[Q] Rooting help samsung SCH i500 help

Hello all. I have managed to root my droid incredible but need help rooting my wifes samsung galaxy s fascinate. model number sch i500. It seems that im going to have to take a different route on rooting this phone other then using unrevoked3. I just want to know what programs people are using to root this phone. Also are there any 1 click programs to root this device? So any advice would be greatly appriciated. O yeah i am using windows 7 64bit. Thanks in advance

All you have to do it flash cwm with odin or heimdall then flash the root package zip with cwm.

will cwm with odin root the 2.3.6 i had root on my i500 showcase wth the z4 root but lost it when my phone did a update and lost root

use framaroot, just install app and get rooted

Doesn't work on any kernel version past June of last year. Should put that in your OP since this is widely known. It will never be updated to work either because geohot was picked up by Google to help them find the exploits and patch them.

Flash an older kernel with Odin, root with towelroot, flash the current kernel. That's how we've all been rooting the T530 and T530NU (and I'm sure other models too).

Yes that's how we do it on the AT&T version of Note 3 and S5 also, I was just talking about the instructions in OP not specifying that as a step.

Install: Use Odin3 Flasher and select the *tar.md5 as AP / PDA only.

I have one but with TWP don´t work and i search but don´t found pre-rooted for me version.

Afaik sadly there is no a pre rooted LP ROM nor a working twrp with this os version... Hoping for better news for now stuck on rooted kk...

To put it simply, no. This will put kit kat onto the phone, so it will overwrite lollipop.

So I have a galaxy A03s I wanto install a custom or good os pack. This thread seems to be providing and having questions in the same realm being asked, I know how to install and mod phones but I mainly just build PCs for my job, I have not modded a phone in awhile , I’m using a iPhone SE ver 3 , I hate that I can’t install apks from apkpure and custom apps.
I’ve acquired a newer galaxy A03s “one with 3 cameras on the back , I attached a photo of the blue download screen showing what I’m working with, what is the best Android custom pack or what not to install via plunging into pc or any other way , easiest if possible

Cant get Magisk to work on Huawei device

Hi guys.
Im having trouble trying to install Magisk on my Huawei Y7 2018 and im hopping you help me to find the issue. First of all ive read the official guide and followed every step, the issue i have is when you have to patch the recovery.img and boot.img files,but i found none of those in my OEM rom file. Reading a few threads on this forum it seems that Huawei doesnt have those exact files on their roms but i havent found wich ones are the equivalents to be patched.

Well, no luck. The phone keeps reeboting after i flash the patched file.

how did you patch the RAMKDISK.img? did you preserve encryption?

Well here's how i managed to make it work.
1 - Installing a custom recovery, in this case TWRP 3.2 (ministryofsolutions has a tutorial on his website about this)
2 - Donwloading the latest Magisk apk from the official website.
3 - Renaming the .apk file to a .zip file, this is necesary in order to make it flashable through TWRP.
4 - After flashing Magisk from recovery reboot the phone and open the app, if it ask for an update tap the allow button.
5 - After the update is done check the status and it should display the installed version.
6 - Check the root status with root checker.
7 - Done !
