Question Firmware request - Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3

Hey, ive got a z flip 3 today from our shop, but the retail mode is activated. Now I want to flash a new firmware over Odin, but I cant find any (okay, I found one on samfrew, but the DL would take 2 days).
Somebody know where I can find a firmware for DBT region?

Have you tried Frija?

Why not to bring back to store from where you bought it?

Yeah, I already found a firmware, but the retail mode wont let me activate the dev. options, and I cant boot into download mode. Samsung try to protect their sample units harder than last year.

Because its from my shop. Im the owner. Its just a sample unit from samsung to show it to the customers.

I can say you are out of luck then.

Why do you want a different firmware? It's not a usable unit. It's just a demo...

Probably hoping to unlock the full software. Apple TV was like that. You flash an update and the demo becomes a full unit.

Not too sure on that. I don't think Samsung is going to make it that easy.

Think the PB6 is as close to stock as you will get, The G930T I have came out with PB6, could not get a decent download or only links to the virus and scam downloads.
Managed to get a google drive copy of the PB8 to get rid of the garbage PC8 firmware.
Oh I tried about 12 times to download the G930T PB8 from sammobile and always got defective downloads. Their servers was too unstable to do one complete download, Both fast and slow ended up at a ridiculous 365kb/s on a 100MB/s 20MB/s fiber optic line.
the other copy I got only had a problematic HOME CSC that kept on crashing Odin 3.10.6 and 3.10.7

What's your country? The files mentioned in the links contain multi-CSC. Even though it says a certain country it's mainly for all countries in the Indian subcontinent.
Good thing with these roms are they've minimal addon stuff. Mine just came with some Samsung stuff and Microsoft stuff.

I'm in Thailand > < so hotvery hot right now.......44c+ =A=||| , I seach on some website refering that if the phone and rom not match on the region u will not b able to update the phone TTwTT so sad .....
...and yes mine came with that one too sumsung stuff with office stuff TTvTT,......... I accidently forgot to backup stock app and delete it..................... so............... I accidently use sumsung smart switch to rebuild all firmware stock to it's original and good to know that even how much it mess up, I might b able to roll back to it's firmware stock > <'''
ps. out of the topic > < a bit ..................not sure root vs non-root the driver kernal of sumsung itself will b different? the emulator ppsspp seem like not working on all series s7 and edge TTvTT even some old app like games FF tactic was stop for no reason like ppsspp and some app cam that I use..........somes say it has things to do with jit cause by sumsung mess something up ..............TT^TT
Glad to hear you managed to sort things out.
I used to be someone who flashed roms and was fiddling with stuff on the phones some time ago. But now I don't have the time or patience to do those things. And anyways the current TW & S7 doesn't give me a reason to go for a custom ROM.
I might head that way in a year or two, but at the moment only trying to use it as stock.

Any chance of getting either asc1 or asd1 for the j337vpp please? This phone I have is on J337VPPVRU2ASC1 , So believe those are my only options correct?
Will this work with my J3 with an ASE1 firmware? Or is there a different file?
Which combo do I use for j337vppvru7btg2?

There is not a stock firmware available for that specific device, faked devices don't have any software support. You're chasing a ghost.
The best you can hope for is a firmware that is "close" to what you need and even if you install it, there will probably be features and functions that won't work without modifying the firmware to make it completely compatible with the device.
Personally, I suggest they forget about that device and get a non-faked device, they'll be better off that way.
I don't understand why anyone would waste their money on fake devices and then think they can do the things with it that can be done with brand named devices.
It's like intentinally and knowingly spending money to have your face stomped into the dirt.
I would think that the average person is smarter than that, but I guess not.

Hello, there actually is. That you can't do the same features you can install ok phones like samsung, that i know. But there is a stock flashrom, there is for all such phones, i just need someone who can export it (if they have the same model) so i can flash it back on.

