Try update again to 11.0.0.194 by OTA while mobile is charging. Then downgrade again using EloyGomez TV method if transfer data works

Like above I just got a P40 Pro. I updated the firmware without the acknowled that you can't install Google with the new version. The only reason why I want Google is the YouTube app and Pokémon Go won't work without.
As the title says I don't have a windows pc, just a Macbook. I red a article that you can downgrade with a USB. Luckily I have a USB C laying around.
Has anyone a nice tutorial and maybe even a firmeware link to download?
Good day guys!
here is my tutorial, but in german language: https://youtu.be/EydJcYIlI8o
But it won't work, like the title says I don't have a windows PC.
without pc, sorry ...
What about using a stick? I could just move the firmware via the dload method on to a stick and "update". Would that work?
Had the same issue, you need to use HiSuite Proxy. The HiSuite version of MacOS is different and not as full featured as the windows version. I used a windows emulator on my Mac but it didn't seem to want to install the HiSuite.exe. I bought a cheap used notebook to downgrade my software.
Did you tried to install Google ??
A friend has install it on Mate30 pro yesterday and today.

Won't work because for the first link I don't have the right firmware (can't downgrade without windows PC)
Second video is the same. The app won't work with the new firmware.
To install GSM I downgraded my P40 lite from Emui 10.0.1.236 all way down to Emui 10.0.1.108 using Firmware Finder, Hisuite proxy and Hisuite Itself.
Now after installing google, I want to update the phone to 10.0.1.236 again, but it says that the older version is the newest in the updates menu. I tried to reinstall Hisuite, tried to update with the Hisuite proxy and Firmware Finder and with builtin updater in the phone. But still... I can't update my system.
If someone knows some way to reactivate the updates on the phone please reply to this thread
Hi.
Was in the same situation. Tried multiple old firmwares with hisuite proxy, and they downloaded and worked just fine, but couldn't upgrade from them.
Finally found a suggestion on a German forum that worked.
Using the OTG software install method, download a firmware from easy-firmware(dot)com and install that. Be very careful what software you donwnload as you could brick your device.
This worked for me, installed version 144 for my P40 Pro Plus, got immediately a software update notification to 156. Delayed that, done the GMS install, restarted, updated to 156, and then, because I was in thebeta, updated to EMUI 11. All good.
Please be aware that the site is requiring money for the downloads, and that I am in no way affliated with them. It's your own decision what to do

Did you ever figure it out? My p40 lite is doing the same thing on 10.0.1.108 as well
OTG install a complete firmware. There is no other way.
Working perfectly ever since I wrote the previous post, upgraded from the Emui11 beta to the final without issues.

Will this remove the Googlefier install ?
Yeah, you have to completely reset and erase the phone, flash the oldest firmware you can find through OTG, then after booting stop the automatic updates from settings.
Then apply Googlefier and after everything is working fine, only then update.
I had a hard time finding the firmware files for OTG, maybe you're luckier.
So basically, I have 10.0.1.108 installed currently with Googlefier installed.. I'm not able to update the emui via hisuite/proxy, fails the install. So then I need to do OTG install of a fullota emui and then reinstall Googlefier? I guess anything newer than .108 should be ok?
Yes, but be careful, try picking an older software, or you won't be able to use Googlefier. It fails with the latest updates, so your best bet is install it on an older one and then update.
A reinstall of your version 108 or something a bit newer should work.
i installed gms with downgrade from emui 11 to emui 10.1 and then i cant connect to pc and the now usb is not working tried debugging usb still no luck
any solution?
Update back to emui11 after you install GMS and conection will be fine. Use search function, because this problem is not new.
thanks i will try

Hello.
I`ve got an question.
For some Days ago i make an Downgrade from the 196 Firmware an my P40 Pro.
The strange on the Downgrade is, that i hadn´t lost of the USB connection.
But imake the downgrade from the 11.0.0.196 to the 10.1.0.176.
This was the official procedure on the HiSuite untill the 11.0.0.176 firmware.
The Downgrade to the 121 Firmware i makes obove the Dload variant without lost the USB connection.
I have the same issue "usb is not working" I upgrade back to Emui 11 but still the USB isnt working - can you guide me how to solve it please?
UPDATE: It asked me to install another update - this solved the issue

Hello people. I have downgrade my phone with hisuite proxy, from 11 to 10.
I didnt look good, and instead of n29 i have installed n39. on my phone is writen nx9 model so i was belived that is ok to install n39.
I have installed that version, install GMS, was working ok. I didnt look at charge, but fast charge and pc connect not working anymore.
I try to connect the phone to pc, to reinstall the right version. but no chance, i have try eRecovery, not working also,
The only thing i can access tru update otg.
I have download dload n29 emui 11, but when i try to install is not working. what can i do now to come back to normal.
to install n39 emui 11?
Many guys tried to change to nx9 after that from this point but no success. It wasn't tryed to update to the last Emui11 of n39, maybe the connection to the computers will be activated again. After that use HiSuite proxy to change to nx9.
so, should i wait? and use like this with no fast charge? or try to update emui 11 from n39
You have no alternative. If I were you I would try to update.
i cannot brick the phone?

[GUIDE] How to solve wrong downgrade+fix USB connection to computer (P40Pro+ firmware on P40 Pro / N39 on N29)
Did you downgrade P40Pro using P40 Pro+ firmware? Maybe this thread can help you. This is for C432 region only. Do not use this firmware on other region firmware. I can prepare the firmware for other region. When you downgrade P40Pro firmware...

I bought a second hand ELS-N29 that is on EMUI 12 and the previous owner told me they flashed it. I noticed that vibration is weak except the indicator that you've reached the maximum/minimum volume, in that case the vibration strength is normal, and USB connection isn't recognized on either PC or phone and SuperCharge isn't working. When I put my phone in fastboot mode, however, the PC recognizes it and when I enter system recovery on HiSuite while the phone is in fastboot, the phone recognizes that I've entered recovery mode. So I'm thinking it's a software issue and not a hardware issue. Is there anyone that can help me with this? eRecovery didn't help. I can't seem to find C185 full OTA anywhere on the internet to try dload (I have an NM card).
If reset to factoy settings doesnt help you, it should be a hardware issue. Also be sure that you use an original USB cable + original 40W charger to have fast charging.
You also be sure that you have installed HiSuite on computer.

When in fastboot mode, the PC recognizes that there's a device connected in recovery mode and the phone does the same so I don't think it's hardware. Failure for that recognition when the phone is powered up is why I think it's a software issue. So I want to flash a full ota or any other means people might suggest here because I can't seem to find firmware for my region.

I don't know what phone do you have, what firmware is on it now or was before you upgraded. A screenshot of About phone is needed.
The simultaneous loss of usb2.0 transfer and Huawei fast charging is a sign of triggering anti-rollback. Usually it is caused by downgrading from a version released after fixing the checkmate 30 vulnerability. Just wireless OTA upgrade to fix it, or you can purchase an harmony tp cable to restore USB 2.0 tranfer, or using a USB 3.0 cable connected to USB 3.0 port to transfer data.
