I have managed to get kernel 4.4 working on lithium, all features are working including proximity sensor. This has FBE (file based encryption) enabled, which is easier to work with and use than traditional FDE (full disk encryption) in previous Android versions. Because of this change, you MUST use the FBE enabled TWRP recovery linked above in order to access your files in recovery mode. In case you missed it, here is the link again:
FBE enabled TWRP: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=7161016148664782081
If you are coming from a 3.18 based ROM (which you probably will be) you MUST format your internal storage directly after flashing the ROM. Backup anything important first.

Yeah, you get the message (which is not an error from Google, but actually the useless trust interface from LineageOS) because just as it says, SELinux is not enforcing. Whether it weakens your security or not is up for debate, which I'm not going to get into here. I will eventually get it in enforcing mode. Just get your software from the play store and don't install apks from sketchy sites and it's not a problem.

Maybe you could fetch a log so that the dev has something to work with. I use MatLog.
New build is up with some device specific fixes. Get it from download link in the first post.
• Revised auto brightness setup
• WiFi display (screen cast) now working
• Kernel upstreamed to 4.4.280
• Vendor updated to LA.UM.9.6.2.r1-04200-89xx.0
I don't have an OTG cable because I have no need for one. The chances of me fixing that without logs is slim to none. So get me some logs innit

Amazing work as always. Thanks a lot
In Portugues Braziliam:
- Pontos positivos:
- economia de bateria, melhorou muito
- fluidez do sistema
- aplicativos de bancos instalados sem dores de cabeça...
============================================================
In English:
Sorry, I don't speak English, I'm using Google Translator...
I made a point of sharing the problems...
- when connecting to the computer, the USB connection options don't appear, I have to look in the device.
- Gesture commands are not working, I installed a third-party application to use it.
- Strengths:
- battery saving, much improved
- system fluidity
- installed banking apps without headaches
So I moved to this from a stock rom. Now the battery is draining fast and the back of the phone is getting hot. Is anyone else having these issues?
i want this rom but when i flashed it, something like boot loop or something, please help me on this

To God be the glory, a working AOSP ROM for those on both the 50.1 and the 50.2 firmware, now based on Android 11! This is a fully functional ROM, but there may still be a few bugs here and there, please read this entire post before using!
**** This is an UNOFFICIAL ROM. Install at your own risk! ****
WARNING: This build SHOULD work on both the H3213 and H3223, but I could only test on a H3223.
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any damages to your device.
A huge thanks to the Android Open Source Project and Sony Open Devices Project!
The Sony Open Devices Project (SODP) is, in Sony's own words:
For some of the Xperia™ devices, we provide Android™ Open Source Project (AOSP) device configurations on GitHub. This means that the software will be open for you as a developer to use and contribute to. This is a way for us to support the open Android community, and it is also a tool for us to facilitate and verify contributions to AOSP.

That said, any and all of my work relating to this project is completely available for any who wish to use or modify it. I didn't make AOSP, SODP, the device trees, or vendor blobs. I simply used and edited existing material. A huge thanks should go to those who actually created this stuff.
This Unofficial AOSP ROM was built for the H3223 (discovery), but may work on some of the other variants, please try at your own risk. However, if you do try it on another variant, please post in the comments how well it worked so others may benefit.
Downloads:
Rom Download link:
Note: This is designed to work with any firmware version of the XA2 Ultra, because you flash a custom OEM partition. I've tested this on 50.1 and 50.2 firmware phones.
http://www.mediafire.com/folder/dl8dcra6ojog5/Sony+Open+Device+Project
Installation instructions: (DIFFERENT THAN NORMAL! DONE THROUGH FASTBOOT!)
- Download the zip file for AOSP 11.
- Unzip the zip file, and you will find 5 images.
- If using Windows, put these in your folder you use for fastboot, if using Linux, you can do this from any folder.
- Reboot the phone into bootloader/fastboot mode.
- Flash them to your phone, like so (example for Linux)
Code:
$ fastboot flash boot ./boot.img
$ fastboot flash oem ./oem.img
$ fastboot flash system ./system.img
$ fastboot flash userdata ./userdata.img
$ fastboot flash vendor ./vendor.img
$ fastboot reboot
Your phone will now boot into AOSP 11!
If you plan to install magisk, then let the rom boot once, then install the magisk app. Use this downloaded boot.img and have magisk edit it. Then go back to fastboot mode and flash the edited boot image. It worked for me, but you do so at your own risk!
What works:
Code:
So far these things that I have tried work, such as
- Display/touch
- Camera (front and back) for pictures and video!
- Phone calls
- Data 3g/LTE
- Bluetooth
- WiFi
- Sound in system, in calls, over bluetooth devices
- MicroSD card (external SD card).
- GPS
- Fingerprint sensor
etc....
What doesn't:
Code:
- FM Radio does not work
- Camera button does not launch camera.
- Nothing else that I know of, but you are welcome to post here if you find something!