If your device has a stock firmware that is available to the public, then why haven't you downloaded it and flashed it? I'll tell you why, because it doesn't exist, that is why.
So, I say again....
No, that is not true at all. Not all devices have a stock firmware that is available to the public. This is especially true for cloned/faked devices. I've never seen a cloned device that has a firmware that is available to be downloaded and flashed. Everyone I've ever seen here with a cloned/fake device that needed a stock firmware has had to find firmware from a different device that is close to the same thing as the device they had and then modify the firmware to work on their device, some never find anything that works.
Sure, parts of the stock ROM can be dumped from the device if it is rooted, but, that won't give you the entire firmware from the device, there are parts that can't be dumped.
I don't think you understand what is going on as well as you think you do.
I searched for the firmware for you. I found a lot of devices with P31 in the name, some of them have a firmware that is available, but none of them were the device you have. I did not find anything that you can use.
See what I mean? Cloned devices have absolutely no software support of any kind. The people that make these devices don't care about supporting their product or supporting the customer, all they care about is making the devices and selling them to whatever fool will buy them.
When you buy a fake device, you take your chances and you better hope nothing goes wrong because you're pretty much screwed if it does.

CPH2025CW - Flash Global?

I have a CPH2025 running CW though I purchased it from Amazon UK and can confirm it's Unlocked Network wise, is there no way of flashing just a Global CPH2025 to it so I'm able to get updates quicker?
Nope
There's a flashing tool used by Oppo, Realme and OnePlus phones called MSN Download Tool.
It's what they use internally and there are always leaked / cracked versions available for OnePlus, but not so much Oppo. IF you managed to find the right version you could in theory change your software version. You'd need the tool and .ofp file (which is the full firmware).
I have a couple of cracked versions of the tool and OFP files that I stumbled across when trying to convert my Chinese version to global, but not willing to try on my CPH2025 in case I brick it (plus I have the global version so nothing to gain by doing so). Sure Oppo would reflash under warranty if you could be bothered with the inconvenience of not having a phone for a week.

Unlikely, there are only a few leaked versions of the full firmware, I have found A14 and A29, as ColorOS 11 isn't even out yet is say there is zero chance of getting a leaked version that someone has cracked.... Just have to wait.

Does it factory reset the phone? How is 4g/5g performance when you switch regions? I imagine Singapore would use different bands... And how does it look with Google Pay, certifications, Widevine etc?
Update: Never mind, tried it, the *# code is actually for a realme device, can't find one specific to Find X2 or X2 Pro, and have no idea if there is a way to extract a list of those secret codes from the device itself...

The *# works on the Find X2 Pro. It's not Realme-specific. Google Pay still works for me and didn't notice any mobile data difference. No factory reset either
I've tried and it works. Changed the region a few times, tried Singapore, UK, then the multi-language E - all worked fine. It even disabled and enabled region specificNone of them have me a ColorOS 11 update though which is why I was doing it.
However, I changed to Thailand True and now this procedure doesn't work. Now stuck on Thailand ?. My fault for playing too much!

Thanks for the post Adam, you've made a lot of people very happy. This change in regional settings had enabled people to get ColorOS 11 early, replace carrier specific software for a more generic version, get features like the Theme Store and call recording working and even opened up the possibility of having dual SIM on a single SIM variant!
Cheers buddy! ?

Question T-mobile locked to debrand and unlock it SM-S908U

Hi guys,
I just bought a Galaxy S22 and it's locked and seems like can't be unlocked by T-Mobile, I'd like to flash it with a stock ROM and I'm wondering if that's enough to get the phone unlocked, I don't want to root it.
I've been searching and I saw a couple of firmware but not sure if they are up to date and how is the process to flash the phone.
I'd like to flash it using a MacBook Pro.
baseband is
S908USQU2CWCE
S908U - Galaxy model
SQ - Snapdragon
U - update
2 - Bootloader version 2?
CWCE - what's this?
any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.

You cannot defeat a carrier lock by simply flashing a different CSC. There are online services available that can do this for a fee. Due to XDA's policy on paid content/services, I cannot recommend a specific service.
If you use firmware for a different model, such as S908B, you could render your device inoperable.
As for flashing firmware, there is already an existing thread on this. Please search before posting.

First, why can it not be unlocked? Did you buy it outright or do you still owe payments on it? If paid off, it should be able to be unlocked.
And check the How to Guides tabs for instructions on flashing and so on. I keep my device stock all the way, other than the launcher and icons.
