I'm on the newest firmware with GSM and Google apps. Everything worked fine, but since a few days a problem with Google maps appears. I can open Google maps and type an address t and I can see the route. But if I hit the start button nothing happens, it looks like maps is trying to start the navigation but then nothing goes on. Does Anyone else have the same problem? Help? Thanks!

I just rooted my phone and got CM on my mytouch 3g. But when I launched the google maps app, and pressed menu, all that i see is a giant "Cancel" button. Nothing else. I remember before rooting it I had a whole lot more options. Is this a bug?
Whenever you open Google Maps for the first time after rebooting it works, but once closed it turns white. I've read somewhere on this forum that rebooting is the only way to fix it but I found an easier way. Press and hold the home button and then a list of windows will show. From there, press and hold the google maps window and remove it from the list. Re open google maps and it should work fine.
By the way I've extensively tested all ICS roms and I truly believe AOKP ROM has exceeded all expectations. It is definitely the most stable and definitely the fasted and smoothest rom available NOW. (3/15/12). Thanks for all your hard work.
press home, to go to launcher.
press home to go back to google maps.
fixed white screen for me without relaunching.

Yep.
All that needs to be done is going back to home screen, which leaves maps running in the background, then hit the icon again to bring it back up. Sort of like minimizing a window on your computer then restoring it.
For some reason after lollipop upgrade the long press of the home button takes me to a search page with Yahoo. How the hell did Yahoo get on an android phone lol. I really don't want anything to happen with the long press of the home button but if something does have to happen then Google Search would be preferable. I have the AT&T Note Edge. I looked through all programs and there is nothing for Yahoo listed.
Has anyone else encountered this on there device?
There seems to be a bug with note 5 back button and Gmail app. If you open Gmail app and tap and hold the back button for a few seconds, it makes the back button not working. You would have to force quit the app to close. Both my phone and app are up to date. I think tap and hold back button usually opens up the menu but because it's not configured in the Gmail app, it stops functioning. I've tested on 3 other phones and same issue. Does any one have the same issue?
Gmail version : 5.7.1059
I just found out that Hangout app has the same issue....
And so as Google Drive!
OMG i keep finding different apps with the same issue. Dropbox has the same bug
And Google photos ...
I still have the same issue after the latest OTA update!
Has anyone here tried replicating this issue?

Yes I have. It doesn't bother me much as you can just hit the home button, then hit the multitask button and clear the app that was frozen.
It doesn't bother me either. What bothers me is that Samsung hasn't fixed this yet. I've reported this issue long time ago.
I automatically feel the need to rebel against anything put on my home screen that I didn't put there.
I love the option to swipe left for my Google Now or long press home for my assistant.
But why do I have to have this Google tab on my home screen. I'm hoping I'm just missing the option to disable it. Please, please someone tell me that I overlooked it.
I use action launcher. But it does the shortcuts different

It won't work from the play store, but it still works if you install the APK directly. I just tried and both now cards and assistant works fine.