WARNING: I built this ROM from SODP source, and I am using it as a daily driver. However, I don't use GAPPS, so I don't know if they work. I also will not be updating or maintaining this ROM. I am posting it here because I believe in sharing, however I am not intending to fix, edit, or update anything on this ROM. Please know that if you install it, you will not be receiving updates here. You are welcome to build the latest versions, dailies, nightlies, monthlies, etc., by going to the SODP website and completing the builds yourself. I just don't have the time to do it, but thought that I would share the build I made for myself.
The only edit I made was I rebuilt the kernel with GCC rather than the pre-built Clang kernel so the camera would work properly.
If you do find an issue with the ROM, you can post that issue here if you would like. However, the best thing to do is post it on SODP's bug tracker, so that they can fix it.

Does miracast work? I know that google took that feature out, but i hope its still in this rom enabled. In other roms (lineage) if i try to miracast, it can find the receiver, but when i try to actually connect to it, it stucks on a soft reboot. Can someone test this out for me? (ps, you can make almost any windows laptop as a miracast receiver if you dont own one, you could try on that).
dang people still using this phone? I totally would try going back if volte now days wasnt so dam important
Gaggps? Existe

I am transitioning from a SonyEricsson phone and wanting a good smart phone without all the Google spyware. I installed your ROM on an XA2 Ultra (H3223) and I am having two problems: first, that call audio is not transferred to Bluetooth, and second that customized notification sounds are not playing. Otherwise, everything is pretty good, though I miss the Xperia-style customizations from Sony.
I switched from ATT to T-Mobile and now I have a problem on TMobile network.I was wondering if flashing a new OS would make any difference.Thank you

Have you tried updating Google phone app from the play store? Because on my device it works without problems.
Also can you provide some logs while you hung up the call so I can find out what is the issue? Thanks
Edit: have you flashed the ROM coming from latest stock firmware? Also can you check you baseband version under "About" in you settings please?

Try updating modem to the latest version and possibly all firmware to latest version, it should fix the problem.
Don't hesitate to ask again if the issue still occur
Same problem as with all Roms posted here on xda. (LineagenOS 17.1 and LineagenOS 18.1) does not work, does not work, the red button to hang up the call. I can't end the call. i have a motorola one vision xt1970-2. baseband version: S337AP_KANE_SGCS_QB2881431.
Apparently I'm not the only one with this problem, I don't know if there will ever be a patch, a solution, what a pity, I love this rom, but I can't keep using it, I can't hang up the call. there are already 3 (Roms). LineagenOS 17.1, LineagenOS 18.1 and DotOs, and neither works for me.

they're different, this build is official and khalvat's build is unofficial.
You can create a new thread on unified deveploment
Is your development related to Khalvats? I mean did you include his fixes and optimization like higher Mic gain?
Do you plan to fix the faulty charging value? I don't know why Khalvat doesn't want to, but fix for it is there since last year at least.

Is not related, there are several differences that I found between both builds:
Khalvat 7.11
- ROM didn't pass safetynet (CTS profile)
- Android SystemWebView version 92.x.x.x
- Battery drain if you set oppacity level on QS and/or notification panel
- A little bit of lag
- Not official
This one:
- ROM passes safetynet
- Android SystemWebView version 94.x.x.x
- NO battery drain if you set oppacity level on QS and/or notification panel
- Smooth
- Official (implies monthly updates/builds)
You can make another thread con unified development @bestiatester
Seria una buena idea porque ahí lo miraría mas gente o puedes hacer un thread ahí con un link que redirija para aqui

Thanks a lot for that comparison. While the official tag theoretical implies monthly updates, it still depends on the developer. If he doesn't have time or changes mind, there won't be any update. I guess the OTA Update would be a real difference.

