I'm facing fast charging issue - General Questions and Answers

I recently installed derpfest 11 official beta miatoll on Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. Everything is working smoothly and perfectly except fast charging. My device supports 33W fast charging but while charging it says charging slowly and I cannot find any option for fat charging in batter option as mentioned in changelogs. Please help me.

I have the same problem with Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus. Did you try changing the way you insert the cable in your port? That can be the problem sometimes.

Slow charging problem

Hello all,
Since yesterday I have this very strange slow charging problem.
Yesterday I charged for a little bit my Mate7 from a car charger. The charger works and the cable also, used it to change my note3, note4, oneplus one and never gave me any problems.
I charged it for 10-15 minutes from a car charger which for a fact I know that it's working properly. This morning the battery was 8%.....I'm changing it for 4 hours and the battery is only at 55%?
Anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on what's going on?
Please help
Root charge again
Why should I root it in order to charge it as before?

Always use charger 1.8A.. (original huawei) or 2A (samsung one)
in car u have cheap rubbish charger probably NOT even 1A..
I use 2A .. at home ..
Get proper quality car charger..
Yeah well, it charged my note 3, note 4 and OnePlus One without any problems..... So obviously it's not the charger...

Are you able to solve the issue. I am also facing same issue. I have changed charger , factory reset the phone but still its charging at extremely slow rate.
Same problem here. Has anyone a solution for the slow charging? I just charged for over an hour and it went from 22% to 25%. Original charger and cable.
Exactly same problem .
I have changed the firmware to official lolipop 5.1.1 but there is no difference.
Start charging at midnight and at 7 h am, 40% battery!
The phone is charging but if I must charge for 24 hours , this is a big problem.
This problem is only on Lolipop or same on Kitket?

I don't know but i am in lolipop
i think it is only Lolipop problem,i have the same broblem ,but not every time to slow charge.
Buy yourself USB power monitor on ebay or amazon (they arent expensive) to see how much Amps is getting through. I had three different cables and only one of them charged with 1.7A. The other .085A or 0.99A.

Please check if your data cable works when you connect your mate 7 to pc? By it I means if your device is deted as media device or it only charges ?
This problem used to happen with me .. look
the problem isn't actually the charger itself, it's the USB cable. It needs to be a genuine USB cable that came with some phone, I use a samsung one that came with a note 3. borrow one or get it, or get a full charger.
those USB types work
- HTC , Samsung , Huawei
But first, You need to get a samsung charger 5V >> 2A " you just say to the seller, Samsung fast charge capable charger"
my Huawei y6 is now slow charge from 50 to 100 it take around 3 hrs . i use the original charger.what could be the reason ? And how to solve this ?

Hello Xda,
I am using Galaxy note edge SM - 915G
Its fast charging is not working properly when i connect it to power socket with fast charger, its just keep connecting and disconnecting.
I have confirmed, Fast charger option is ticked under battery setting.
I also tried replacing with new charger and with new battery had no luck.
But if i use normal charger it charges well and doesn't connect disconnect.

Can anyone please guide me what could be the problem or how to get it fixed normal charge takes hell lot of time.

I really think the problem is first with the usbc 3.1 cable. Be sure to buy one that is fully usbc 3.1 and from a good brand, then charge it. LG V50 has 5Gbps usbc 3.1 port enabled. The most advanced in smartphone market. Then go for 5v 2a if the cable doesn't fix it.
Don't think that caused any trouble. I charge my phones with different charges convenient available at site. It's only whether I get fast charging or not AFAIS. Samsung fast charger doesn't fast charge my LG V50, but other third party brand does. Please kindly enlighten me if this hurt my battery life badly.

Mi note 7 pro Battery charging issue

my phone charging has become very slow. i tried checking the voltage of charger, trying new charging brick and also checked with new wire but no change. i think it is because of the latest update (MIUI 12). has anyone facing this same issue?

Question Fast Charging on and off

Hey guys, something I've noticed recently with my X3 Pro is that whenever I have it connected to a charger that uses some kind of fast charging protocol, it'll charge for five seconds, disconnect and then repeat. It happens with all sorts of chargers and cables, all of which have worked fine in the past. Using standard USB-A to Type-C connections work fine but even the USB-A fast charge port on my power hub gives it this issue.
I've been looking online for solutions, tried air blasting the charging port, there doesn't seem to be any other kind of battery irregularities like a swollen shape or an increase in battery drain, now I'm worried that it might be the Type-C port itself. I'm running the latest version of Lineage OS but it doesn't seem like the OS has anything to do with it either as the charging problem persists when charging while powered down.
What do you guys think? I'm hoping it's not a hardware issue but I want a second opinion.
I have The same Problem.
Only The original charger works with fast charging. Haaven't found The issue on The Internet before your Post. Ist there a solution? Maybe this is Kernel related?
Poco x3 NFC nowhere near fast charging
So, here's my issue. Original cable N brick, charges almost nothing. Putting the brick N cable into my old not fast charging supported phone gives 1200 mA. Unbelievable N here almost nothing. Running MIUI 12.5.4
forum.xda-developers.com
I tried 65w charger, phone didnt support fast charging, only original works well
