[Q] Micro USB charger for airplanes?

Has anyone found a good micro-usb charger for use on airplanes? I've only been able to find some over $100 universal adapters and some inverters which are larger and heavier than the G2 they're going to charge.

[Q] Micro-USB chargers don't fit properly?

Hey,
Is anyone else noticing that not all micro USB chargers fit properly with this phone? For example, I have a Micro USB charger from my Droid Pro that I really like because it has interchangeable plugs (for use in foreign countries). Unfortunately this charger doesn't fit quite right and sometimes the phone doesn't charge/doesn't detect being plugged in. It seems loose and has a lot of play when it's "plugged into" the phone.
If you look at the micro USB port itself, it seems to be pushed back into the bezel by about 1mm more than "normal" -- so I think this may be the cause of the problem. If I hold the micro USB cables side by side, it seems like the metal part of the official cable is about 1mm longer than the cable for my Droid Pro. Actually, I probably could take an exacto knife to the pro's cable and cut it back a little bit...
So - is anyone else experiencing this? It's worth noting that the official charger works fine and fits snugly, so it's not the phone itself is messed up.

I have had a charger or two that mine hasn't been happy with. I believe that the output of the charger is an issue as well. It seems that an output of less that about 1 amp won't activate the charging circuit. I blame it on the larger battery. My tablet won't charge with too low an amp rating either.

My Razr Maxx HD charges just fine with an 850 ma charger -- and the phone should charge even with 500 ma since that's the maximum output of USB. Can you please provide further details on how you came to this conclusion?
Only an assumption based on my experiences with other devices (tablets) and chargers, most notably the Palm Touchstone which was/is notoriously picky about the amperage. I have had a charger or two that would not charge the Maxx HD that seemed to seat well in the connector. If I remember right my wife's Samsung Nexus charger is one of these. I can only guess that, if the connector seats well in the socket that lack of amperage could be the cause of the charger not working with the Maxx. I only offer this up as a possible cause to charging issues. There are certainly other possibilities.
Note: I did just try the USB port on my laptop with a know "good" cable and it does activate the charging circuit. So while I'll still contend that not all chargers are equal to the others, in this case I'm probably wrong in thinking the amperage to be the culprit. I'll have to examine some cables a little closer even though they appear to fit correctly!

Which cable to buy?

Hello everyone,
after micro USB change (I used it for approx. 20 times in a year and even it caused disconnections with original cable) I've started searching for good universal cable which is compatible with Galaxy s6 too - Blitzwolf double sided cable (I was using that for 1,5 year) oficially is not compatible, and now they aren't producing it. I'm from Poland so shipping ways are important. I need universal cable - to charge a lot of different devices (ex. Galaxy S6, Sony SRS-X2 speaker - this one has problems with blitzwolf cable, it's too loose, Xiaomi Powerbank (to charge powerbank and later devices using this cable)
I dropped my s6 while charging and I had charging port like a cave I can't charge it whithout leaving it like a sleeping baby ??? OMG Samsung is cheap as he'll how come this devices still using port why they don't just use some types of magnets connectors
I've tested Anker (30cm) and Aukey (CB-D10) cables. Both are perfect and well made. Every piece hits 2A on 5V and 1.6A on 9V.
Go for this one ! Anker PowerLine+
I've got one since 1 year and half
Unfortunately i would have to get that cable from amazon, what's not cheap way (I'm from Poland). I will stay with actual cables - they were priced at ~2,5$ each. I wanted Anker one.
Anker PowerLine cables are very well made. I use their cables, wall chargers, and portable chargers. MicroUSB is a pretty weak design that will eventually fail but my Ankers seem to be holding up.

USB-C - USB C and other cables not charging, only USB-C - USB-A cable works???

Hey All, new to this forum but have done my fair share of lurking so will contribute as much as I can.
This problem that I've encountered is puzzling me. At first I thought my port on my phone was broken and have ordered a replacement part but before I do that and do a factory reset I was wondering if anyone has had similar problems. Hoping its a software problem bc of Android OS 10
- So oem usb-c to usb-c with fast charge (OEM) doesn't work
- 2 other usb-c to usb-c with fast chargers dont work.
- usb-c to usb-a with regular charger (think its 1a-2a) works, slow charge as expected when off faster but still slower
Any ideas outside of factory reset and port replacement??
Before you go to too much trouble, make sure the bottom of the port is clear of pocket lint or other debris that might keep the cable from fully seating in the port.
I recently bought the following ugreen cables, working just fine, rapid charge, etc
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32679851391.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.29cc4c4dvBCnKC

black pvc in both cases
working with original charger and a tronsmart quick charge 2.0
We have 2x 2XLs at home - I recently found out that one of the OEM cables was not working properly and charging only when IT decides.
I bought a new one from Aliexpress for a few USD and now it works/charges everytime (with the OEM adapter).

Wireless charge

Hello, any of you could buy a wireless charging adapter without blocking the USB Type C Port?
I found some in AliExpress but they are all without stock, like this one:

Wow this is actually quite sick
i got a magnetic charge port connector/cable for my mom phone, and a wireless adapter on the tablet that you connect on the port and glue on the back (is very thin).
both works great and simplify so much. but is better to get a quality one and spare cables.