Asking a Mod to move thread would be the better choice as it would look like spamming to have threads everywhere.

Maybe I'm blind, but I only see download link for KLTE and not for variants, did I miss something?
There is a reason there is an extra unified section and that is:
For unified AOSP type ROMs, kernels and mods., suitable for multiple S5 versions
Click to expand...

So if it's KLTE only it would be the wrong section.
You can download for all the klte devices the only thing is that you need to flash lineage OS boot.img to boot con other devices

Currently I'm using kernel sources from lineage os. But I'm open to suggestions.
If you point me to the fix for the charging problem I'll try to include it.

I'm no developer, but I just asked fbs as he has fixed it in his Tuned kernel long ago. If he doesn't directly reply here, I will forward his answer.
But if I remember correctly it was a simple multiplication (by hundred or so).
Working great on my klte sm-g900r4 with Mindthegapps MindTheGapps-11.0.0-arm-20210212_145641.zip
Thank you for the continued support of this still solid device.
I have 2 of them. Just toys for me to fulfill my flashing/modding needs
I run LOS 18.1 on the other to compare.
I get a crash before login on this rom resulting in a bootloop even after wiping data. 7.6 runs without problems.
But I did not flash any g-apps cause I don't need their functionality. Could this be related on this version?

But I did not flash any g-apps cause I don't need their functionality. Could this be related on this version?

I don't think so, the first time only to test the ROM, I did a clean flash (no gapps nor magisk) without any issues, the second time I did a clean flash with gapps and magisk without any issue/problems, working smooth, it's my daily driver

Hope you'd like the ROM, I love pixel experience myself and so far the experience has been solid. I'm not sure of it becoming an official rom anytime soon tho as I'm burdened with work and it would be harder to maintain atm, but in the coming future, maybe

Try enabling "disable A2DP Hardware Offload" in developer settings and restart your phone, it should fix the Bluetooth audio issue. I'll also be releasing a new build soon to make sure no one else faces this issue.

I find a way to install root with magisk. Works well for me, a little bugs here and there, nothing that ruin my experience with this rom.

Yeah. The navigation bar has a bug, that sometimes when you watch videos in full screen with a browser it gets stuck in portrait mode, it doesn't disappear from the screen, I just fix it by turning on auto rotate, and spinning it, and it's gone. Another is that I use Greenify with root, but Greenify crashes the system, gets stuck and reboots. Also the time is a bit close to the front camera. Will you add the moto gestures?

NOTE: It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug, restoring regular apps is fine.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
CLEAN FLASH :
0. Boot in OFOX metadata;
1. Format Data (Press on the recycle bin icon —-> format data ——> type yes);
2. Press on "back" and flash the rom using adb sideload (Go to 3 lines in the bottom right corner -----> adb sideload ----> swipe ----> open the cmd from adb tools folder ------> adb sideload < drag and drop the zip over the cmd>);
3. Flash ofox zip the same way through adb sideload, it will automatically reboot to ofox after flashing is done;
4. Flash gapps; (Only if the rom does not contain gapps);
5. Flash magisk (Optional);
6. Change filesystem to f2fs (Go to 3 lines in bottom right corner ----> manage partitions ----> select data -----> change fs ------> f2fs);
7. Reboot.
DIRTY FLASH :
- Boot in OFOX metadata;
- Flash the rom zip;
- Flash ofox zip, it will automatically reboot the phone to ofox after the flashing is done;
- Flash gapps ( ONLY IF THE ROM DOES NOT COME WITH GAPPS ALREADY);
- Flash magisk (Optional);
What works?
Wifi | RIL | Mobile data | GPS | Camera
Flashlight | Camcorder | Bluetooth | Fingerprint reader | Lights | Sound | vibration
Almost everything
What doesn't work?
- VoLTE (Will never work on custom roms on LG phones)
- 10 bit video recording (Watching content in 10 bit works, you just cant record video in 10 bit format).
