That is a good deal with the dock as the best price right now for the dock is $45.
Is it Sears themselves that is selling the dock, or is Viewsonic sending one out after purchase?
Just curious, as I haven't seen the dock at any Sears store I've been to lately.

Rebate Form for dock
The rebate form says Jan 2nd through the 8th. They do have a 14 day price guarantee so if you bought in the last couple of weeks you should get the lower price.
Where did you find $379 price a/o 1/2/11
I looked at Sears . com and it still shows $399 w/ rebate for dock.

When I tried earlier this morning, I searched for Viewsonic, and the search results showed 399. When I clicked on the item to go to the product page, it showed 379.

FYI-
Those of us that got in on the "free dock" rebate at Sears on Thanksgiving are now being asked to pay $10.50 shipping &handling. If it is the same rebate it is through US Merchants not Sears.
I ordered mine on 1/1/11, do i get a free dock?

I guess you could always order one from sears - and then just return it. cut your UPC and send in that receipt? or will they check against stock?
UPC is the same on all boxes.... No serial numer on the boxes, so you could just return it unopened. You can't return a box without a UPC code, they do check for that, so you would have to have your old box.

Right, but if you return the new one, the receipt doesnt have a serial number so as long as you have a reciept dated 1/2-1/8 + any UPC/Serial, your golden

Silly thought, mayhaps...
But it says a "COPY" of the UPC symbol. Every other rebate I've had has said specifically to send the UPC from the box or to cut out the UPC, etc...
If you can just send in a copy, you don't really need to cut the box or swap boxes or anything of that nature at all.
I would think, anyway.

Given all of the work the developers have been doing it is nice to be able to add a small contirbution!
I just called the rebate company. Told them I bought my VTab before Christmas and could return it and repurchase it today to qualify for the rebate. I was told that they would honor VTablets purchased from Sears prior to the offer. That I did not need to return it and repurchase to qualify for the rebate. They said they would honor it with my original purchase date.
There are two rebate forms. One on Sears.com that Sears created in-house. The lady at US Merchants (rebate company) said the Sears form forgot to note the $10.50 shipping and handling fee that is required. She said to fill out the rebate as outlined, include copies of your receipt, UPC, etc. and a check for $10.50 (made out to US Merchants) and they will send you a docking station.
I have attached the other rebate form that was origninally made up by US Merchants and can be found on the Sears online rebate site. You can avoid the hassle and just use the one attached.
Hope this helps! Great deal for everyone. BTW - I was just out on Sears.com and the price listed = $379. I'm loving my VTab! Thanks to everyone on this site - especially the developers! You ROCK!!!

The Staples paper has the tablet on the front page. The sears has it on pg. 33. Just thought I would let everyone know. Sears is still $379.99 Staples is $399.99.
I guess all the returns are not a concern as of yet to they are still advertising them.
I have attached pics of the ads. The Staples one is the most amusing from seeing all the responses on the forums.
I was at my local Staples yesterday for other reasons, and asked them on the status of the tablet (ie. did they have any clearance items, yet?). They actually told me Flash is working as of last week, and are advertising it as such.
I told them that they might want to called customer service because Flash isn't available (officially), yet. Also interesting that their AD shows this, as well. Do they know something that we don't?

They let you use this coupon? I tried to use the 10% off coupon (with the same terms) on 11/27 and the POS system blocked it. I argued that this wasn't a laptop or a desktop, but they couldn't (or perhaps wouldn't) override it.
That's the coupon . I asked the store manager and he used it because it mentions nothing about tablets, does state no desktops or laptops.
It doesn't have a bar code just instructions for the cashier to key in 10% discount.
Any chance of price matching to Sears and then adding a coupon?
Has anyone else noticed that the G-table is no longer for sale at Sears.com? Only via their outlet site. If you search their site for "tablet" or " viewsonic" it can't be located. If you Google it, you can find a link to Sears here you will now find a "currently unavailable " message its been like this since this past weekend.
I have also read on engadget that they were look to become a reseller of the Blackberry Playbook.

As of 3/15, the J&R Music website has it listed at $359 but if you go to the Buy.com website and search for viewsonic g-tablet, it will come up as $349 (sold by J&R/Marketplace).

So what did you say to persuade them to give you the refund?

man i shoulda waited for this deal instead of jumping on woot. The shipping at tiger is dirt cheap in contrast to other etailers and I could expect the product to be shipped same day. Now since woot doesn't have a real order history that shows order status, I have to basically watch it like a hawk to see when my order ships because my area is high crime. Most packages get stolen if not immediately intercepted.
Buggah, can't order online for international delivery.

Many thanks to the OP and all who posted here. I did pick up one from Tiger Direct today using the posted code.
I dithered all day on the Woot deal finally telling myself not to buy version one of anything. Then was at Best Buy and played with the iPad one and two which sold me on the concept.
With Woot charging sales tax and Tiger not I will actually save about $2.

Just to note, it's a few more states than that:
"We only charge tax in FL, IL, NC, TX, GA, SD and ID"
(I knew they'd have to charge tax in IL because they have a warehouse in the Chicago burbs and have a couple stores as well)
I have a G-tab which I bought around christmas time for sale. I just recently got the acer Iconia A500 so I know longer need it. Before I bought the Iconia, I had ordered the dock for the G-tab from merrimobiles which just arrived today, so the dock is brand new. The only thing I did with the dock was take it out of the box and confirm that charging and HDMI out was working properly. All of this for only $220 dollars. The screen has a skinomi protector on it, so the actual glass is in pristine condition. The back part of the tab has lots of scratches and you can see those in the attached photos(scratches are from me being stupid and sliding on the table when I set it down). Comes with the original box, charger, usb cable and zpad/G-tab Dock. Works great.
I restored the software back to stock which is 1.1-3389. Tab is still rooted and has CWM installed. I have a paypal account which I make payments with, so I am assuming I can receive payments, if anyone knows how to do it let me know. If I do not sell it within two days I will be listing it on EBAY. I just thought I would give the great folks at XDA a chance to get if first. Leave a comment of PM me if you are interested in it. I will also consider offers but not ridiculously low ones.

I sold my ZT-180 tablet and they paid me through my Paypal account. Log in to your Paypal account, and click on the "Request Money" tab. There you can enter the email address of the recipient, and the amount requested.
If the money is drawn from a bank account, there is no fee. If it is paid with a credit card, there is a standard fee plus a fee based on the amount. You can even purchase a USPS shipping label through Paypal.

Here we go again... That's a very good price for Tegra2 tablet with basically only two flaws: luck of Viewsonic support and a "Netbookish" screen.
But in reality, I care about neither one...
