VOLTE issues with OOS vendor based roms. - Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC Questions & Answers

Hello! I'm having issues with OOS vendor based roms.
When I turn on volte, It works but receiving number is messed up. (on 3rd party caller app)
like this:
[caller's number][receiver's number] ex) 010xxxxxxxx010xxxxxxxx
or [caller's number]&[receiver's number] ex) 010xxxxxxxx&010xxxxxxxx
It happens only on OOS vendor, so I'm staying on MIUI based rom.
How can I fix this? Anyone knows answer, plz leave reply. Thank you in advance.

Which ROMs exactly and which firmware did you use?
I'm running ArrowOS build 20210601 (OSS vendor) and VoLTE and caller ID are working fine.

My mother-in-law had problems with VoLTE on her Xiaomi phone because of a rather old SIM card.
We changed the card to a new one and the problem was fixed.

A developer see's a need to for Redmi6 Mediatec ROM he will develop, but don't wait it could never happen?
I tested lineageos15.1 and it worked, boot was ok and rom very smooth.
I will do it again as soon as I will have a day free.
A little help in the procedure would be great. I've already bricked my 6A by formatting the wrong directories, and had to go to a Xiaomi center to get it fixed. Details would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance ?

Yet SIM doesn't work that well from my experience. I have to "activate" SIM signal and calls and sms won't work.
Otherwise if you still want help reply to me
I still want help. I don't want another bricked phone, that was a nightmare I just don't need right now. Please describe the whole process, from start to finish.
I did it at a moment that I had several free hours.
But now, it's too complicated for me touche find Time to do it again.
I juste followed the steps described un official TWRP github, and then install LOS15.1 Treble image.
boot, login, smooth and wifi was ok But didn't have enough Time to test with a sim for calls or data...
So I reflash stock miui 10 with miflash to find an usable phone.
Juste need a free moment to test los15.1 again and other gsi roms like aosp8.1, pixel experience, etc...
Interested too
Hi.
i'm very interested in having your feedback as i intend to put LineageOS or AOSP Treble on my Redmi 6 global version next month after the bootloader unlock time.
Do you plan to install OpenGoogleApps and root too?
Thanks!

GSI and VoLTE

Hello everyone!
I create this thread to find out which GSI-Roms are VoLTE capable and how to enable VoLTE properly.
In Future here will be a list with all the "hd-capable" gsi-roms and how to activate and setup ims.
1. Havoc 2.0 - original thread here
to enable voLte on Havoc 2.0, you just need to install this as normal user app (I suggest to setup 4g and network befor installing)the base stock rom has to be oreo - dialer fc with pie vendor. As base, I use 9.6.11.0 with stock boot.imgafter reboot it takes up to 2 minutes until volte is available - you can check it out by dialing *#*#4636#*#* /ims status
2. No other roms working... I tried with Liquid remix and ArrowOS
So every new working combination of any rom, vendor and ims.apk is welcome here!

I broke NFC by flashing a GSI PE ROM

Hi there,
Yesterday I followed the instructions over here and I flashed the latest stable Xiaomi.EU ROM on my device, followed by the latest x64 Pixel Experience GSI Rom. All the links are in that thread.
Problem: I just noticed that NFC wasn't working.
What should I do to get a stable Pixel Experience ROM with NFC working?
Which partition is the source of the issue? Is it vendor or is it system? How can I find out for sure?
Thanks

I just did the whole process from scratch, except I didn't use Xiaomi.EU but "perseus_images_9.3.28_20190328.0000.00_9.0_cn_71120d6539" instead.
It didn't fix it.

It might be a known issue with the GSI, did you check the GSI thread over in the treble section

It seems to be an issue with all GSI roms based on Phh's work.
At this point I can choose between GSI PE (with this NFC issue) or non-GSI PE (with the memory leak issue).
Do you know if I have any other option? I've not been able to boot a non-GSI PE with the unstable CN vendor or the unstable global vendor... only with the EU vendor.
I flashed PE (GSI-version) on my Mi Mix 3 yesterday and read some reports about NFC not working. Testing with NFC Tools from Play Store indeed resulted in an error and couldn't find anything in settings about NFC. After some investigation I stumbled upon this thread and flashed the zip in the OP and now it seems to work and options like NFC-switch and Android Beam magically appeared in the settings-menu.

Yes... It's right in the op. Has anyone tried this yet?
can say it's better than the EU port.
Working really well here. I did a clean flash and installed only the ROM zip, which includes Magisk.
While using English US, there are still a few things in Russian. Not a deal breaker though.
Good ROM.
EU?

No MiRoom 9.9.27
Revolution ROM also made a MI8 ROM port to Pocophone. But no MIUI 11 ROM yet. I tested it worked fine, besides the fact you couldn't sync ur data with Mi Cloud.
Hi, I have developer version 9.6.27 MIUI 10 Global. Can I update on see of doing a clean installation?

Do a local backup. Avoid restoration through Google that caused me Xiaomi Cloud Service error messages.

MiCloud not working? Man that's kinda not worth the jump to MIUI11
Thanks for your work.can you add more languages to rom?Spanish, for example.Thanks.
I had problems with MiCloud, too.
On first setup it always crashed and assistant didn't finish. To solve it change language on setup to English. After setting up device, change your language.

MIUIMS won't get updates for Poco anymore. The developer bought a new phone. Telegram channel is also deleted. I switched to miroom and it's also really good.
Working good. Tks you!. Bug : default launcher f.c
A much better port ROM than EU. Feels like a legit Pocophone beta ROM, just wish it had more languages. No rounded corners on recent apps menu is annoying too... If someone properly ports the EU ROM, it will be superior to this because EU has more language support and a much cleaner look. Stability wise, MiRoom is better for now.

Sadly this is true..MiuiMS was IMHO the best of...So also i would to switch to MiRoom or RevOS but it seems that missed some extra features from miuiMS as option to switch from Indian Themes/Chinese Themes (option was in developer settings)..For me this is the only feature that i really missed..
Someone knows if these roms have this feature?

Galaxy S7 SM-G930F: what the best custom rom?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930F what is the best custom rom?
I want to use VoLTE with my 4G connection and use all sensors and hardware of my phone. What's the best rom available? The address book uses always google account so i can continue to save my contacts on google? photos are saved on google photos? or stay only in gallery?
I use "the galaxy project" ROM becouse looks very smooth and nice. This rom has 1 great option "edge backlight" And got every samsung apps , include camera app.
May be not the best, but based on the latest Android 11 update. LineageOS 18 from LineageOS 18 on Samsung Galaxy S7. I have not tested it yet, it is freshly installed without the Android 11 GApps
Updated Feb. 16, 2021: I replaced to the best LineageOS available for Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930F: alexndr's ROM.
If you want everything working, ALEXNDR is the best one:
[ROM][G930F/FD][ALEXNDR] * U8EUE1 * DevBase v7.4 * Encryption support [Jul-10]
Important notes for Developers / Chefs !!! This ROM is NOT based on any other custom ROM. My work contains many original ideas and innovations that I introduced as the first in the ROM development (see "Changelist" in post #2). Of course, it...

I studied alexndr's custom ROM (Android Pie) and replaced the previously installed LineageOS v18. Newer does not necessarily mean better. Thanks for the hint to mooms.
