Okay so again here is another question I hope this one doesn't die too
I want to transfer files between my POCO and my PC (To back up and restore around 100gb)
My motherboard has 4+1 USB3.2 gen1 TypeA and TypeC ports (Asrock B450M Pro4-F)
But if I connect the phone with the original 33W cable the transfer speeds are at best 48mb/s (USB2.0 speed)
So is the cable the one that is limiting the transfer to 2.0?
Or it's just the phone that doesn't support USB3.0?
I'm asking because I found a USB TypeC to TypeC 24AWG that claims to support 5gbps data transfers but I don't wanna throw $10USD just to find out that the phone is the limiting factor.
Thanks in advanced if anyone could help me

Just wondering if this is possible, and if so, which phones and OS's will support this. More specifically, will the Samsung Nexus S be able to browse filles off of my WD USB3.0 My Passport Essential SE 1TB?
i have seen something done in this regard where that guy used a "fake" microSD to act as one end of a USB cable. the other end was a regular usb port where he hooked a usb thumb drive. you might try to find it and see if it applies on your case.
only o2 flame can do usb otg
but slow in transfer rate as usb 1.1
I have a similar question. Can i somehow send pictures from a USB device to my iPhone? I really need to get those pictures on my phone. Is there a way other than using my pc?
Hello,
USB C is meant to be USB 3 speeds for data transfer etc ?
However just checking the official specs and its says USB 2.
Does this phone have improved transfer speeds over ordinary USB 2 or is it the same as.
EDIT: - Tested transfer speeds
Read speeds at 28/30Mbs
Write speed at 37.5Mbs
Many Thanks
As far as i know, the phone is only equipped with USB 2.0
Will Have to do speed tests later on.
Shame they've got a new port but not upgraded to USB 3/3.1 if so
Right so I can read via a USB 3 port to the phone via USB C at 30/28Mbs and write at 37Mbs
Seriously?
Sony always manage to whack in under par hardware for these 3: USB, sdcard reader and speakers.
Since the z1 actually.
However this being there must premium offering I'd have hoped they actually changed this and inserted premium hardware. Shame on all the counts.
Yeah I'm not pleased with it at all.
So after a year, I managed to grab a USB Type C to C (thunderbolt 3) cable and test with a board with thunderbolt 3 port.
The speed for transferring a 1.XGB .mkv file via MTP is still 30-40Mbs... as expected.
Interesting thing is that flashmode does not work, but fastboot and MTP mode still works with USB-C to C cable...
Flash mode does work with USB 3.1 Type A to C port/cable on the same board.
Anyone else also have see something like this? Or maybe its just cable/board issue.
Will need a USB C to USB 2.0 adapter, otherwise all my portable battery charger or even not able to transfer picture or music from PC
anyone recommend?
Whether Android have certified cable issue? or as any USB cable that can connect the phone to computer will be fine?
thx
Buy decent brand (eg anker, aukey etc). They also do c-a converter plugs.

I am using SanDisk dual USB-c on one side and regular USB-a on the other side make transfering files to/from phone >laptop a breeze. I had this USB drive for about 6 months and so far no issues
SanDisk Ultra 128GB Dual Drive USB Type-C (SDDDC2-128G-G46)
I ask this because i have here like 20 different USB C cables from all qualitys and they all behave weird with the Poco X3 on my Windows PC but the Original Cable works flawless
Like it disconnects and reconnects asap like 40 times with the other USB c cables or the Xiaomi unlocker cant read data like it time outs.
but with the official cable it works.
