that they will charge the sales tax when they ship.

Mine has changed to preparing with "get it by Tuesday 04/25" as well.
I may order again to pick up in store on 04/21 and just cancel the other order.
This is ridiculous but being Best Buy, not surprising.

Just called Best Buy. Your wait time is 2 hrs 54 mins. I'm cancelling and trying somewhere else!

They just need the barcode visible for their scanner. On the phone is ok, I'm sure.

Oneplus 6 poor customer service

Ordered a Oneplus 6 on first day these were available to be ordered. The website was a shambles where it was clearly struggling with the managing of the orders as halfway they changed the payment methods. eventually after changing the payment methods and having to cancel the previous orders which were stated as not gone through successfuly and confirmed...these were still in the system...had to contact support to confirm that one phone was all that I have ordered...
in order of Oneplus 6 ...I decided to add a " Priority posting because I am due to go on holidays so wanting to make sure the phone arrives before to enable me to set the phone up etc... My wife orderded the same phone on the same day...she has not paid priority ...and she has received her phone yesterday, the 25th May 18 in the morning ...although not having paid extra for Priority and security ..she received the phone faster and had to sign for it which was as secured...?? When I contacted support... they eventually refunded me the priority extra I have paid of £2.99 but I feel that this miss advertising is not wright and I do not feel adquately compenstated....specially when this is the start of a relationship with a new brand.... I have been many years with Apple Phones and my family pursuaded me to move to android and Oneplus...before I even start with the usage of the phone I am already experiencing problems with the cusotomer support.... what a start....!!!!!????
